  1. Hi guys I was just wondering if people are still having success with reclaiming all of sharkleys hideous fees etc from times gone by. It's sort of my own fault for not getting round to doing this sooner.....but at the time I didn't know about it, and it completely just went off my radar while my finances were a mess. I've just received my old statements bank from Barclays. I've just gone through and worked out that I was charged a total of £826.00 over an 11-month period in stupid reserve usage fees, returned transaction fees and guaranteed transaction fees. As you probably guessed I was up to my neck in debt, had payday loans galore and was in massive, massive trouble. The shame of admitting this to my other half and family was too much, so I buried my head for a while, until I finally fronted up to the problem and a relative kindly lent me some cash to remove this reserve and get me out of the cycle. This was back in 2011 (so a while ago), but I still feel its relevant. I'm still in some debt now, and although I'm not in any trouble, this year of torture made me fall behind on other payments that got missed, defaulted etc. Any advice?
  2. Almost everyday on the news there is a story of more deaths in the med, when migrants from north African have tried to flee to Europe. What is the UN and African Union doing about this ? Surely they need to be doing more, so that people don't feel the need to flee their countries.
  3. Weekend in Amsterdam, very nice time. A couple of day's later get a text message from Vodafone with a note about unusual account activity. Between 07:10 and 07:21 there is data usage and a charge from Vodafone of £600 £600 for 11mins OMG I contacted Vodafone who were, and still are, unhelpful. Conflicting advice. First guy, Gareth Gomez, in Cape town said he would refund but couldn't find a manager and would ring me back in 30-60 minutes. Guess what?? Second lady, Jo Fernandez promised she would get Gareth to ring back when he came in today and before 11.00am, guess what?? Third Lady Emma was just plain unhelpful. Forth lady, Carter in Johannesburg, promised a call back from a Manger today, so far, guess what?? In the meantime I've contacted the Vodafone Rep on here Lee, filled in his contact form with the Forum Code and asked for a call back.................... Guess what?? WRT135 - CAG [#8064581] Maybe the Vodafone people can't make outgoing calls, now that would be funny! So, I'm expecting a massive row with Vodafone which will get all nasty and very public. I've not had a really juicy consumer fight for ages, watch this space. Hammy
  4. :xHi We have a Mazda 5 sport which my husband uses for his taxi it requires a new gearbox and we have been waitng since the 11th May for the repair it should of been done by the 17th may but they keep changing the goal post everytime we speak to Mazda or the dealer Underwoods of colchester they keep saying its on the container boat coming from Japan, when I mentioned that my husbands can't work without the car Mazda said we should have contingency plans put in place for when the car is off the road we have if the car is in a accident then we get a replacement taxi but there is no insurance if your car breaks down this doesn't say a lot for the reliability of Mazda cars does it, plus we still have to pay £2,597 for the repair . Mazda have given us a courtesy car but you can't use it for a taxi so what with no money coming and still having to pay for the repair and still not knowing when it will be repaired I am at my wits end any suggestions please
