  1. Hi Just thought I would update, Feeling really good at the moment, just back from sons 3rd year parents evening he is doing really well his grade have gone up in Physics and Chemsitry and both teachers are really pleased with him his English teacher was off sick but have positive feedback from Maths also that's all the appointments he managed to get. I also spoke to his guidance teacher who says over all, all his teachers are pleased with his progress and that he seems to be gaining a wee bit of confidence. So feeling very good tonight, they have a points system and he has gained a few points. There is someone from the Mental Health Unit going into the school for a day to sit in some of his classes (no one else will know what he is there for) and he will write a report,we also have another appointment with Occupational Therapist beginning of Feb. During the holidays he went to see the Speech Therapist, who at the moment is holding off doing an assessment as she feels he is going through enough at this time, she feels he might not even need help but will wait for the report and see just what help they are going to give him.
  2. Hi again We had a lousy credit historyand 1 CCJ, we also had a reference from my Hubby's new employer.
  3. Hi, We don't actually rent now as got a mortgage ( yes paying high price for it but one day hope to get a normal mortgage again) we rented a small flat first for a year no problems then we moved to something a bit bigger and more suitable and again had no problems the first one was a private rent as like you we were worried we would be turned down, after that we rented a couple of places through a Solicitors/Lettings agent ( we ended up paying more renting than buying just the way the market was at the time) Hope this helps:)
  4. Hi 1st Lifeline, It is possible to rent with a bad credit history,we had to a few years back, after out home was repossessed by the Bank.
  5. Hi, I think we all feel the same at some point, well I know at times I do,But just keep going I am sure it will be worth it in the end:)
  6. Hi and welcome Have you tried going into the bank and asking for the charges to be reversed,as I have read one or two threads that this has happened. Have a read around the threads, any more questions just ask and some one will be along to help. Good Luck:)
  7. What a cheek,I too lost mine, and didn't owe anything near that amount well under £2000.00.
  8. Hi cassie, I only wish I had the answer,he makes it look so easy, well luckily none of my neighbours have complained.
  9. Hi Jailbird, she swings from your gussett when you go to the loo All I can say is thank goodness mine doesn't try that, but she does come to the toilet with me. I know they can drive us insane, but we wouldn't be without them:D
  10. Hi UK I am sure they are learnign a very hard lesson with all of this....
  11. I was once proud mum to 7 Samoyed's mrsc Wow that must of been a handful, they are lovely though. The youngest is a work in progress as at 2 years old he's mental, selectively deaf and thinks he's a guard dog ( he terrifies anyone who approaches my home and as I live on a farm in the middle of nowhere, they don't stay long when he barks). My St Bernard is also 2 years old and she makes a fantastic guard dog, once she is finished barking out the window, she then asks out to run from one side of the house to the other barking, don't think anyone in their right mind would come through the gate:eek: Mind you saying that I think all they would get is covered in drool:eek: She just loves to be petted and taken notice of.
  12. Oh Jen,I am sorry I shouldn't laugh poor thing, but it is funny. august he was 17 but old age took its toll an had to have him put to sleep Yeah I know how you feel when we adopted the Samoyeds we were told they were about 5 (Bitch) and 7 (dog) as they didn't really know that much about them,it wasn't until about approx 4 years later that my daughter and her friend took them both for a walk and lost the dog, myself and daughter spent ages trawling the streets etc looking for him but decided at about 1a.m it was no longer safe to do so. So the next day we made posters etc and put them in the local shops, then went to the local cat and dog home to find him there he had been picked up by the Police and taken to the pound. He was Micro chipped and they had contacted the previous owner, who had told them the Dog was actually 16 years old and he was shocked that he was still living. Not long after that we had to come to the horrible decision of having him put to sleep, the Vet told us that he was actually senile, as he just walked round in circles all the time then he would fall and bark until he was picked up.He was a big cuddly teddy bear and we have really fond memories of him.
  13. Hi Uk I thought I had posted a reply but it is not showing:confused: I have fallen behind a bit on this (family) but I will do fresh spreadsheets and get them posted this week,I will keep you updated on how I am doing, and with any questions I may have. Thanks for asking.
  14. I love Rottweilers,My daughters friend had two they were so well behaved but I think if you have had a bad experience with one it can stay with you,and also the dogs pick up on the fear.My Friend had a dog not sure what breed, it was huge,I was absolutely petrified of it,and I am not normally scared around dogs, the first time I met it he jumped up and put its feet on my shoulders I couldn't wait to get away, needless to say I didn't visit often.
  15. Hi Moggieb Mine is the same, noone can walk past the house, and at the moment they are building houses across the road so plenty to bark at just now,I sometimes keep the blinds shut, just for some peace, when the mail comes she has to sniff it all over then I can pick it up,if I come in with bags her head is in the bag to see what it is,she is a nightmare I hope our new neighbours are dog friendly:eek: . When visitors come she is okay if they just ignore her,but if they need to go visit the loo then she starts barking at them again,I can't let her in if my parents visit,as my Dad has just had a major operation, and my Mum is not steady on her feet at all,and she gets so excited she jumps on them,I do feel sorry for her as she loves them to bits but is just so clumsy when she gets worked up.
  16. Hi all, I know this is going to sound disgusting, but you know St Bernards drool and believe me it is like glue, well if we don't catch her (she has her own towel) and she shakes it has even been found on ceilings, light fittings and walls.
  17. Aww Bless him, I used to have a Samoyed who every now and again used to bite and scratch a bit on her side until it was baldy, she used to look a right state, but nothing would stop her doing it,and the vet couldn't find anything wrong.Mind you saying that, they (had two of them we adopted them) were really well behaved, they would stand at the livingroom door until you told them it was okay to come in. Another dog that we adopted that was also no bother was a Staffordshire Bull Terrier you just had to look at him and he went and lay down in his bed, this one just ignores me (St Bernard). I hate when someone comes to the house as we have to put her outside, and then she just annoys the neighbours with her barking.Or I have to sit with her on her lead but she still barks at them.
  18. Update, Still nothing back from them yet so have sent another letter giving them seven days to respond.
  19. Hi all, Does anyone else watch the Dog Whisperer Ceaser Millan (thinks that's how it is spelt),I would love to go and be trained by him,his dogs are great. I have been watching, and trying some of his ideas on my dog,as she is ridiculous, when I take her out if she see's someone across the road, I have to hold on to a wall, tree or lampost. She isn't allowed long walks,as she starts limping,we were told that we were exercising her too much,as she also runs around the garden, and they don't need much exercise. She also barks at anyone coming into the house,I would just like her to be better behaved.
  20. My point here is that some people in society are simply unable to be even coherent with written English as they do not have the ability to do so. A thread like this just seems to expose that fact. I have to agree with you,English is not my strong point even if I was taught it in school,I have had a lot of help on here from various members with regards to letters etc. And I am very grateful for that help. I didn't think that this problem would come up on a forum to be honest,I have seen many posts that have mistakes etc,but can normally work out what is being asked and as you say, if not sure you can always ask.
  21. I wasn't going to say anything but there was one time I took ages to type out my query, set it all out so it was understandable, and hit the post button, to my shock and horror what came up was just a jumble, that even I the poster could not understand. Not sure what went wrong I have never had the same problem again.
  22. Hi all, I have sent emails to all the links provided thanks Penfold will go and see if there is anybody else I can send it too Thank heavens for copy and paste;)
