    Asbo v Abbey

Yep, their arranging for archived records to be sent on, so should be a OK.
  2. Heres the Defence I recieved last week. Exactly the same as mine (apart from a few personal details). Nothing to worry about. Did you get an offer?
  3. Yeah, I agree. As long as the defendants have the charges document, thats all that matters. The court will tell you what to do in good time (ie. AQ etc). This is the waiting game we all have to sit through!
  4. Maybe the DCAs on holiday? LOL
  5. Ok, well just tried to google the telephone code and found this RealBusiness [net]work So if anyone knows which county owns .co.za then maybe you'll know where the call came from. Thinking about it, I probably haven't helped at all and just confused matters.
  6. It should come naturally for a mover like yourself.
  7. Just remember Lee, your there to argue which track should hear your claim, nothing else. I doubt you'll even go.
  8. Hi Matty Not at all. Just make sure you don't sign anything saying you can't. Another claimant has done the same as she has been settled before the defence on the second. Very encouraging. If you send the SAR around same time as prelim, you should have the info around same time as submitting the N1. Just add the extra charges before you file.
  9. I agree with Advoc8 You can still request the small claims track. It is the judges decision, but he may still accept it. What stage are you at?
  10. Hi Smudger You can always add a bit from the templated rejection letter to your LBA. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/25716-rejecting-offers.html Don't have to, buts its an option.
  11. A long old thread, but maybe able to answer that one. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/3598-do-you-have-charges.html?highlight=years
  12. May be worth sending the templated letter from the library just to keep them on their toes.
  13. I found 5 other CAGers attending my Allocation Hearing. Apart from one claimant against Citi-Cards, we were all settled, Barclays included.
  14. Yes you do. Some District Judges order an Allocation Hearing to decide whether the case should be heard as a fast track. I had one in November, and Lloyds TSB settled before. There is no need for preperation. This is good Lee. Barclays should throw the towel in sooner. JMHO PS. Which Court is it? There may be more claimants on CAG in the same boat.
  15. Hi Nic All my letters have gone too: 125 Colmore Row Birmingham BX3 3SF
  16. Sorry, just checked your posts. 10 days, not bad eh?
  17. Hi SpiritGirl Jolly well done on your win. I am on claim number 2 with Lloyds. Was due to file my N1 today, but they haven't replied to my prelim or LBA. I know their ignoring it as they have already issued their final response. Today I sent them another LBA for 7 days (this time recorded so I can prove they got it). Did they just pay at the end of the 28 day defence deadline?
  18. RE Martin Lewis. He captures a wide audience on BBC R2 on Fridays (although I prefer the allotment, and I'm only 25). Last friday Jeremy Vine interupted MSE and said "No more bank stuff, please". He read my mind.
  19. My first claim was for the last 4 years, as that was all I could retrieve from internet banking. I didn't think I was charged that much for the remainding 2, but I sent an SAR for them anyway. To my surprise it adds up to £492.50, so another claim is underway. Both the prelimary letter and the LBA were sent, and I am due to start litigation now. However I have not had any replies to the two letters. This is because their final response was issued previously. Now I know they've received them, but as they haven't replied, want to make sure I don't get caught out. The letters weren't recorded / special. Am thinking of sending another LBA recorded with a 7 day deadline. That way I know its been received. Have a feeling if I start now, they may say we haven't received any letters. More to the point, I can't prove they did. Any thoughts?
  20. Hi Sarah Have they stated that that was their final response, or are they investigating?
  21. James signed mine but Inga has made offers before. Still nothing to worry about. Its one less letter for you to send anyway. PS. Do you ever sleep?
  22. in relation to your phone calls, are you registered with the telephone preference service?
  23. I personally would put it back in the post box "return to sender"
  24. Well done Jellybabe, just a waiting game now. I'm glad I only have one account with Cahoot. Including Lloyds TSB & Halifax, Abbey have been far the worst. Am extremely surprised you didn't get an offer though. Who signed the defence, James or Inga?
