It turned out that BOI - mistryped my initials and was confused about my surname - omitted my street address - omitted my financial commitments attachments in the application form. This results in discrepancies, hence the CIFAS and National Hunter entries

Hello! I recently had a CIFAS Cat 4 marked against me by BOI after a failed mortgage application I have written to them and asked for the reason, how to resolve and if they require further information from me to clarify the issue. BOI had issued me a Final Response Letter without any further contact with me. When I managed to call the BOI Complaints manager, he told me that - his team deals with all mortgage complaints and pointless trying any other route as it will all be back to his team and he is the manager - he said that it is pointless writing to the BOI CEO as Desmond Crawley is not client facing and will only fwd the letter to his team. - he does not know how long the entry will be and asked me to ask CIFAS. I told him that in CIFAS website, the member who puts me in (BOI) has to remove it. He said, then it is forever. - he asked me to go straight to the Financial Ombudsman to investigate my case further. When I said in the CIFAS website, we are advised to go to CIFAS to mediate first, then he said go to CIFAS then. I would like to find out if anyone had ever dealt with the BOI in UK before? How was the experience and what was the outcome?
