  1. Hi Yep stating the company loyalty issue and performance issues they feel they should dismiss etc To be honest if the pay issue was an issue and they were going to make a point they would of just dismissed one of us. Two though comes across as an easy way to shed staff if you see what I mean. I'm pretty angry to be honest. There are no performance issues and as for pay increases and what not they themselves discussed this at the interview and since then nothing has actually been arranged confirmed denied etc
  2. Hi, Today my colleague and I were dismissed. The reasoning. Company loyalty There main reason being our pay was due to be raised a fair while ago. As a matter if course we had to keep asking for it to be resolved. We were never given a yes or no or when answer. We go in today. Called in a meeting room and dismissed due to loyalty problems and performance related issues. Due to shock I did not really go into it with a lot of questionjng Can someone tell me the lay of the law. Isn't there a procedure.. Not just management say so? They follow the ACAS rules so how is that within a mandate. They have this loyalty area in there contracts but can that legally be grounds for dismissal?
  3. Hi, I need a way to either cancel vodafone or lower the cost of the contract, since i took out the contract my circumstances have changed in terms of monies etc. I have asked nicely if i can change the tariff to be told no.. i have asked nicely if i can cancel the contract..obviously no whilst i appreciate its not actually vodafones fault in my change of circumstance i dont agree they arent able to change the tariff to an affordable one now im in debt to them of near on £150. so the question is. .i have arranged a plan for xx a month. this still is to much but they wouldnt accept less and i need my line open for work purposes! im going to have to mail them.. sadly the only way may be to cancel the entire contract but that is a lot of money! at least though the dca would happily accept hardly anything a month which i could afford. .but its a lot of hassle and all i want really is an affordable tariff and pay a little bit extra each month to cover the debt! with my line being kept open. just curious if anyone had gone down this road with them? to make it worse since xmas eve to present, we have no network in my area. .literally none aside from a couple of 5 second intervals where you may recieve a text message! this is now up now and thats pretty dissapointing
  4. Hi a friend of mine, had an iva which was completed last month, she has since claimed for ppi charges totalling up to 2800.intially there was no issue, now shes been told, that basically halifax are keeping it as they had to write off debt. i only ask as if it was me i would be gutted, shes going to citizens advice bureau soon to see what she can do, if anything. i understand in a way the banks perspective, but surely if the iva was completed and paid etc, they cant refuse the request, the agreed to the terms beforehand. Thats like saying, any money she has they can take purely because she 'had' an iva. i do know where the banks coming from but still i claim ignorance here as im not totally sure how they work after its completed, interested if anyone has an idea?
  5. charges on barclaycard. no ppi, capital one was both
  6. Hi just curious,i won my claim start of the year with barclaycard, got 654 cleared my balance and got extra. One thing though, they close the account after this, same with capital one. is it standard practice for the credit card accounts to close after you claim the charges back? im not overly concerned but just curious as ive not seen it anywhere on the forums that they closed the persons account. Thanks
