  1. Sorry, it is more aimed at the Work Programme staff than the Jobcentre as in my experience some Jobcentre staff are ok.
  2. Believe me, I'd much rather be in an office job even on £6.50 an hour than dealing with the buffoons at the Job Centre or especially the Work Programme provider, they treat you like your thick as s*** and advise you or tell you how to apply for jobs and make you go to job clubs for the same thing that I would be doing at home. I'm not thick, I've got 8 GCSE's B-E, including a C in Maths and English and I have been to college this year and got new qualifications in ECDL and Administration, but these people act as if you've got no qualifications or anything, they treat you like crap on the bottom of their shoe.
  3. When I submitted my appeal on 25th July, I did inform the Jobcentre on that appeal that I had put in a formal complaint to the Work Programme provider.
  4. I don't know which one is more useless, the Job Centre or the Work Programme provider.
  5. Can you sue the Work Programme Provider? I've hit a bit of a dead end, I'm not satisfied with the response from the Work Programme provider and until that sanction is withdrawn I won't stop fighting. Also, is there anyone you can complain to if your not happy with the response to the complaint by the Work Programme provider?
  6. I have emailed the Chief Executive Charles Dunston, he replied almost immediately saying someone is looking into it.
  7. I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S3 from Carphone Warehouse on the phone on Monday 6th August 2012, I received it on Tuesday 7th August 2012, however I found that I just couldn't get on with this phone so I popped into my local Carphone Warehouse store on Saturday asking if I could exchange, I was told I had 14 days to exchange so I said I will bring it in and do an exchange. Yesterday, I went into the store with the phone and I was in there for quite some time and in the end they said they couldn't exchange it, they said they would have to cancel the whole thing and order a new contract with a new credit check which I did not want but also they didn't provide me with the service that the store manager said he would. Where do I stand? Thanks.
  8. Let the Government carry on, In my opinion there will be riots left, right and centre soon the way things are going!! much worse than those last year.
  9. Well my sanction has finished, it was 25th July- 7th August but I will only get £72 at the most this week, money won't be back to normal for another couple of weeks, but last time they took 6-8 weeks to raise the doubt so no doubt in 4-8 weeks time they will try and sanction me again.
  10. And It wouldn't surprise me if they sanction me again for the appointment I missed 2 weeks ago due to illness, despite telling them the day before and on the day of the appointment a few hours before that I was too ill to attend, if that happens, I'm going drag them through the mud.
  11. Got a response from the work programme provider today regarding my complaint:- "I am writing in response to your email of 25th July 2012 regarding your JSA sanction, I have investigated the points you have raised thoroughly and I am now able to confirm my findings. We contacted you by phone on 16th April 2012 and advised you of a mandatory appointment to attend your Work Programme induction on 9th May 2012 at 10am. This appointment was also confirmed to you in a letter sent to you on 16th April 2012 to the above address. As part of the Work Programme our company is contractually obligated to notify Job Centre Plus if any client fails to participate in a mandated activity. We have to raise this with Job Centre Plus irrespective of whether or not an explanation is offered following your non attendance. Job Centre Plus then makes a decision regarding your benefit entitlement considering all evidence provided. I am sorry to hear that you did not receive the letter sent to you confirming your appointment and that as a result you did not attend your mandated activity. Job Centre Plus will consider the reasons given for non participation and make the decision regarding benefit entitlement". What a load of crap, No comment about the fact that I was given a date over the phone that was different to so said sent letter, I'm not satisfied with this response at all, I want to take this further so how do I go about it, If I can sue them I certainly will.
  12. Making people work for £3 a day now that is the biggest joke ever but then again in my opinion the Government are the biggest bunch of jokers I've ever seen! Slave labour at it's best!
  13. The fact is though i have attended all appointments bar one last week but that was only due to illness. The appointment i was sanctioned for (my first appointment with them) was their error and i expect it to be rectified. Also i think the Work Programme provider will be very wary from now on as in my opinion they probably think they can walk over everyone and not many people stand up to them but i am and i always will, I'll be watching them like a hawk from now on to prevent anymore sanctions.
  14. Still think I got them on the run, the MP has dealt with this very quickly and I'm going to put the Work Programme provider under a lot of pressure, I would even consider suing them should it not be reversed, I'm that determined to do whatever it takes because quite frankly getting a 2 week sanction for an error THEY made is ridiculous.
  15. Well in my recent experience and this comes from an MP, I was only sanctioned because my Work Programme provider told the DWP to place me under sanction, something I am fighting against with the help of my local MP and due to a missed appointment that was the providers error, I hope others don't get sanctioned for petty things like this but I can imagine they do, any excuse not to pay you.
  16. Work Programme providers are a joke, mine is too but it's not A4E, however now I only communicate with them via email and I am considering recording my appointments on my phone to prevent any future problems. Hope you get it sorted, I'm in the process of battling my sanction and have MP's fighting with me.
  17. Just an update on this, I received an email today from the guy who is acting on behalf of the MP who is assisting me:- "I have contacted the DWP (Job Centre Plus) at a senior level. They confirm that they sanctioned your JSA only because they were asked to do so by your Work Programme provider. The DWP are unable to reverse that sanction unless they are asked to do so by the Work Programme provider. I note in your original email that you have already submitted a complaint to the Work Programme provider and that this is being handled by the management there. DWP’s suggestion is that you should chase this up with the provider and ask specifically that they instruct DWP to reverse the sanction. Once DWP receive that request from the provider, they can withdraw the sanction accordingly. I would suggest you mention to the Work Programme provider that you have contacted your Member of Parliament about this". This is very interesting, I thought only the DWP could sanction you? Anyway I have demanded that the Work Programme provider immediate reverses my sanction because I am going to take this to the very top otherwise.
  18. This is interesting, I have had several bank charges since I went on Jobseeker's Allowance in April 2011, how far back can you claim?

  20. Thank you for that info so they won't sanction me then? I've never filled out a JSA28 before. I would have attended the appointment tomorrow but it's a 2 hour interview skills interview where you have to pretend it's a real interview and it involves a lot of talking, I don't have the energy and I have a sore throat and croaky voice so can't talk for that amount of time. Regarding the appeal, I didn't think it was that long? I hope that now I have my local MP involved on that case that it might speed things up.
  21. It looks like i've got to miss my first ever Work Programme appointment tomorrow, well 2nd but the last time was their fault as you know hence my appeal but I have been feeling very unwell since yesterday and went to the walk in centre yesterday and was told my body is fighting something and today I have a temperature and feel weak. I have emailed my advisor and also emailed another person at the Work Programme company, can they report me to the jobcentre for non-attendance if I have let them know and as I am unwell? I'd be shocked if they could but nothing would surprise me. Regarding the original issue, I have got my local MP on my side to help fight for me, I submitted the appeal last Wednesday but haven't heard anything yet, anyone know how long an appeal can take? I know a Tribunal can take 6 months but not sure on the appeal situation. Thanks.
  22. I am still fuming about it, I think it's an absolute disgrace that a Work Programme provider arranges my first appointment with them over the phone, I agree to the date and time etc, they then say they will send a confirmation letter in the post (which I never received) and then the day before the date I was given on the phone I rang to check that it was still on for the next day only for them to say infact it was today and you missed your appointment, that's down to the Work Programme providers not me and I get sanctioned for 2 weeks because of it! Any excuse not to pay you, I'm concerned how I am going to manage for the next few weeks with bills to pay and other outgoings, I also think it's a disgrace that seemingly you cannot apply for a Crisis Loan when your sanctioned. I just hope the appeal doesn't take too long, I'm not that confident about getting it overturned but it should be overturned, hopefully the fact that I have informed them that I have contacted my local MP and made an official complaint to the Work Programme provider might help me to overturn it, I really hope. I will always go to war with the DWP if necessary, I won't roll over like some people would and not appeal and accept it, especially when I am not in the wrong.
  23. Thank you but could I possibly get a crisis loan or 2 crisis loan to maybe make up for the lack of money that I have lost?
