Have had a threat o gram related to this. It turns out that their acting on behalf of sigma Red who are their client not Swalec. Apparently Sigma act on behalf of swalec. They also mention that some company called Scot Call may pop round to visit me to discuss this matter -

As i understand things about 5 years ago i run up a bill on my electric account. A prepayment meter was installed at lets call it property A was paying the debt of at a rate of 7 pounds per week after about 18 months of this i moved to property B. I notified the supplier that i was moving there was already a prepayment meter at the new address. they said that i would continue to repay the debt at the new address. I asked at this point how much longer it would take to repay the debt this was in december 2011 january 2012 they said at the current rate approximately 12 months. I moved to property C my current abode January 2013. I have no account with the company concerned at this address. As far as I'm concerned any debt should of been repayed by this stage. I asked them to provide a break down of payments where this money comes from etc i never received anything like it just hassle phone calls then they stopped calling. I'm assuming that they have sold the debt to this third party who despite being a solicitors appears to be debt collection agency -

ust Had a letter today from HL Solicitors. It states that 'Papers have been passed to us today via our Clien(SWALEC)t in respect of the above debt with instructions to review the case for court proceedings for recovery. We Must advise you that unless full payment of the above sume is received by the 28/01/14 such action may commence in the appropriate court for the recovery of Alleged Debt which has now jumped to £435.64 Court Fees 35.00 Solicitors Costs 50.00 Statutory interest 2.86 Debt may include a late payment FEE Total £523.50 Anyone got any advise on this or suggest a form of letter to send -

The car is worth a couple of hundred quid tops no HP but i need it for transporting my son and for getting to work. I only discovered the clamp tonight at 6pm so too late to contact them. I spoke too the baliff company they gave me a pcn number from looking at this i submitted an out of time statement in January. I believe payed it then. I moved two doors up in January.

They never seam to go away i thought i had payed all outstanding fines went out to go to work and their is a clamp on my car i'm sure its for a PCN that i have already payed.

The company concerned is SWALEC. If I owe it then I will pay it. However no account details or breakdown of charges incorrect name on the debt -

Hi guys i wanted a bit of advice. At a previous address i was paying arrears from an old address via an electric prepayment meter. I moved out of the property in december 12. I've had a bill for 300 odd quid addressed to my new address. Now at my new address have a totally different energy supplier so no ongoing realtinship with the company i owed that debt too. This letter that they have sent me has got no account numbers relationg to the debt on it they also have my name spelt incorrectly and no first name at all. Is the onus on them to prove that this debt is mine am i liable if they have my name totally incorrect where do i stand on this legally.

iVe called TEC it looks like they have not dealt with the witness statement the guy on the phone said he could find it on their system what do i do? I've got the acknowledgement from Tec so if was definitely sent.

I went down this morning to find my car clamped by excel enforment. I asked to see a copy of the warrant they didnt have it. I told them that an out of time witness statement was submitted on the first of January. That i had written conformation of this that all collections had to cease pending the outcome from the TEC. He said Cardiff council had told them to commence collection on this. TEC have not made a decision on this i know this for a fact. I ended up paying them 400 to get them to release my cari.e my rent money as i need it for work. What action can i take against the baliffs tom to get my money back

I need the advice of tomtubby if they are around. Tom you helped me complete TEC forms for Northampton a little while back. Northampton timed them out which is a result. Now cardiff council have reissued the notice to owner but it looks like at inflated amounts. Rather than what the original fixed penalty would have been its £50 £75 and £75. Can they do this? Also as im on a low income can i ring them and ask for time to pay rather than the 28 day demand

I dont know if this is relevant but i payed two old parking tickets to Excel back in march so they would have had my new address. Im resigned to the fact that im going to have to pay these tickets however i dont want to lose my car and cant magic 900 out of thin air. Im aware that ive been a very silly boy in al of this

Cars probably only worth a couple of hundred at best I moved in December of last year ive checked and it would appear that i forgot to update with DVLA. There is no finance on the car its 9 years old however its vital in trying to get back into work and getting my son to school as i live in a semi rural area. Would there be any benifit at this stage in completing a change of ownership details and putting it in someone else name
