  1. If they finish at 2200 on the Wednesday then start at 0600 on the Thursday this is an eight hour rest break between shifts which is below the minimum eleven hours.
  2. Why do you want them to remove the default anyway - if this debt is such a problem, why get more? I think you need to chill out a bit.
  3. What sometimes happens is when you put your new address on your file, it gets linked to your old one, meaning creditors can find you when they couldn't before.
  4. Well don't take it out on the low down employee on the phone then, your beef is with the company.
  5. Please don't use a whistle or anything like that. It's one thing to be nasty on the phone or just hang up but to risk damaging a person's hearing is sick, call centre workers get all sorts of warnings about noise levels and hearing. Would you punch a doorstep recovery person in the face? Didn't think so.
  6. The original DCA might have purchased the debt, then passed it on to another agency (confusing). Or the other one might be an internal recovery department for the original creditor (think Metropolitan vs. HSBC) (also confusing).
  7. Yeah....but now the lender has provided the agreement the debtor will need to arrange repayments, they can only pay what they've got though. OP should send an offer in writing. I don't know if it would be wise to wait any more, now they've got the agreement they might be taken to court with it.
  8. That's fine maybe I do like to tell it as it is sorry if it seems harsh.
  9. DonkeyB, grow up. Going on every post I've made and spamming 'troll' isn't going to help the OP. They will need to come to some form of arrangement to pay off the debt at a rate they can afford.
  10. No it's just the smell of an opinion that you don't agree with.
  11. You should have read up first - the debt is NOT written off, and if in the future they come with the valid credit agreement it will become enforceable again, unless six years pass. Played with fire, got burned.
  12. Two ways to stop them ringing work, pay the debt or ask them not to do it which they will have to do. Don't bother wasting a stamp on this.
  13. THEIR arrogance? Come on, they have proved the debt which you invted them to do so now you will have to pay it.
  14. Credit referencing agencies are often used because they are reliable. If you refuse to give your previous address when applying for credit it might look a bit suspicious/fraudulent. If you want to run away from debts you would have to NEVER apply for credit for a few years, or give fraudulant information. But of course, these people can't resist getting a new phone contract...then the old debts resurface.
  15. Well done on wanting to clear your debts. Wouldn't think anyone would lend to you for no charge even without the defaults. Just keep paying what you can afford. I know you are supposed to treat your creditors fairly, but maybe you should pay the higher APR ones first as once those are out of the way you will be paying less interest and have more to pay on the easier ones.
  16. But what about the people who use them responsibly? Not saying you didn't but they do fill a gap in the market for quick cash albeit at a high rate. Put it this way - should they ban knives because some people use them for killing rather than cooking?
  17. You've still used it, so you will need to come to some arrangement with the company to pay it off at a rate you can afford.
  18. Do you think if debts never got collected...we would ever get to the point where EVERYTHING was paid in advance? I mean, would that be a good thing or not? I've been pondering this thought - maybe I'm just being weird!
