  1. Hi, No, they haven't been to your door. I have had a never ending stream of these soddin' things since my ex went (all for him I might add!) and not one of them has been hand delivered. There are some even better ones for you to watch out for that do, initially, look even more misleading than the one you received, but when you actually break down the information on them then you realise that they have actually been posted and not hand delivered. One put through my letterbox by the postman actually said that someone had called but couldn't get anyone in. If they meant called as in 'at your front door' then the date they gave was one when I was at home all day, so they lied. If they meant called as in 'on the phone' then the date they gave meant that I was at home all day. They lied. See a pattern here? And anyway, if they had called at the door then why bother to send a card through the post to tell me so. Surely they would have just posted it through the letter box there and then? Soooo, no need to worry that anyone has been to your door. In the time my ex has been gone, and even with the amount of things being sent from debt collectors to try and mislead me, only one person has ever called and he was soon sent away with a flea in his ear . Hope that's of some help for you.
  2. Hi Game. All priority debts covered! It's just the losing the little bit of the left over that I could be done for using on better (and more necessary) things. Still haven't heard back from them, don't know if that's good or not because I usually have a letter within a couple of days. I suppose if they are choosing to play silly beggars for some reason then that is their problem as I have at least made them a reasonable offer. Well, I think it's reasonable! Am now off to have 3 nights away, courtesy of my mum and dad. Nowt grand, but hell after 7 years with no holiday I am taking it gratefully . If a letter arrives in the next couple of days I really , really, really don't give a monkeys .
  3. Afternoon Gyzmo. Don't know whether to laugh or cry for you! Why is it that some days/months/years just seem to go like that, while others around you seem to cruise by without so much as a care in the flamin' world and all the good things land in their lap. I do know how you feel though. A couple of years of having nothing but dirt shovelled at me has made me very paranoid . People keep telling me that soon I will 'turn that corner' and all will be well again. Must be one hell of a long corner, that's all I can say lol. Think I'll go and buy a lottery ticket. Well, you never know...
