  1. But having to size up the size of the text in an HTML web page and then add that to the size of all the images for each and every web page you visit and then have to write it down could get a little tiresome. You could get this: DU Meter Home Page instead ;-)
  2. Disneyland Paris in the snow? How fantastic!

  4. Does anyone use, or know any more about this: About cashplus prepaid credit cards | cashplus I'm considering getting one as I need somewhere to pay my wages into, sadly, they will not give me them in cash.
  5. I too have a TV set that is used just for an XBox (admittedly it is a 'hacked' xbox), and I have since been informed by the TVLA over the phone that I do not need a licence - in fact I actually received a refund from them. However, I am still bombarded with phone calls and very threatening letters, but I just ignore them. As yet, I have not had the TVLA at my door, but I don't see why I should allow a stranger into my house and then demonstrate that a piece of my private property is not being used for something they accuse that it is. I don't bang on their door or write letters to them asking to see their gun licence or failing that demand entry to their private property to see if they are lying.
  6. Ha - fraid not! It's looking like the 21st now, so I have a little leway!
  7. methinks some people are a little miffed at having been caught out ;-)
  8. Because it's before midday, and it's a joke. I'm not the British government - where the minority bleat on about something and then the majority have something imposed upon them because it it.
  9. Seriously, I don't know why you are laughing?? ;-)
  10. Eh? What do you mean? I'm currently eating caviar for breakfast and connecting from my laptop wirelessly whilst telling my captain to raise the anchor on my yacht.
  11. They really do not do themselves any favours do they? They wonder why there is no respect for law and order in the UK any more and they continue to act like spoilt children. If the speed camera was big and visible, only a fool would speed past it - and thus, job done - people slowing down (which has actually INCREASED accidents on our roads, but that is for another thread and another time). Hiding it shows one thing: it's there as an extension of the inland revenue. You'd think with coppers being stuffed over by this govt. when it lied about the pay rises they were going to get, that they would be on our side as well. Of course, they are not - and any respect that they might have earned goes straight out of the window with stunts like this.
  12. Sadly no cinema listed is withing 100 miles of me Thanks anyway though.
  13. Ahh yes. ;-) Every year, the firm I was working for at the time would take all the employees away at Christmas as a 'present' - with free beer and food for the whole 3 days. Went to S.France one year, S. Spain, Boston, and EuroDisney twice. They would put shows on too - Victoria Wood, Fat Boy Slim and things like that. I can't really remember most of the trips, but I have photo's so I assume they really did take place!!!
  14. It is fantastic, been twice now - mind you, we did have exclusive use of the park for 2 of the 3 days we were there (both times)....oh, and free beer...and all the restaraunts were free too! ...but even on the Sunday when we had to queue up it was still excellent.
  15. Are you still having trouble getting in?
  16. So presumably their breach of the DPA will be taken into account as well then? 6 years is the minimum, in the insurance industry it's 7 years. Oh dear, how have we allowed the banks to get into this position -where their incompetence can dictate the timescale of a ruling on the judiciary. Unbelievable! What's worse is that they probably believe that this is a decent excuse. ...still, it's a good sign; in a way. It looks like they expect to lose, but there are deals going on that mean that they will only lose a certain amount due to their incompetence.
  17. Just bumping it up, in case people missed it.
  18. by far the most bizarre so far! It don't 'arf 'urt when you land though, I can tell ya!
  19. I also invented the MIDI standard. I'm like that you see.
  20. ..."Should 5% appear too small..." 5%!!!! I wish!
  21. ...well, a bit of moonlighting never went amiss!
  22. I've already had man flu this year - not fun at all!
  23. Yep, I have a bloody sore throat too that's crawled round to my ear. I'm not much fun at the moment either.
