  1. I have been using jump for couple of months and have been sending dwp numerous emails to tell them about bugs etc ( have a computer degree) any how's, yesterday I was logged into jobmatch and used their "contact" function to email them about a technical issue I was having - thing is they emailed their reply to my son's email address. Have no idea how this happened as jobmatch only has my email address and I was logged In, must be something to do with the cookies - but see a major breach of confidentiality here!!
  2. its one thing to register with universal jobmatch - its quite another to be MADE to upload CV, whereby anyone who has your email address can read all about you! I though a CV was a personal thing and would not like to think every tom, dick and harry pouring over it!
  3. So is it mandatory to upload cv and could someone direct me to appropriate source please as I wish to print off and send to jcp advisor.
  4. I am just back from job centre and was told it is mandatory from the 2nd marxh and it is also madatory to load cv onto system. I told her the system is not secure and she said it was and I must do it and if I haven't done it by the 2nd she will sanction me. She also said that I should not save searches ( even tho I was told that I had to by another advisor) I was also told that I have not to put "searched job centre vacancies" in the "activities" section as this is only for things done outwith job match. Asked how she would know if I had done any searches, she said she would know because I would have applied for them! Told her to put in my job titles and search for jobs - none came up - so how then can I prove that I have done job searches? The whole thing is a bloody mess and I am sick off being told inaccurate information, I am a it graduate and still don't understand the system!

just to see if anyone can shed some light on this? I moved (following my complaint) to a new Ingeus office which is an extra 5 miles away from my old ingeus office. I was talking to a DWP advisor (one who decides on sanctions) and he told me that because my complaint against old advisor was upheld and that I had to move to another office further away I should be getting money for that! anyone know what he's talking about?

Bloody 'ell - just got a call from a 'friend' at JCP to inform me of yet another doubt made against me by my last advisor! if you have been reading my posts you will know that I had a complaint against an advisor upheld and was transferred to another branch of Ingeus - all good and well, put it behind me and moved on - got a letter in from JCP today saying they are stopping my money for two weeks due to last advisor saying that I would not participate in her work programme!!! I left this advisor on the 15 Sept, went through their complaints procedure and my complaint was upheld, met with the regional manager a couple of weeks ago who advised that said advisor was no longer 'doing that job' and offered me a place within another branch. Now little advisor raised a doubt beginning of this month!!! the little [edit] is no longer an advisor and I am no longer with the farce of a branch! This is further evidence of her malicious intent towards me!!! Worth making another complaint? God knows what she is going to do next! Needless to say JCP is taking my side in all of this and have overturned their decision and no sanctions will apply - but I am getting sick of this!!!!!!!!!!

quick update - met with regional manager this morning, was asked to move to new location, which I agreed to. met my new advisor, he talked about himself i.e. how much he wanted to be a fashion designer and his entire career to date - worked at top shop!! asked how much i wanted in expenses said - £5 petrol and £150 for listening to your waffle!!! bloody hell - from the frying pan into the fire!

Well got a bloody shock today - received a phone call from Ingues - regional manager regarding my complaint - she wants to meet up to discuss it!! wasn't expecting that, but I agreed and meeting her next week - any advice?

just got a reply from my formal complaint today from Ingeus - not unduly surprised that the manager has taken the side of the advisor but once again I was threatened with sanctions (in the complaint letter) that if I do not do as they say again I will be sanctioned! its a bloody joke! Caught her out on a couple of issues tho so next stop - CEO!

They can make all the threats they want with sanctions but at the end of the day your contract is with the JCP not with Ingeus. Therefore any sanctions can be easily quashed by referring to your JCP contact. If Ingeus think they own us then they are sadly mistaken!

Ok - just back from JCP to sign on and spoke with an advisor there about Ingeus. Another advisor was called into the discussion as I explained the 'victimisation' I am receiving from Ingeus. Apart from being shocked they agreed their conduct is appalling and that:- 1) The job seeker agreement is the only contract that I have and this has to be adhered to by Ingeus - they cannot deviate from my job seeker agreement. 2) Ingeus has to work with me in a 'supportive' role and cannot and should not raise bogus 'mandates' 3) Ingeus cannot request that I give names of contacts that I have for jobs applied and then use that data for contact those parties. 4) Expenses must be paid and must be without loss to client, these expenses cannot be decided by an individual advisor 'willy nilly' and must adhere to Ingeus standard Reimbursement Policy. JCP does not have a 'relationship manager' with Ingeus (which I think is a big mistake) but however advised me to meet with the manager of Ingeus and my MP. I plan to do this and will not being going back to Ingeus until I have assurances that the victimisation stops!

i would simply tell them that you have changed your email address/phone number etc and give them dud ones. and i would keep changing them until they don't know their arse from their elbow

I agree - the jobs I am applying for are mainly through recruitment agencies - there is a strict policy with them not to divulge information. I also want to increase my chances of getting the job by having as less competition as possible. I have no objection to showing this information to JCP as I know they would not phone and have no financial incentive to work with potential employers (as it is not in their remit to do so). However, I think it outrageous that a private company is relying on its clients to further its own agenda. It makes me wonder if there is another branch to Ingeus that acts as some sort of recruitment consultant and gets paid if they find a candidate.

One last thing - Advisor was not happy with my 'job search activity' report and wanted the actual names of the people I was sending my CV to rather than just the company name. I refused to do this as I could not see how it made any difference to the actual job applications that I make. I asked her if it was because she wanted to phone them to check that I had actually applied or did she want to call them to see what the job was so she could put others forward for it - she said she had a team member who worked with employers to get unadvertised jobs and pass them onto others!!!! - Surely this is a conflict of interest?

Are you sure about that - I remember putting in a complaint about The Weir Group and there was an account manager at JCP responsible for the contract with the provider.

Another complaint is the matter of taking my son to these sessions with Ingeus - he is disabled (problems with his legs) and Ingeus has 30 stairs up to their office- these stairs are steep and even I have trouble managing going down them. During the summer I had to take him with me and he slipped coming down the stairs - luckily he did not injure himself but it got me questioning if he did have a fall and hurt himself would I be able to claim - are Ingeus insured for this sort of thing? They know he is disabled and they know I am a single parent with no childcare!

Ok - just got in from another meeting with these idiots! been with them for 7 months now and not had a sign of any help from them - their only expertise it would see it to try and keep sanctioning me! they have not been successful do far! having read all the comments on this site I went in armed today and took no prisoners! AD - I have to make an action plan with you which you are mandated to adhere to ME - No I am not AD - We work for the DWP and have been contracted to part of our contract is to give you an Action Plan ME- I have a plan - its called a job seekers agreement, you are merely duplicating effort AD- Our plan will be different from the job seekers agreement ME - So you are saying that you will be overriding a legal contract that I have with JCP AD - No - what you have with JCP is in order to get your benefits, this plan is to get you a job! ME - And what will that plan consist of? AD - I request that you 'cold call' potential employers as our research suggests that 80% of jobs are not advertised. ME - I doubt that figure and I do not have the money for phone calls to potential employers AD - we can make the calls for you if you fell you are unable to do it ME- I am perfectly able to do it as i do have a tongue in my mouth and have not given you permission to use my personal data and share that data with 3rd parties. all I am saying is that I am not prepared to run up a phone bill that I cannot afford to pay. AD - Then you are refusing to comply with the work programme ME - if it means running up a phone bill then yes, I will not comply with your request AD - so be it, I will make another appointment with you and I am informing the DWP right now that you will not comply She then get the 'Failure to comply" form up on the screen and fills it out in front of me. She lies through her teeth on it saying that I am refusing to comply with the work programme as I 1) will not allow her to send my CV to prospective clients as I refused to give her permission to do so and 2) I would not accept any help from her to seek possible employment 'on spec' I pointed out the flaws/lies that she had on the form and insisted that she change it - she at this point is furious. She changes the form to reflect what I actually said and told me to take it up with the JCP. I was then asked to leave with 40p short of my expenses! While waiting for my expenses I saw the advisor bringing up the 'failure to comply' form again - I presume to change it in order to get me sanctioned!! I am baffled by the Work Programme - there are two companies i.e. JCP and Ingeus who are telling me different things about looking for work. i.e. my JSA says that I have to 1) write to at least 1 employer a week - I do this 2) phone at least 0 employers a week - I do this 3) visit at least 0 employers a week - I do this Therefore how then can Ingeus state that I am not complying? I cannot see anywhere where they have the right to over rule a legal contract that I have with JCP. I have decided to put in a 'formal' complaint against the advisor and to ask for another I will put in a complaint about her and Ingeus to JCP I will ask for a copy of all data held by them so I can see if the little [edit] has changed the form Can anyone think of anything else I can do?
  19. I did not receive my JSA this morning and when I called to find our why they said it was because the tax credits people where updating my account and this has led to the payment going in late! Anyone know why child tax credits have anything to do with JSA? I now have to wait until thursday to receive benefit

Yes - and that she is disabled! Ingeus are also aware of this and have even met her as I had to bring her along to a meeting with them once!

Just found this forum - Brilliant! I was flung over to ingeus in Feb - had a 'little girl' interview me and was asked if I thought not having a GSE in Maths and English was a barrier to me finding work? told her I had a computer science degree and 20 years experience in Project management, fund management contract ,management etc - and that she obviously failed her GSE or she could have devised from my CV that I had more qualifications and experience than she will ever have in her life-time! Got another appointment two weeks later but on route to Ingeus got a text from head office saying not to bother going in as said advisor has left company 'abruptly'! - did not hear from them for another 4 months and when I did go in after that time I was told I had missed two appointments - I asked to see the letters and she could not print them off for me! she also said that since I have been on the program for so long without getting a job I now need to go on the 'intensive' program, which means I need to see an advisor every week. I argued that as I had not been seen for four months that it was their fault!! not mine and that I will not be in there every week. Nest appointment I had, I phoned in sick as I had a stomach bug - second appointment I called in the week before and told then I was attending local college open day as I was considering full-time education-they said that was fine and another appointment would be made - next appointment was for 3.30pm and I called them when I got the letter and told them that I would not be able to attend as I have a child to pick up from school - and that they know not to give me appointments which co-insides with school runs! I now have a letter from JCP to say they are going to sanction me for 3 missed appointments!!! Can't wait for the DWP to contact me with their "survey" in relation to Ingeus - I'll be on that phone for hours!!
  22. I received a community care grant this week of £1700 which pays for everything I need but still can't move in due to the repairs the council need to carry out - but still have to pay rent even when on JSA (rent is £56pw) I simply can't afford it when I am not even able to move into house. With regards to decorating grant, yes I received this - a whole £20!!
  23. hope someone can help with this problem. I am on JSA and have a child on DLA. I got offered and accepted a council house (was on the waiting list for 14mths and desperate). The last tenant left the house in a squalid condition - if fact its disgusting. The grim is unbelievable, there are holes/cracks in the walls and ceilings. But the main problem is/was that I did not have any money to buy furniture/paints/carpets etc (bare walls and floors). I applied for a community care grant but the social fund advised that they had a six week backlog! this meant that I could not move into the house. I council were informed by JCP that I had not moved into the house and they stopped my HB. I called the council and advised them of the situation - they said they would only accept a delay into the house under certain circumstances i.e. the over 60s, those on DLA, child on DLA. I pointed out that I did have a child on DLA and they asked me to put everything in writing to them, which I did. Got a letter today from the council saying I owed them £111 arrears and they are sending a housing officer round to discuss the matter with me. I also had a maintenance inspection this morning from the council who said my house was in such a mess that work would need to be done in it i.e. plastering/new front door/skirting. I told the officer that I need to move into the house ASAP and he advised that I didn't until the work was done as the plastering will be a 'messy business'. So now my house move has been delayed further and I am worried that I will need to find the rent for this as they are not giving me HB.
  24. Hi - hope someone can help. I was on IS last year and while on IS I got a p/t job working 4 hours a week, I spoke with JCP about this and was advised that I could take the job without it affecting my IS. However this week I got a visit from a compliance officer saying that they were quering my IS payments (no longer on IS). they said they had data from the inland revenue that I was working while claiming IS - I said that I was and that JCP knew all about it and that I worked a couple of hours a week for a couple of months (4mths) but my employer and I fell out as she did not pay me (she eventually paid me a one off payment of £194 at the end of my employment and I had to threaten her with court action to get it). The complience officer said she would submit my statement and might not hear from them again - however she rang me three days later to say that they had been in touch with my previous employer and they claimed I worked between 6-10 hours and was paid on the 1st of every month!! - ALL LIES!!! She said she had verification of these payments - I told her the employer is lying and if she had verification then they should proceed further with the case and take appropriate action. She said, no, they could not take action against me until I provide them with my bank statements for this period showing that I did not receive payment! I know for sure there is no money in the account and have nothing to hide but the account in question was closed by the bank over a year ago (banks decision as I fell behind with OD) and am now being quoted £15 per statement (can't afford this). My question is this - do I really have to pay out to get these statements and what would compliance do if I didn't? can't the compliance team request these statements and foot the bill? Does the burden of proof fall to me? The compliance officer also said that if the bank statements show that I only got a lump sum at the end of employment then I would only have to pay back that month's IS...however I do not see why I should as I was told by JCP that I was allowed to keep £20pw and the amount I received was less that £20pw so why do I have to pay back anything?

    Bank Charges

Barclays and I have had numerous conversations about my financial hardship - I have written to them on four different occasions and through the FOS submitted a case for Financial Hardship, once awarded the £60 I wrote again to protest and restate my case. I got a letter from Barclays saying that I have exhausted their compaints procedure and the matter as far as they are concerned in complete. With regards to other financial commitments - at the moment my son and I are homeless and therefore have no utility bills etc - I do have other debt but cannot meet payments - that's a seperate issue and one I will tackle when I am housed!
