  2. " The Department for Work and Pensions has admitted using made-up stories from fictional claimants to demonstrate the positive impact of benefit sanctions. A DWP leaflet featured one welfare claimant, "Sarah", who said she was "really pleased" a cut to her benefits had encouraged her to improve her CV. " But after a Freedom of Information request by website Welfare Weekly, the DWP said they were not real claimants. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-33974674
  3. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-31464897 I like most always knew that the man was a fool but this as well as showing everyone just how much of an idiot he is, this is asking for trouble, as forcing anyone to have treatment would surely infringe their human rights, as would be denying them benefits on those grounds, not to mention he has clearly forgotten that our broken NHS cannot cope as things are now without adding more pressure, He and his cronies really have no clue, They have obviously lost some of the grey matter they where born with ,(assuming that they had sufficient to begin life with)
  4. Saw this on the Mirror website http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/iain-duncan-smith-hauled-out-3848022 Took them long enough. Do you think he'll cry?
  5. Iain Duncan Smith's latest effort to prevent the publication of documents warning of the dangers of universal credit has been dismissed by a judge. http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2014/06/26/ids-loses-legal-appeal-to-keep-universal-credit-problems-sec
  6. Hi everyone A few days ago a message has come up on Jobcentre plus stating that Universal Jobmatch is coming on the 19th of November, but what is this about? does it mean that if you apply for the job does Jobcentre get notify of it? Just a bit confused over this and what does it involve.
  7. Read on http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/10747122/Benefit-cheats-face-higher-fines-and-losing-their-homes.html And what about all those firms like google, multi-millionaires and so on, who love to avoid paying there fare share of Tax in the UK http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/poll/2012/apr/10/george-osborne-shock-multi-millionaires http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-17661011 Personal I think it's a lot more than 34 billion lost through non-payment of tax and tax avoidance schemes http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2013/oct/11/uk-tax-gap-rises-hmrc-avoidance-nonpayment http://www.politics.co.uk/news/2013/12/19/let-off-the-hook-corporations-allowed-to-avoid-billions-in-t Come on IDS and George Osborne go after them as well !
  8. Everything I Know About Poverty Publication Date: 10 Jan 2014 Over 90 blank pages of IDS's wisdom on the subject of poverty. Individual empty chapters have amusing headings, such as "Making £53 per week work" and "Food banks explained". The pages are neatly lined for use as a notebook. This book proves that there is absolutely nothing in the mind of Iain Duncan Smith, that can be disputed, where poverty is concerned. Nothing at all. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Everything-I-Know-About-Poverty/dp/1494970775/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1394989804&sr=1-2&keywords=iain+duncan+smith
  9. Iain Duncan Smith’s plans to force claimants to spend hours a week endlessly searching for jobs on the Universal Jobmatch website* could become a laughing stock after the launch this week of an app which will carry out jobsearch automatically. According to their website, Universal Automation is a “browser extension which will automatically search for jobs on Universal Jobmatch and apply for them. It is the robot that will perform useless job search activities instead of you at a click of a button.” I would love to be a fly on the wall when IDS realises.
  10. The only words I have right now on this are unrepeatable. http://www.theguardian.com/society/2013/sep/30/iain-duncan-smith-sick-disabled-benefits
  11. no one believes a word he says because he can't help but mislead is there anything this man hasn't been truthful about?! he can rant and and rave all he likes but at the end of the day no one is having any of it..he's just one big fake end off! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2291288/Welfare-minister-rages-bishops-Theres-moral-trapping-people-benefits-says-Iain-Duncan-Smith.html
  12. Very interesting read: http://mikesivier.wordpress.com/2012/11/26/iain-duncan-smiths-question-time-lies-exposed/
