  1. They asked me to pay my debt in full. What an APPALLING thing to ask!
  2. What ridiculous comments here. It is rather obvious they simply got passed a debt, or bought, one and were not aware she died. Maybe she did owe this money, who knows? Just phone them up and tell them. Be sensible, like me!
  3. Phone the FSA tomorrow. Then apologise to me. THEY DO NOT REGULATE DCA'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is totally unbelievable. Are you a troll tryng to give wrong advice?
  4. Go to the CAB and fill in an honest income/expenditure form.
  5. I think the correct legal phrase for failing to turn up at the hearing with evidence to support your claim that a CCJ should not be granted and moaning about it months/years later is, "tougheous tittyious".
  6. Im afraid it isnt. They are stating you owe the money, thats all. They can back up their claim with the information they were provided by the client. If you wish to reclaim YOU need to prove you do not owe the money. Remember, you do not need an original agreement to prove a debt! (A common misconception, check the CCA out).
  7. I am able to provide actual proof of the inaccuracies? I called the FSA and they told me they do not regulate DCA's. I question your credentials and motives.
  8. Define 'illegally'. Failure to produce a CCA does not mean the debt is not due. a common misconception!
  9. PC Plod is even slower at visiting than DCA's. I reported the ****** neighbours for having a party 20 years ago. STILL waiting for him to call on them.
  10. Once they have judgment YOU need to prove that the judgment is flawed. Stating you want a CCA is a bit late! They didnt fail to comply at the time. Only option is to pay the debt I think.
  11. Since when were DCA's regulated by the FSA? Hmmm, very suspicious indeed. Methinks this post is made up!
  12. Thats silly, not sensible. Sorry you have failed the interview. Next!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. If [edited] like Lowells and all their various in-house incarnations are raking it on from the poor souls who don't know better and cave in under the harassment then I want some of the action! Why dont WE form a company? We can then collect debts and pay OUR debts off. Sensible really!Mr Sensible
  14. Get you partner to pay this debt. Sounds like a right git not to re-mortgage and help you out! What kind of partner is he? If he doesnt leave him. I mean, that would be the sensible thing to do! Mr Sensible
  15. 1) Because they owe money and want to clear the debt 2) Saves the cost of a stamp or postal order 3) Chance to have a chat and make a nice new friend Pretty sensible really! Mr Sensible
  16. 1. Send letter to them asking for proof that I owe them. Fair enough 2. Offer 30% as full and final settlement. Q Would this get accepted ? HOw much would they have bought the debt for? No. No idea, not relevant. 3. Carry on paying £20 and wait to see what happens. Dangerous. 4. dont pay anything. Very dangerous.
