  1. hello, i have had some really ace advice from this site and now need more please. brief history: hsbc debts passed to metropolitan even though i had been paying them they sold it to pheonix now with frederickson/bryan carter. after millions of calls and letters and discovering this site a cca request was sent got the reply of account on hold etc etc now nothing! should i contact them and ask if the debts are still there or gone back to OC or do i just leave it. i am sure i saw a template letter but cant findf it now. any advice guys? thanks xx
  2. i asked about them too and i got this reply pretty much the same. if they are Crellins Carter they should use that on their letterhead!! unless Crellins is trying to stay a bit detached from the lovely Mr. Carter;) he-he Thank you for your e-mail of 27th March. 6. it was just a small business i think it was an overdraft on a business account and possibly a credit card in the business name (one of those you pay back in full each month) it is a joint debt with my ex i have payed over half of it off and the company sent it to fredrickson who have nowsent to B.C the business closed in 1999. can i CCA them as its business? cheers
  7. any ideas guys? they haver to recieve my reply by tuesday i only recieved theirs today starting to worry:eek: cheers
  8. i am unsure as to what they are for because the debts were bundled together by HSBC do overdrafts have different rules? who do i ask about it. do they need to be seperated again?
  9. hi pop, well 12 days passed 30 days passed nothing except a letter from bryan carter saying pay up or else so sent reply thet curly ben posted some where on here (think its in the lovely bryan carter) its a good reply did the job. they sent a reply saying that they havereferred it back to their client and are awaiting instruction:grin: got one today from them about another debt but its a business one not sure if it has same laws. keep us posted its my money
  10. i have a debt quite a small one (its a joint one with an ex partner) but it is from a business that closed in 1999 i have made payments on this debt previously but now am on benefits. Frederickson took over the debt and i have told tehm i cant pay it at the moment. i have had a letter off Bryan Carter this morning saying pay in full in 7 days or court blah blah. are business debts covered by the same as usual ones? can i CCA them ? is it too late? i am unsure of what the debts are for i think it is an overdraft and maybe a credit card any advice on my next step please? thanks
  11. thanks for replies guys will give it a couple of days dont want to seem too keen:D also their 30 days run out next week for other debts dont want to remind em too much that i am out there:) will keep checkin for any more advice good idea with the letter though saintly cheers
  12. fair piont well made:) the more complaints and hopefully they will get message. when they turn up say mr.ton is in your office with a cheque for the whole balance but he cant find a monkey to sign for it:D
  13. i have previously payed metropolitan (HSBC inhouse monkeys) is that acknowlegment or does it now stop because it moved on? i have previously had letters for this and have told them to chase other party ahve i now acknowledged it?
  14. dont OFT guidelines say that they cannot do anything to bring embarresment to the client for example postcards and letters in unsealed envelopes x
  15. i have 3 debts currently with Frederickson two of them i have CCA'd the third however is a joint debt with an ex partner for a business that ceased trading in 1999. i am unsure what the debt is originally for i think it was a business bank account with possibly a card attached to it but cant remember. as its a bank account i dont think i can CCA them (or can i?) anyway the letters have started arriving for pay up this debt will not go away. its not that i mind paying it if i know what its for. any advice for how to find out i have asked HSBC for info in branch but they dont have any records of any debts they are all from 1999/2000 any clue guys thanks in advance money
