  1. In words of 4 letters or less it would seem Are they special needs?
  2. notice Eversheds rubbing their hands over this in today's Daily Mail A bit premature I feel, but expect them to start trying it on anytime soon
  3. It was a case of no default notice and a debt zeroed and sold on to our friends at Cabot
  4. would zeroing an account and selling it on without a default notice count?
  5. I'm looking for the circumstances whereby an OC makes a total cockup of selling on a debt What has to happen for them to mess it all up?
  6. Marlin tend to say a lot They probably told you this nonsense because they know there is no agreement

  9. it appears the Rankines name is spelt wrongly I believe it starts with a W and ends in an ERS
  10. why are you paying anything with no agreement?
  11. I really don't see what all the panic is about.....what business did these claim companies have trying to get agreements declared unenforceable in the first place? why don't these ambulance chasers mind their own greedy business and keep their noses out by jumping off the bandwagon they jumped on
  12. MSE aren't the "experts" they would like everyone to think some of the advice they have given on banking issues in the past is downright misleading at the very least
  13. they're a "big fish";) in the DCA world....or they like to think so,anyway!1
  14. and of course, there is the question of possible money laundering if they are trying to extract money without a copy of the original agreement that's how I sent one well known DCA packing with their tails between their legs
  15. do the SAR to Barclaycard, and then when you get the stuff back,we'll know better how to deal with this but do not panic-you've arrived in the right place!!
  16. work out EXACTLY how long it is since payment was made or debt acknowledged in writing this is VERY important, because if 6 years has passed,or will soon be passed, the debt will be statute barred, and there is nothing they can do to collect it whatsoever if it is getting on for 6 years,it should be fairly simple to delay things till the 6 years has been reached
  17. agree fully with the sentiments in post 1 the only reason I see to check credit files is to investigate the possibilty of taking them to court for publishing wrongful and/or duplicate defaults £1000 per default
  18. which is the point I was getting at Nothing has changed-if they want to pursue you to court they better have the correct paperwork
  19. it strikes me that if it was just as simple for the DCA's etc to come up with an invented/reconstituted "agreement",then what is there to stop me demanding £X from THEM,and "reconstituting an agreement" of my own? something very funny is going on here.......
  20. another complete waste of time and energy new year, same old crap as before
