  1. the plot thickens-got written confirmation to say that ppi was cancelled in sept 2004-bu for some reason despite being told over the phone that it was cancelled in 2004-their letter states it was 2005-coincidence?????? they offered to pay back half my £420 charges. WELL-yesterday my branch rang me asking when I would be paying this months installment-my reply? right-1)send me proof that you've refunded half my charges 2)i want you to look into why i was sold ppi when i was employed on a casual basis 3)i want a copy of cca-then-we can discuss payments-their reply-right ok then-we'll be in touch-silence.lol
  2. hi i took out hp on a car in 2004 and was sold ppi-at the time i was employed on a as and when needed basis as a relief nurse-no sick pay e.t.c through work-just called in to cover hols and sickness-welcome new this was the case as they nearly didnt give me the loan as i had no fixed permanent contract-they went on to add ppi at a cost of £1295 inc interest to my account-it is only now thwt i realise i wouldnt have been able to claim-have i a case for missold ppi-please advise
  3. done-it-sent prelim for £1100 +£1900 incci-I spoke with crap 1 and capquest again today -no-one could give me an apr used on my account so gone with 34.9%as everyone else has used this one-aaaaaaagh-14 days nd counting til lba
  4. hi woodentop-if you look in the bottom left hand corner there is a add a sheet button-could be worth atry-or click on bottom row then click on insert on spreadsheet top tab-then click on row-it should put another row underneath-i'm not too good with spreadsheets but sure one of these will work-sorting mine tomorrow on sheet 13 but only have 50 odd entries
  5. got too much info floating round at the mo-if i go for cci-am i right in thinking i include a copy of spreadsheet which shows 34.9% and all the workings as to how the interest is calculated-not just a schedule of charges and a note in the prelim to advise i will be claiming cci
  6. good luck-i'm submitting my prelim with crap one tomorrow-just a bit hesitant about claiming cci-i've also started getting phone calls from capquest-had one message left yesterday and one today
  7. hi-think i'm going to go for cc1 using vampiresses sheet 13 too-can't -ooops sorry not get over their vocab in their reply-not too professional i would say
  8. decided i'm prob going to include cci-do i include the rate and amount in my prelim or just a schedule of charges
  9. decided-going to wait a couple of days to see if they send cca-if so well.it should be interesting though cos the original hp agreement in 2004 was for a car that had to be swapped by welcome in 2005 due to severe mechanical probs-my copy of the amendment was never dated so is that non-enforceable?????? will see if the refund of £210 is completed then will pursue rest with cci if nec-what do you advise??
  10. if its the lba you sent just give them their entitled 14 days then go go go for n1
  11. say you had £10 month one-and added 10% interest -it would bring it to £11-if you use compounded interest you would add 10% to the £11 the second month so you pay interest on interest-make sense?
  12. contractual compound interest-see search for info
  13. aaah-scared-totalled my cap i charges to £1100-with standard 8% if it goes to court i can claim £1300 if using contractual interest at 34.9%-takes it to £2200 if using cci-takes it to a whopping £3000!!!!!!!!!! have i got the courage?-i think not!!!!! if i go for cci-is crap i far more likely to take it to court-please help-just waiting for confirmation of interest rates applied to my account which closed dec 2005 or should i just go for their advertised classic rate of 34.9%
  14. surprise surprise-just opened a letter from co-op saying that due to the bad management on my account they are giving me 30 days notice that the account will be closed-it is presently showing as £35 o.d but i am claiming £136.50 in charges. a bit odd to say thay already sent me this same letter 3 months ago and i assumed theyd already closed it i wonder whether the lba has any bearing on this
  15. aagh-asked for wrtten confirmation that policy was cancelled in 2004 yesterday-told yes over the phone but received a letter today to say it was 2005 not 2004????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! convenient or an error-higher level manager also phoned me to say that half the £420 charges would be refunded into my account today and that if i were to pursue them all i wouldnt win because they are account management fees ?????????? still awaiting cca -should i be glad i didnt send the above letter in time or dubious????
  16. ah-special delivery signed for this time-great
  17. ah well-at least this lba has been signed for-countdown again!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Any advice re this letter I have written to welcome to accompany cca request please Dear Welcome Finance, Further to my telephone conversation with yourselves today-I write to confirm that I request a copy of the cca for my account with your company. I am disputing charges applied to the account and after speaking with F.O.S today am reluctant to sign another agreement without noting what the figures will be-I therefore also request the total sum which you would include in the new agreement. I have spoken also with consumer direct and welcome complaints department regarding this matter. The main issue that concerns me is that PPI was added to the initial loan on 7th September 2004 but, although I asked in writing for it to be cancelled a few months later-after being told it could not be cancelled verbally ,I have recently become aware that it was actually cancelled by yourselves within a week or so of the loan commencement so I would appreciate also a copy of the written consent from myself asking you to cancel the policy on 15th September 2004. I also require a written explanation as to why the premium was never deducted from the balance until October 2005 when I swapped the car from the Clio to the Polo. I also had the premium included in the monthly instalment until now-I wonder, what would have happened if I had to claim on the insurance between September and December 2004?? I also resent your threats to take possession of the car if I don’t sign a new agreement.-It is your company that have added charges and also who terminated the policy without written consent. It is also your company who failed to notify me regarding the same-Perhaps that is why you want me to sign a new agreement as the last one may be unenforceable if I take this to court! You also made the threat on the telephone that by refusing to sign a new agreement I am also refusing a refund-I think not!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to receiving the above paperwork from yourselves in the next few days and will be copying this letter to F.O.S and to any other relevant authorities including your complaints department. Yours Faithfully
  19. hi-took hp with unwelcome 7th sept 2004-ppi added 995+interest==£1295. after xmas 2004 -i cancelled ppi. 2 weeks ago-asked for statement-found that ppi had not been removed so rang the office where ppi is dealt with-i was informed that ppi was actually cancelled on 14th sept 2004-with no written authorisation from me. in effect i had no ppi but was still paying for it and was never informed. they now want me to sign a new agreement before they will refund £420 charges and ppi into my account. they also say that as i am refusing to sign a new agreement it will not look good if i take them to court-as i have declined refunds-why should i have to sign a new agreement though!?? have requested cca and contacted fos.they advised me to pay installment but to be cautious about signing new agreement. where do i stand!!??-what should i do?? i would rather have some of the funds back as cheque payment rather than have it all taken off balance too!
  20. hi trying to find contact details for this kieran fella
  21. what do i need to do to see if its enforceable-aaaaaaggghhh-bumps head on desk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. hi carinas -feel like i'm bouncing from wall to wall-the manager told me that it will be documented that i have refused his offer to rebate the ppi and the charges. he said if it went to court it would not be in my best interest & that signed an agreement for the ppi-asked him to send me a copy of cca! in a way i have refused a refund but my issue is-i took out the loan on 7th sep 2004.cancelled ppi after xmas 2004 yet..the policy was cancelled on 15th september 2004 with no written request-had i needed to claim between september and december-well... he's saying i actually gave verbal consent to cancel it in september-rubbish-they demanded i put it in writing-screeeeeeeaaaam!!!!!!!! the long and the short is-they cancelled ppi without written authority and without informing me and they have deducted £420 in charges-hellllllllllp they also now need me to sign a new agreement 3 years down the line to have it corrected-my heads a shed!!!!!
  23. welcome been on phone again-if i sign a new agreement they will lend the amount that they should have done initially, take off the ppi plus all the payments i've made.should i do this-its just that i have lost interest on the charges that i could claim for and i still smell a rat-what would you do folks?????
