  2. Customer Care Officer in the form of a front man in a job centre
  3. Hiya Lol no its probably I haven't typed it well because I am uptight My cousin purchased a gift for me for my partner in the form of a Jacket, she was piled with bags and doesn't live near us so dropped it into my partners works to him so he could bring it home. He works as a security guard He then went outside and got the jacket from her and brought it through the company to put it upstairs reading for him to bring it home. Now......... the jacket did not fit so I exchanged it a couple of days later. A collegue of my partner has reported him for buying a stolen jacket of a customer which is soooooooo not true but now I only have an exchange reciept
  4. Hi thankyou for the reply. My cousin purchased it from a shop then walked over to my partners works which is a totally different place. My partner then walked through his department with the jacket to put it upstairs ready to bring home and they now think he purchased a stolen jacket from one of his customers. It looks as if one of his collegues thought this and reported him Thanks x
  5. Hi, Is a customer care officer exempt under the rehabilitations act 1974 ? Thanks x
  6. Hi, My partner has had an investigation letter regarding a "stolen jacket" The problem we have is my cousin purchased the jacket for me and took it into my partners works for him to bring home. A few days later I exchanged it and now only have an exchange receipt not the orginal as this was taken off me. Now he has had a letter from his company thinking the jacket is stolen . Do we have a leg to stand on only with the exchange receipt Thanks
  7. I will write this down and type up some notes for him to take with him Am I right in thinking he needs a letter telling him of this meeting ? if not then they would be against policy ?
  8. Probably not to be honest, they all seem to be in their own little group and he is the outsider. One of them is the one phoned the manager about the jacket but none of them will own up
  9. There was a part that I had missed, he supposedly purchased a stolen jacket from a customer which he did not, the jacket was purchased by my cousin who dropped it into him, we haven't told them this but we have the receipt so if they want to bring this up aswell they can. His workmates were told he will have a letter about this jacket Then they were told he was under investigation My partner then rang the manager himself who seemed to backtrack when he was told that my partner knew all that he had said to everyone. This manager told him there was discrepancies in his CRB I am sure they knew exactly what the investigation was for. I contacted my friend who is his team leader, when I explained what was going on I was told he can't get my partner on the jacket now so he is pulling out all the stops on other things as he really wants his wife to join the team, but unless my partner goes she can't get in there.
  10. Yes they have told the majority of his work mates that they are investigating him about the discrepancies - Surely this is wrong ?
  11. Acas states that she must be notified in writing giving her at least 24-42 hours notice of a disciplinary hearing, she must be made aware she can bring a representative such as union rep etc, I would appeal this decision and contact a union
  12. Thankyou for replying Yes he got a copy of his CRB and it only stated the crime he had already told them about, I really can't see where these "discrepancies" have come from, he disclosed everything. I personally don't think they have a leg to stand on but I am not trained in this field so cannot guarentee it. The SIA issued him a lisence with this so surely the company is going to look the fool if they say anything about this ?
  13. Hi, Sorry if this goes on. My partner started work in Feb in the security field. On the application and in the interview he was asked for convictions in the last 5 years, he stated 10 years and disclosed he went to prison for perverting the course of justice 10 years ago. The CRB check came back and also showed this charge, he was given his SIA lisence and allowed to work for the company. He has passed his 6 month probationary period and has been told by his team that he will be having a meeting with the manager because of this. He contacted his manager and was told he will be attending an investigation meeting because of discrepancies in his CRB. My question can they do this to him after he was more then honest with them by disclosing 10 instead of 5, they have told everybody apart from him that they are investigating (surely this is against procedure) and this hasn't been given in writing. I know we cannot say this but the manager in question has a wife that works as a relief security officer and wants a full time job, the tattle in the office states he is trying to get her in by challengin my partner. He is very upset about this and worried sick as you can imagine, he left another job for this one which they know. Thanks for any help in advance Sarah
  14. Thanks for replying, it is stated in the service charge sheet that aerials are serviced annually but it doesn't show a charge so I don't really know where I stand on it although it doesn't show a charge for servicing extractor fans but they come out every year to service them x
  15. I have lived in my property for almost 5 years, the aerial has never worked, I have complained but have always been told it is not their responsibility, I have never really bothered about it as I have had sky but am going through some money issues now and have had to cancel, I pay a tv license but have no tv signal. I reported the repair to my h/a again and received this back Dear Miss xxxxxx. Further to your e mail below, Newydd are not responsible for replacing your aerial. I have included an extract from Newydd's Policy and Procedures document which states that " tenants are responsible for the fitting and maintaining of aerials, to include cables and points. Regards xxxx "Policy Statement Tenants can install standard television aerials in their homes without permission. Tenants are responsible for replacing and maintaining any aerials fitted including cables and aerial outlet points. All radio aerials need the written permission of the Association. The decision to grant or refuse permission will be made in accordance with the aerials procedure. Tenants must request permission to install satellite television dishes above 90cm in diameter although permission will not be withheld unreasonably. If permission is refused the Association will give reasons." However there are a few people on this estate that have had their aerials renewed by the ha so I feel kind of discriminated against. I have replied with this Dear xxxx, I fully understand that it may be in your policy regarding aerials but due to the fact that I know some tenants on this estate that have had their aerials corrected by Newydd, I find this very unfair to be discriminated against, I received a summary of service charges from yourselves the other day which includes "quote - TV Aerial System servicing and deprication - Elite Aerials - Annually", I have never had someone out to service my aerial in the past 4 years nearly 5 that I have been here, I would appreciate you looking into this matter, if you still say nothing can be done I will be forced to contact the Ombudmans regarding this matter as I said earlier I know tenants that have had this done by Newydd, so if you are saying it cannot be then I feel you have set a precedent by allowing others to have their aerials repaired. Yours Faithfully xxxxxxxxxxx Am I within my rights to go to the ombudsman or am I going to look like a complete plonker Sorry its so long Sarah x
  16. Re: Complaint Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter of complaint in regard to the way I have been treated, after three years of waiting for something to be done about my damp I had to contact environmental health who stated that work needed to be done as the cavity was saturated, upon taking bricks out they found there to be lumps of concrete in the cavity so water could not seep through, I do not believe this to be the case as my damp patches are higher then the concrete found, the workmen have also noticed that the wall needs to be re-pointed, Mr Davies has stated this will not be happening as I get the feeling he could not be bothered with the hassle, I find this absolutely disgusting behaviour, there is black mould on my daughters bedroom wall causing breathing problems, she has asthma, where the wall outside should be re-pointed, I have had advice from two professional builders stating that the work being done is useless if the pointing is not done. Another concern I have is with the banding system, I suffer with severe mental health issues. My children suffer with breathing issues due to the damp, I handed in a letter as asked for by Newydd from my doctor stating that I suffer with mental health issues, panic attacks and anxiety and it would be in my best interest to be moved closer to my family, but was still classed as a bronze band and the medical points were not added because I want to live in the same street, I think this is terrible to penalise somebody for the fact they need to be near their family, I would dispute the decision not to award me medical points as my doctor states quite clearly the move would improve my health to not award me medical points on the grounds of moving into the same vicinity I personally think is against the landlord and tenant act 1985. I have highest faith that you will look into my concerns and see that I have been put under the deepest stress due to all this, for 3 years Newydd has breached its duty of care which could have resulted in actions for nuisance and negligence, plus it would have also added Defective Premises Act 1972 and Environmental Protection Act 1990, this would not look good for Newydd. Regarding my concerns about the banding I hope you can see that this move is a necessity for the health of myself and my children and look into getting me moved to number 3 Shakespeare Rise as an emergency which would be a like for like property, Newydd are not losing out in anyway but I would be gaining so much as I would be closer to my family and get all the support I need but I would also be out of a damp property, or up my banding status to something more appropriate due to the circumstances, other wise I will be forced to look into contacting certain individuals that could help me further. I would like a reply in writing within 3 days due to concern about losing the opportunity of this property, if I am not satisfied with the response I will then take it further and make an official complaint. Yours Faithfully
  17. Hi, Thanks for reading I am currently living in a housing association house, I have had damp on my wall for the past 3 years, I have complained and complained, a fortnight ago I got environmental health in who assesed it and stated that the walls were infact saturated. The inside wall was majorly above average with water and so was the outside, the cavity insulation is soaking inside the wall. My children have suffered health problems since we moved here, we have bad condensation also. I was wondering is there anybody that can give me a bit of information to build up a case to get us moved. I suffer with severe depression and need to be near family for support also Many Thanks In Advance xx
  18. I'm almost positive I have seen more than adverts saying they cover damage by pets
  19. Could anyone give me a head start on writing this letter, I have no way with words
  20. Thanks for the advice, guess my fingertips better start writing a letter , I have cancelled the dd from her bank when she phoned me to say so no doubt they will have something to say about that
  21. Sorry if a similar post has already been posted but I haven't got the time to look through all the posts on this section. My mother has just received two car insurance renewals through the post this morning, one from the insurance she thought she was with and then another from an insurance company that she cancelled last year. Problem is that on checking her bank statements she has been paying the two of them, when Hastings should have been cancelled as requested last year by phone when their renewal premium was higher. What I would like to know is does she stand a chance of getting her money back from Hastings as this is an error on their part ? Thanks in advance Sarah
