The company is Bouchard & Jones LTD, the only number I can find is 01443 773010 and then it gives you a mobile number for our of hours emergency which is the number that goes to answerphone both called directly and through the Newydd Housing call direct system. I have tried phoning British Gas but it seems they are only dealing with customers on their schemes at this moment so no joy there

I had the boiler put in by the HA around 3 years ago and all was fine until Jan/Feb this year when the condensate pipe froze on coming out at least twice a week in Jan, they cut the plastic pipe close to the boiler and put a bowl underneath it in Feb, it worked fine from then on, I just had to empty the bowl every so often, in April they came and sealed it up again. I have asked for this to be done again but have been told its not their policy now so they cannot do it. At 11:38am on 21st Dec it happened again, they couldn't come out until today, they came out it had thawed so the boiler went on no problem and as of 11:16pm this evening it has gone again only problem is its not just the no heating and no hot water now, there is water leaking out of my boiler. Nobody can get hold of their contractor as the phone is switched off so nothing can be done
  3. Quick query, do you think the boiler is unfit for the purpose. Random thoughts going through my head, if you have a boiler installed the reason being would be for when it gets cold you have heating ? I am normal in thinking this ? if it breaks down everytime it gets cold outside then surely it is unfit for the purpose ?

I ended up phoning social services as a last resort because my children were involved in this, they managed to wake somebody from my HA who then phoned me, after taking the details he tried phoning the contractors and got the same response as me Orange Answerphone, he didn't sound best pleased when he phoned me back. He is raising an official complaint for me tomorrow when he gets back into the office, however it is yet another night for me and the kids in the cold :0(

  6. Just thought I would update you all, what was a working boiler this morning has now gone again. I have phoned the out of hours emergency number around 30 x only to get welcome to orange answerphone, I cant go on like this surely ?

Hi, yeah its like that but its a Baxi 105 HE boiler, they are all the same though and the guy that came out today said that whenever he fits a boiler he always routes the condensate pipe inside so this sort of problem doesn't happen because they are a nightmare to thaw, however, even though they know of the major problems and its costing them money they won't re-route the pipe which in the long run saves them cash :0(
  8. Hi thanks for looking. I am having a problem with my housing association. Every time it gets cold my condensate pipe coming from the boiler freezes and the boiler cuts out, I am left usually around a couple if hours with no heating as they send their engineers out the same day. It happened today and I have been told "maybe" they can get out to me tomorrow, I have one electric heater that I have borrowed off a neighbour, they didn't even offer me them, I have been told though any cost incurred through heaters I have to pay for. We are freezing here even with the heater and snuggled up in duvets, I have two small children, no heating and no hot water... Can they leave us like this ? Also... as this happens every time it gets cold am I within my rights to ask that the pipe is moved so it flows through an internal system instead of outside which would prevent this happening.   9. Hi, I have just noticed a crack right through the middle of my bathroom window, I was wondering if I phone my landlord (Housing Association) do they have a duty to fix it. We have had major cold weather and snow lately so I know this is due to weather and nothing else. I need to know first because they tend to charge high rates for things like this if they class it as your own fault, if they are not obliged to fix then it would be easier and cheaper for me to get it fixed myself. They have the building insurance on the property so there is no way I can claim through that either. Many Thanks

The place where he works was open because cardiff council is much better then Rhondda council, we live at the top of a steep hill that was like a sheet of glass, we are under around 5 inches of snow, today the sun was lovely but not a drop has melted. Cardiff was fine although they did close early, the other employees were ok because they live in or around cardiff

Yes it has come from the big boss, he stated today that anybody that was not able to attend work Wednesday was not allowed to claim this time off as annual leave as it was not pre-booked before hand so everyone that was absent from work HAS to take unpaid leave. I think this is disgusting behaivour from a big security company
  12. Hi, My partners boss have stated that nobody can claim their annual leave for the past snow day as they were not pre-booked. Is this allowed to happen Thanks
  13. We purchased a 42" Samsung HD tv on finance around 3 days ago. We were swayed away from the LG by the sales man to be told this one was better quality. Brought the tv home and set it up everything seemed great within the next few days I started noticing pixel distortion on the tv blurred lines, auros around people etc, I put it down to sky, I have just watched a dvd on blu ray and the exact same thing happens. Is there anything I can do as currys say they are happy to replace as long as its not opened, if we payed in cash I would take it back no problem I just don't know where I stand with finance Also I do not have the packaging, it was so big and we thought the picture was the sky connection we left it out for the bin men Thanks in advance
  14. His SIA lisence is issued, he has held it since Feb Yes it is utter lies, whom ever this witness may be is a total lier, it wouldn't surprise me if the manager has got someone to do it Yes you are correct on the earlier thread

I am not sure to be honest, I know he didn't pay her until she came over the following weekend, she must of given the receipt at that time aswell because it was in the bag and she didn't give him the bag because she had a load of stuff in it for her aswell. This happened around the last week of July and I exchanged the jacket on the 13th Aug
  16. The other allegation is failing to notify the company of previous convictions on application for employment. His convictions were spent after 7 years and the application form declaration states: I have no criminal convictions other than any treated as spent under the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974and those disclosed on this form. He was advised by the interviewing officer that his convictions were spent and told to tick no on convictions
  17. My cousin asked him to go outside to collect the jacket as she was in her car and there were no parking spaces, no member of staff would have seen (sadly as we may have had a witness ourselves) She wouldn't have made a complaint, this is just the people he works with being malicious

If they have no evidence which I am sure they don't as no crime has been committed is there anything my partner can pull of on them for slandering his character and mine by saying he purchased stolen goods and I received them. They shouldn't have evidence but then again these people are very dodgy and the manager seriously has it in for my partner as he placed a grievance in about him......... bearing in mine the grievance was put it 24th sep morning and this letter must of been sent out that afternoon as it is also dated 24th
  19. He has a meeting on tuesday, there is more information regarding this on the customer care officer post which states another allegation they have thrown at him x

  21. Hi thanks for your reply. He has no grounds as service is less then 1 yr She paid by cash (one thing I will never do) I can't remember the date of purchase to contact the shop I know it was before the 13th Aug but thats all
  22. The exact wording is: Alleged acts of misconduct in Public area and in witness of staff, in that you purchased an item from a claimant which is of dubious origin. I cant even remember the date it was purchased to contact the shop

Looking at it I don't think I am Just remembered when I exchanged I exchanged for another jacket as they didn't have my size in the orginal, on my way out I noticed the original jacket in my size on one of the other pegs I exchanged again back to that one. One jacket ends in 68 the other 60, there are two different jackets on the receipt Oh now I am worried all over again...... I could just cry x
  24. Another thing on the investigation is he did not declare his previous convictions It was 10 years ago so after 7 we assumed they were spent. His declaration states on his application I have no criminal convictions other than any treated as spent under the rehabilitation act 1974 and thos disclosed on this application form. He ticked No because we thought they were spent under the act, I have a funny feeling they are going to say the act is exempt because of the job but he was never told this, he has no legal training and the lady who interviewed him told him his convictions were spent when he asked about the question. The manager has it in for him as he put a grievance in about him and is throwing everything at him at the moment
