  1. Hi again, Thank you very much for your advice and I know this is going to sound really dim, but I can't seem to find the Northants address to send the letter to:???:, do you know it or could you point me in the right direction please, I am hoping to send the letter off tomorrow if possible. :???:Thanks again.
  2. Hi, Thank you so much for responding. I have drafted this letter, is this ok do you think? If it is I will sign and post off first thing Monday, thanks again for your help. Xxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxxxx London Barclaycard Northants 2 October 2010 Formal Complaint Dear Sir/Madam, Re: Account No: xxxxxxxxxx I am writing to formally complain about the problems I have been having trying to change address and get a new Barclaycard for my above account. I have spoken to Barclaycard and told them of my new address and that I needed a new card as I had mislaid my card, they advised me they would send out my new card to my new address which had been noted. My new card did not arrive, Barclaycard statements were still going to my old address, obviously with no transactions, so I call them again and they told me to go into the local Barclays Bank with 2 forms of id and my Barclaycard statement to change address and order my new card which I duly did. Barclays bank told me it was nothing to do with them and I needed to phone back to Barclaycard and arrange it with them, which I duly did, only to be told again, to go back to Barclays bank with 2 forms of id and my Barclaycard statement, which again, I did. The bank told me again it was not a matter for them but to phone back Barclaycard, which I did, to be told again, go into Barclays Bank with 2 forms of id and my Barclaycard statement, I am exasperated and very angry with this treatment. I ask that this problem be resolved within 14 days otherwise I will escalate my complaint to Barclay’s headquarters with no further warning. Yours sincerely,
  3. Hellppp,,, Can anyone help or advise what would seem a simple enough matter. Moved home, phoned barclaycard to say have moved home, can't find my old barclaycard, gave my new address and they assured me they would send a new card to my new address,,,,,,,months later, no card sent,,,,phone them back they said they have sent it,,but to pop into barclays bank with 2 id's and proof of address, which I did, they said its nothing to do with them but to phone back to barclaycard, which I did and they said "pop into barclays bank with 2 id's and proof of address,,,,blah blah", this has happened twice now and getting nowhere, my barclaycard statements, incidentally with no transactions on, keep going to my old address,,,,,,what can I do, who can sort this out? I am sooooo frustrated and going round and round in circles,,,,I feel that the staff at barclaycard are just reading off a card and can't think (or discuss), anything outside that box!!
  4. Can anyone help me please, phew, where do I start,,,,I am a homeowner with a mortgage but left approx 2 years ago due to personal ex partner problems,,,,,let my house to pay the mortgage for a temporary help to my problem, have rented privately since and was working but now out of work, savings have run out and change from letting out my house is not enough for my rent let alone feeding me. I am now sick and find myself in a situation where I have nothing to live one, can't pay bills, but sick forms are scary, so depressed, can anyone advise if I can claim any benefits even though I am getting money from tenants but not enough to live on.

Hello everyone,,,,,well, got the letter asking me to sign it and return asap and they will put all due monies in my account,,,,,,what I want to ask is,,,,,why should I have to sign something saying I will not go overdrawn and will not blah blah blah,,,,,this is not admitting we are at fault,,,,blah blah,,,,,,when other forum members have just been credited in their accounts......whats the difference from one claimant to another:confused: know I should be pleased, and trust me I am,,,,but just feel a little bit upset to have to sign when I think its not really necessary going by other people who have won on this site,,,,,,and dont want to sound ungrateful but a little bit peeved to think they still dangling the carrot so to speak when its our money anyway,,,,,so either give it to me or see you in court, no.....?
  8. Hello everyone,,,,,,think I've won but just a quick question........is it the norm they, SCM, ask you sign the bottom of the letter and return it to them and to contact the court to tell them of full settlement (including court costs and interest I might add,,,,,,before they deposit the monies... 11. I did try the ombudsman, and they said I should get a soliticitor,,,,cant afford it,,,,,but know what the council did was not right,,,I was uneplyed at the time and struggling single parent studying,,,,,is there anyone here on this site that can advise of solicitor that would deal 'no win no fee' for housing matters.....?,,,oh think I should mention I even had to move out of my house for council to do massive repairs,,,,,,
  12. Thanks for the help with subscribing:) Just to update,,,,,,phoned court yesterday who stated my papers were with the judge for direction......and so am now waiting for my court date,,,,should I have asked if they (SCM) asked for, or got a stay? I know the court have received their AQ.

  14. I wrote many, many emails at the time and council really dragged their feet in doing the works even after I had complied and withdrawn,,,,almost begging emails asking them to start the works as promised........they were very clever and no, did not put it in writing but when I compalined the complaints dept did put it in writing to say words to the effect of "they have been advised by their legal department council were right to ask me to withdraw"......I have no money to get a solicitor and this was approx 3 years ago,,,,,,,can I still take action and also is there any legal people that could help me,,,,,I don't know how to proceed from here although I know they almost gave me a nervous breakdown at the time and I was very badly bullied by them.....
  15. Can anyone help me..........I was told I had to withdraw my original rtb befoe subsidence works would be done on my council house,,,when I put straight back in for the rtb when works eventually finished,,,,price had risen approx £60k,,,,,,,question is: was I hoodwinked,,,,,know I was bullied by them,,,,but eventually ended up buying and struggling to pay mortgage....can anyone advise please.
  16. can anyone enlighten me,,,,,have taken some advice but still really wobbly,,,,have got a ccj against me from an overpayment from local boro for services ,,,,,,overpayment cleared but still over £500 charges left from the debt collecting agency the council handed the debt over to.......council happy with cleared account but I'm still left with this huge amount to clear which I feel now is unjust because after all I didn't ask for this debt, was apparently an overpayment......should I go for a removal of ccj due to the fact that it was not a debt I ran up but a mistake they made.......

These banks have so much to answer for eh?
  22. Yes, Pondfish is right,,,,,,,I will carry on with the claim,,,,,it doesn't matter if it takes longer does it because I never ever thought I would get this far with everything, and I really don't think I would have got off first base without the tremendous support I've had on this site, so, onward and upward:) I'll keep everyone posted on any updates.
