Hello,, Just a quick update,,,,,was advised by customer services to go into my branch where my account used to be,,,,,so, yesterday, as advised I went marching into Natwest branch where my account used to be,,,,qued forever and eventually when it was my turn a young lady at the desk stated I would have to bring 2 proof of id's and a utility bill for them to look it up,,,,,,whooooooshhhh, out of my bag came, driver licence, passport and telephone bill,,,,,(I'd thought they would ask for something),,,,,she then said "oh:x ,,,,,sorry we cant look up old accounts you will have to write in asking for the information",,,,,,,,and as good as said "NEXT",,,,,,,dumstruck was the word,,,,,,,,so,,,,today I went back,,,,,,asked for a doormant form,,,,,,,the lady went away and came back and said "we havent got any, write in and ask for one or try coming back another day",,,,,,,,,,phew,,,,,so,,I've read through the posts which have very kindly responded to me and am trying a last ditch attempt and have phone a company who used to pay my money into my Natwest account all those years ago and they will try and trace my account no. but wont know till tomorrow,,,,,,,but if that fails,,,,,how do I find a SAR letter and do I have to send any money with it,,,,,,,so skint at the moment,,,, Would appreciate any advice please:)

  6. Hello everyone,,,,,,,I can't stop reading this......brilliant! I just called Natwest customer services and they told me they wouldn't be able to trace anything without my old (closed account) account number, which I haven't got.........that can't be right, can it? So how would I get that then if they can't give it to me.......it was approx 10 years ago so would that be a problem? Can anybody advise me please? I'm determined to get back what they took from me, was a fortune in charges and they really showed me no mercy whatsoever,,,,,would be so good if I could claim them charges back,,,
  7. Right, that's it,,,,,,been to the court today, qued for ages and paid my £100 for my AQ and enclosed the section G notes and Draft thingy as advised by GaryH (thank you),,,,,then went to the post office, qued again, and recorded delivery'd my copy of AQ and G notes and Draft, (that is all you have to send to SCM snt it?,,,,and so now do I just wait? Must admit, although extremely skint, will have to eat beans the rest of the month, I do feel relieved that bits done:)
  8. oh dear,,,,,,,,,cant do it........can highlight and so the bits are blue but when I right click to copy it just gives me the option of select all and the highlighs dissaprears and it just selects/copies everything and it wont paste even onto my word page (it says something about outside it) ......I'm using my laptop doe that make a difference,,,,no mouse just buttons
  9. Good Morning Gary, Was watching my inbox waiting for someone to reply,,,, right, that is really helpful and clear, so do I add the bit about the month stay on the sheet or type it up and attach it? Also, how do I ask for my costs back? Errrrr, do I find those pages you showed me here or do I look somewhere else so I can print them off? Thanks again,,,,

Also, I had paid hundreds and hundreds of pounds in costs on a regular basis to Natwest over ten years ago,,,would I be able to claim them back? That would actually change my life:) its so much money
  11. Hello, This is going to sound really like I'm really thick,,,,I don't understand the QA thing,,,I've got up to the G section of my N149 and have drafted up the bit from GaryH about asking to set aside the stay of a month, but I dont understand waht esle to put,,,,,,,I dont reocnise the new AQ (or the old one for that matter),,,,,so I'm totally stuck,,,,,to nervuos to actually fill that bit in....... The template saying xxxxxx claimnat v xxxx defendant blah blah I s not on my N19...........can anybody tell me what actually to put before I put the bit from GaryH about the stay...... please be patient,,,,,,its the last bit (hopefully), and I'm really nervous and have to lend the money to pay for the blasted thing to add insult to injury..... :( Also, can anybody tell me how they ask or get the costs back already paid for e.i. £120 moneyclaim and this £100 AQ fee? Thank you
  12. Good morning everyone, I need help quickly,,,,,,,,I'm trying to complete my AQ and even though it looks easy it isnt, I'm confused:confused: ....I did look at the links I was advised but not sure about what to put as GaryH says something about a new one and you can put something on to stop ltsb asking for a month stay,,,,,,oh dear,,,,,,any advice,,,,,,shall I just follow the original format or the new one, getting stressed,,,,,,can i phone someone, ha ha......I don't seem to be able to absorb much lately, but I just read nimo's thread and it was brilliant, I wanto to win, I will win!,,,,,,,but help Alos, how do I get my costs back,,,,,do I haveto meniton it on my QA,,,I mean the court costs of £120 and AQ cost which is £100......?
  13. Oh my, well done! Yours was the first thread I read this morning,,,,,I'm struggling trying to complete my AQ but will go back to my thread and ask for help........it really lifted my spirits, have a great day:-)
  14. You sound so confident,,,,,,,I'm a bit wobbly ,,,,I can't attempt the QA yet as I'm working all weekend and want to be able to sit down and take my time....but I will get them done next week, just that I'm swiftly running out of funds and I only got paid today:( ,,,,never mind, it would be so great to get these charges back,,,,I'll follow your thread too:)
  15. Hi, No, my claim is for almost £3,000........getting nervous
  16. Hi, I've received today the defence from ltsb, looks quite standard, I think.. and the AQ papers,,,,,will need some help with them please. Funny enough, I also got a letter from ltsb in the same post saying basically, no, to any refund,(this was from my lab letter), but I will get the forms done and back to the court early next week before my money runs out and I don't have the £100 fee.
  17. Good morning, I was so overwhelmed by the posts I've received, it really does help people this site, thank you. Some brilliant news,,,,,,,,,t mobile rang me yesterday, a nice lady spoke with me for ages about this latest, almost £1400 bill. She apologised for the company not initially listening or negotiating with my son and she said if I paid £300 today (I get paid today), then the outstanding money/bill will be taken off due to the circumstances, the phone will be reconnected, she offered me a cheaper, £25 d/d per month from my bank account, but still in my sons name, a smaller tarrif with the option to top up when the 150 minutes runs out, then its sort of pay as you go till the next month limit, then she said about the default, that she hoped she could get that taken off, I then said I inist on it because if they had initially been offered by my son, more than once he tried, a monthly payment added to his d/d to clear it and they had refused point blank, she then said it takes approx 72 hours to know if they can do that, so my question is,,,,,,,,,,shall I not pay the £300 today (this will take a huuuuuge piece of my wages), until they can confirm they have removed /cancelled any default on my sons credit as I know this sounds silly but I'm really angry about that as he has always paid everything and I do feel strong about it.......... Sorry for rambling, but my head is racing and I'm worried I'll pay the money this morning, which will skint me but it will be worth it if to stop this.
  18. Hi LFI, Thank you for your reply, it does sound hopeful and I will question these charges,,,,higher than a loan shark I bet! I will also look into the possibility of getting the ccj set aside because it certainly was misadministration,,,,,not a payment I had requested, I didn't even realise there was overpayment until they told me, so surely that must show the court that this was not a debt I had delibrately set out to aquire and if it wasn't for their misadministration I wouldn't be in this position.
  19. Hi LFI, I understand what you mean about the court appearance, honestly was overwhelmed at the time,,,,I had filled in the bit to say I was going to dispute the matter, but couldn't get myself to court, too nervous, never mind, its done now:( and just to make it even more painful, the ccj on my credit file says the amount of £13xx.xx, so that looks like the charges from steeles were included somehow, I don't understand how that could be though because it was the council that took me to court, can you throw any light on that, would that be possible the debt collectors can add charges from court to a ccj? I will wait for the leaflets and the forms the lady said she will send and just have a look and see if they can shed any more light for me. However, this debt apparently was from 1998 and the council took years even before , as far as I can remember, before they started chasing me for it:confused: But I do know that it may be legal, but given the circumstances of the ccj, its not just, but I'll have to accept it.
  20. Hi, Can anybody advise me about this procedure or give any advice at all please?
  21. Hi I've phoned the court today and spoke to a lovely lady who was very helpful to me. I told her the story and 'how it had affected my life, ccj meant I could not even go to a high street bank for my mortgage and had to get one that I pay high rate for.....because of this council administration error,,,,she advised that I could pay £35 for something (didnt understand that bit) but it is so I could go back in front of a judge and plead my case.....I told her I would have the courage now to do that, Ithink??? So, she is posting me off the relevant forms today and hope I will receive them tomorrow. It looks hopeful doesnt it:)
  22. All done, letter to t mobile registered post and cc to wescot faxed to both numbers today! I've been so busy trying to get everything sorted for my son I'd neglected my own matters, typical mum I am, but, for anyone who is interested, I've started a new thread for myself, in the debt forum,,,,its an old issue but I'm forging forward now, feel strong and determined. Oh, and Ltsb have till this Friday, 31st to put in a defence for my bank charges............ onward and upwards! A big thank you to all the people giving their support x
  23. Hi, Is anyone there:) I've just spoken to the council who have advised me that they did just ask for the debt, none of these extra costs and that I would have to speak to Steeles regarding them. Also, I have cleared the debt completely with the council, in fact I'm in credit for £4.xx, So, it is steeles that have put on these charges,,,,,,can anyone advise me what to say to steeles about them? I don't want to call them and be floundering around.... Thank you
