  1. Hi ladybird,,,,thanks for your post,,,,,,he has seen a CBT therapist from the GP,,,,,should he ask again for some more sessions although his GP is a brilliant on the ball, young doctor who my son see's and has refused to see any other GP at the surgery because he trusts this one and seems to know about his symptoms, its a reactive depression resulting in a fatal accident of a friend of my sons Oh my, so worried about this PPI,,,,have heard so many bad reports:( I do hope they don't penalise my son, he really needs all the help he can get at the moment,,,,financial pressure is mounting daily,
  2. Wow,,,,that was quick, thank you very much indeed.....need to get this finished. Would you know if it is ok to add my own paragraph in mentioning the default they are intending for my son and also should I include the £30.00 charge they have put on his account for the privilege of putting the default on. Thanks again:)
  3. Message for Nik........couldn't find the scales at the bottom of the page in your reply for me,,,,,,,wanted to thank you
  4. good Morning,, Can anybody advise me, I'm just trying to type up the list of charges + interest from my sons bank statements,,,,,the problem is, on the left hand side of the statement there is a date but in the details column where the charge is listed there is also a date from when the charge was,,,,so, do I list the charge and interest from the date it was put on or from the date it was taken from the account? Hope that makes sense...i.e. Date Details Withdrawn Paid In Balance 28 May 2002 30 Apr a/c 12345 30.00 0.00 xx.xx Hope that is clearer. Thank you anyone
  5. Can anybody advise me,,,,, My young son has lost his job due to depression, just before xmas,,,before we realised what was wrong with him there was lots of damage done, i.e., lost his job due to lack of concentration and not focused, deep in debt, and bank (and others), chasing him for money. I have just worked out his charges from the bank which amount to almost £1,000 which would really help him and relieve some of the pressure, but this also includes charges for unpaid personal loan which is currently pending for the insurance he took to cover 'out of work' form has only just gone back so its possible some of these charges will get reimbursed. I want to send off a prelim letter to get the ball rolling for him asap, can I do that now to include all the charges so far and adjust it if they do reimburse him any of the charges for the personal loan?
  6. Just posted off by special delivery, copies of schedule of charges to include the description of charges to money claim online and scm solicitors to be attached to my claim. Now do I just wait,,,,is there anything I should or could be doing?
  7. Good Morning,, Can anyone advise me quickly of SCM solicitors address to send list of charges to?????
  8. Me again,,,,,sorry just going through the description of charges and have come across a charge for 'unpaid personal loan, fee £17.50' is that something I can claim for???? oh my,,,,,helpppppp
  9. Hi, thank you for the fast answer.......I will post off by registered mail to ltsb solicitors tomorrow......is there no point then in sending one to moneyclaim? Shall I just wait,,,,I'm worried in case I get penalised for sending 2 different lists to each party......is that ok still. Sorry to keep asking but I'm really shaky about this. Thanks again
  10. right ok, am just typing up the new list of charges to include the description of charges, i.e. returned cheque, returned dd and overdraft excess fee.....is that right? Do I then send 2 copies out, 1 for the ltsb solicitors and 1 for moneyclaim? Is that right. Apologies for the constant asking but need to make sure I'm getting this right as I really nervous of messing it up. Anyone? Barty/Livelylad??
  11. sorry to be a nusiance, but when will I know they have sent my claim to another court? Will they write and let me know when that happens or do I just send the original list of charges to ltsb solicitors and just wait to hear from the new court before I send the amended list with the additional column of what the charges are for?
  12. apologies......bit stressed now. What I actually meant in my last post was that the list of charges I sent to the court will be different from the list I send to the solicitors if I add what the charges are for.
  13. Hello Barty, Thanks for your advice but I'm worried now because the list of charges I sent to the court will be different to the list I have sent the court if I add on what the charges are for,,,,,,,will that matter? I'm sure I've read somewhere on here that people have had to start again because the paperwork was messed up,,,,,,I don't think I could take that kind of pressure at this point. Also, they never ever even responded to my lba,,,,,do I have to make the court aware of that? Thanks again.
  14. Hello again,,,,,I have today received an acknowledgement, it says ltsb are going to defend all of it (my claim),,,,,,as expected. So, do I now send the list of charges to their solicitors does anyone know....? Do I just post it off with the claim no from moneyclaim and ask that they attach to the claim papers...? Another thing I wanted to ask, I sent the list of charges to moneyclaim but it didn't actually say what the charges were for, just the statement no., the charge and date it was taken, then added the interest at 8%. Is that ok? Also,,,,,do I just wait now or do I need to make any phone calls or contact court for a date or anything.....phew,,,I'm getting a bit frazzled and panicky now so trying to keep calm and focused. Thanks anyone.
  15. I've enclosed the fee and requested all the statements today, will keep you posted as to when I receive them. Thank you for your help
  16. Hi, Can anybody help me,,,,,I'm trying to get the charges list for my son but although have just got his online banking going today only to find he cant get no more than 6 months statements as far as I can see. Has anybody got all their statements online for the full 6 years..? , he has not had his a/c for 6 years, its more like 5 but they have taken so much from him and now he is unwell and could do with some financial help so am trying to get something back for him. Any advice would be welcomed and appreciated. Thank you
  17. Thanks for the response Barty, I'll just wait then for the acknowledgement then send them off. Hey, this news about the banks coming to an agreement to make charges less, does it mean that everyone after March will get less of their money back? Or will it mean that anyone putting in a claim against a bank will get all their charges back if they have claimed before the decision? I'm confused about that one, any ideas?
  18. Hello, Can anybody help,,,,, I did my online moneyclaim Friday night and sent my list of charges + interest Monday special delivery to arrive no later than Tuesday by 1pm. I was happy with that then today I have received a letter from the court saying they have sent the claim Monday by first class post but they would not have received my additional letter and charges list to attach to my moneyclaim before they sent the claim to Lloyds........has that messed anything up? It also says it will be deemed served on 3rd March and the defendant has until the 17 March to reply, which I suppose they will and reply to defend it eh? Also, had an email to say in April the banks will probably agree a lower rate of charges, will that affect my claim do you think?
  19. Sorry Gizmo,,,,,missed that last bit........no, not the full balance of the holiday just £180 balance of deposit, believe which would have been included in the £180, although by that point I'd glazed over and not sure where the insurance would have fitted in,,,,,? Could be that it was an additional option.
  20. Hello again, Well, it seems he has no insurance (that is included in the outstanding £180.00 balance) and this is what they will be chasing she said,,,,,also, the £100 deposit was for him and his friend, so no insurance for either....I've just remembered she also said,,,"well why didn't his partner who he booked on the holiday come in and pay the balance"........ that's when I thought I was going to explode,,,,, Lenny, this illness is awful, can empathise with you and thankyou Gizmo for taking an interest,,,,,,,hope somebody can help as I feel like I'm at the end of my tether and feel that the lack of common curtousy, let alone compassion is something Thompson's obviously don't train their staff in.......! Thanks again.
  21. oh my,,,,,I'm so sorry,,,,I had just assumed you were, or have I been thinking of the wrong person..... ....probably the latter. Sorry.
  22. Hello,,,,,,can anybody advise me? My son has recently (well couple of months ago actually) been diagnosed with severe depression, its so bad he has lost his job because he initially didn't realise what was wrong (neither did I),,,,thought he had just lost all interest in everything and was just sleeping,,,,,well to cut a long story short,,,,I am trying to sort out his matters for him, i.e. all the unopened letters he has,,,,,,I've found letters to say he had booked and paid a £100 deposit on a holiday for him and friend to travel mid May and he has not responded to further letters from them asking for a balance for holiday and insurance. Obviously he is too unwell now or in the foreseeable future to go anywhere, so I went to Thomson travel and spoke to a very disinterested and bad mannered young woman who stated he will not be able tohave his deposit back and they will be chasing him for a further £181. I tried to explain that he was unwell and so has not got the option to travel even if he wanted to,,,,,,she then went on to slurp her coffee, constantly sniffing and eventually 'cuffing' her nose with the back of her hand, and just kept repeating that they would be chasing my son for the rest of the account...... god I don't know where they get these people from.....I left the shop purely because I was so angry and frustrated,,,,,there was no manager there and the young woman I was dealing with refused point blank to put in writing her refusal to refund anything........can anybody please advise me ............plzzzzzzz I'm chasing around trying to sort out tax, banks, mobiles.........any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading my thread.
  23. Hello Barty, Thanks for the response and encouragement,,,,,,is greatly appreciated,,,,,,,I read a lot of the cases on here and it does give me hope but I seem to not be able to absorb the information,,,,,,,think its because I'm in a sorry situation at the moment and can only get worse if I've messed anything up and miss out.........I did eventually just + interest of £xx.xx at the end of my list of charges so as to not complicate matters with totals that differ........hope that's adequate. Thanks again for the quick reply. (that's a very strained smile by the way)
