Hi Guys,

I must say first this is a brilliant site!!!!! I found it through the MSE website.

I have a question about a BOS account that is now closed.

The account was a student account which had a £1600 OD, stupidly i let it go over this to the tune of £2000. The account was registered as defaulted and the balance was £3254.

The account was then passed to a debt collection agency. Payplan manage this for me and pay a monthly repayment to BOS.

What i want to know is can i go through the process of DPA letter and then make a claim even after this has been with a debt collection agency? The charges are from three years ago. and I'm in scotland.

i couldn't find a thread that said anything about this.

Also would this apply to a BOS credit card as well? same story but not as much money.

Any help is much appreciated!!

Thanks all

Tom
