I had an account with the RBS, and have subsequently closed the account and moved to another bank. During my time with RBS I suffered alot of bank charges. My question is, how would I go about getting the information from my bank regarding these charges. I have no record of my account number and am not sure where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Can I use the DPA letter without my account details?

absolutely! Just give them your name and address, date of birth. If your name or address have changed sicne the accounts were opened, make sure you include that info. They will likely ask you for some ID - passport/drivng license/birth certificate - let them have it and then wait for the info.

The DPA request is essentially a request for information about YOU not your accounts - that information in included in the info about you, so no need for account numbers if you don't have them
