I have recently been made redundant and have been unable to bank a regular amount into my bank account on which I have a large overdraft. My bank are threatening legal action for this overdraft much of which Iwill be due to bank charges. I am not sure if I should pursue a claim for refund of bank charges since I am also claiming with this bank for personal protection insurance envoked due to my recently redundancy, I do not want to jepordise this insurance claim will it be affected by my claim for refund of bank charges.

If it was, I'm pretty sure it would be a criminal offence... Your insurance should pay out regardless of any litigation in progress no matter who it's against; obviously if your insurance claim is deemed valid.

However, you may wish to wait until your insurance have ruled on whether the claim is valid, before you decide to pursue your claim for bank charges.
