hi everybody, I'm new, my name is frances even though my user name is johny, my husbands name! I've received statements listing the overdraft charges from my bank the woolwich, I wrote a letter in response and they have come back apologising for the delay in dealing with my query and that they have set up a special department to deal with these queries and they do hope to find a solution in four weeks. I am not sure if this is standard so if any one else has been told this please let me know. I read in The Times newspaper that a Barclays customer tried to claim his charges back and was offered half of the amount which he accepted which seems a bit disappointing.

Also does anyone know what the next step is.

Never used an inter-net forum before so am a bit unsure as to what i am doing.

Frances

hi "Johny" and welcome ok first things first read the faqs they will guide you through the whole process also read the threads in your bank forum.

ok not sure what you mean overdraft charges? you can claim for unpaid chq/so/dd etc. Overdraft interest is complicated to claim back and most people dont bother but it is up to you.

as for the 4 weeks rubbish give them the standard time frame which is laid down in the FAQs.Submit your prelim letter with 7 days notice to pay.

you Will recieve the total amount that you are claiming for.:D
