Hello everbody, please bear with me as this is my first post here.

First of all I would like to say what a fantastic site this is, spent the last 3 days trawling through all kinds of posts and information, brilliant :)

My question would be about loans taken out with Welcome around 2002/03, please forgive me as I no longer have any paperwork with regards to them so I cannot give specific dates.

The first one was for £1000, and I was made to take out PPI or I would not get the loan, can`t remember details of the PPI.

To cut a long story short I continued to pay these payments for around a year until my (then partner, now wife) found ourselves in financial diificulties and I took out another loan with Welcome that paid all balance of first loan and gave us another £800.

Three months later I was made redundant, so I went to see Welcome about my payments and if PPI would cover these, after filling in several forms for claims I was told I could claim as I had not been in continuous employment for 12 months.

Quite simply on receiving this information, I could not pay.

Now after years of the debt being bounced around several DCC`s and myself making token payments, I was wondering if I would be in a position to claim th PPI back, I realise the PPI on the second loan has not been paid but it was paid(in full) on the first.

The total debt owed is currently around £3000, I do not now for sure the exact amount as I cannot find any letters from DCC`s.

My question is, to start the ball rolling who do I request the SAR from, Welcome or the DCC and will they still have all the details of loans and PPI taken.

Thanks for help
