  1. Dear Astronomyphilly, I am indeed sorry to hear that the bailiff is knocking on the door, although my sympathy is somewhat limited. The words 'you can take a camel to water but you cannot make him drink' spring to mind. All on this thread has given you good and proper advice but it seems to me that you have merely buried you head in the sand in the hope it would go away. It won't. My last and final uttering on this matter go and consult the CAB. Remember the courts only deal with facts and not your feelings and emotions. Collate all the facts and papers you have and go and see them. The plaintiff obviously thinks that he has a good case. It is up to you to prove that yours is better. Good luck Dundee Cake
  2. Just been in to our local garden centre as Hammond has a concession there. Was pounced upon by a rather overwhelming sales person who before we could say anything asked us to enter into a competition about chocolate bars etc. She insisted to have personal info and say a surveyor would call to advise and measure up. I could smell rat and said NO. She carried on and on and I had to forcefully say to her that we only came in to have a look. She insisted that we heard her out much to my irritation and I then walked out leaving my wife to deal with this idiotic woman. Also the furniture were of very poor quality i.e. chipboard with veneer. I cannot recommend this company and beware of their sales methods.
  3. I'm indeed sorry you took offence. I was trying to help you on Court procedures. Have you phoned the court? As I have hinted on a couple of times twiddling your thumbs won't get you anywhere. People on CAC can offer you all the advice in the world but only you can act!!!! Only the court can establish the validity of your claim/defence.
  4. I suggest you phone the court office and seek their guidance as to what you need to do. The court will not be able to give you any legal advice on the claim but will be able to help on procedures. If you want to have this matter resolved you really need to get your finger out. Winging on CAC won't do it for you. Many here have tried to 'drag you to water', but only can drink.
  5. I can't add anything to what already has been said except to say that to get the Judgment set aside should not be a problem. Where you seem to have a problem is to formulate a defence. Courts deal with facts and are usually disinterested any emotional arguments.
  6. Hi there, this BB is giving you good advice. I was a litigant for debts for over 25 years but retired 20 years ago so although there have been many changes the procedures are principally very similar. From memory as previously stated you need to apply for the judgment to set aside presumably as the summons was served by post where you no longer resided at the alleged time of service. The wording could be as follows: " I apply for the judgment to set aside on the grounds I was not living at the address stated on the summons. I also apply for leave to enter a defence to the action". You most likely will be given a date and it is essential that you attend. I think that the application has to be in triplicate i.e. one for you, one for the plaintiff (ask the court if you may serve it by post) and a form for the court. Regretfully I cannot advise you on the claim or your defence. YOU MUST DO IT NOW!!!! Good luck
  7. I do not intend to enter in to a slanging match with you. With over over 14000 post you are obviously glued to your PC dishing out advice most of it very spurious. For Christ sake get a life, get a hobby, try to make friends, go out for a pint because you are a f*****g bore!!!!
  8. And why have you not offered a scrap of evidence against him but accepted unproven tittle tattle by other Caggers, who think that they are in the know. I again ask you to come up with the goods. So far I have been polite to you and I would expect similar courtesy from you!!!!
  9. Hi, I'm indeed sorry to learn of your mistrust but I can see from where you are coming from. I'm also desperately sorry that you have experience the horror of the Pay Day loan. I can assure you that I'm not a troll nor Per Gullestrup himself. I can only reiterate that I'm overjoyed that for at least for the time being Larholt plus cronies are stopped from plying his evil trade. It should not surprise me if bankruptcy will on the cards. I wish you luck and hope you get a just result from you unfortunate experience with PDL.
  10. Hi Big E Sorry I got a little confused. As you can see I'm new to CAG. Rest assured I'm not trolling nor am I PG. If I was I would not be living in a 2up2down. Please note the exchange between Renegrade and myself which I hope you will find self explanatory. I have little to add except to say that I'm sure that Larholt and his hooray henry's will reappear but I doubt very much that the 'G's' will be anyway near him they him. OL will get his comeuppance but like most con artist he will raise his ugly head again and again.
  11. Hi Renegrade, I sincerely hope that you don’t find my response a ‘silly retort’. In fact I do think we are actually singing from the same hymn sheet. I too am delighted that WLP is no longer. As previously stated I have a special interest in finding out about Messrs Larholt and Chapple’s activities which have been well documented on the web and am very familiar with them . I totally agree with you and others that this pair are thoroughly obnoxious and dishonest. However, I do think that Pay Day loan co’s. have a place in the present day climate as long they are run properly and ethically. My gripe is that several contributors are insinuating that Per Gullestrup was the real financial backer of WLP. I verily believe this not to be so. His daughter had the misfortune in marrying OL. The company registry states that Messrs Larholt and Chapple resigned – no, I think they were pushed and a new management was put in place with the hope of saving the company. However it would appear that the damage done by Messrs Larholt and Chapple was un-repairable so a decision was made to put the company into administration which is also well documented on the web. I hope the above gives you some insight, with other words don’t blame PG and his daughter. You have no doubt Googled both OL and PG. Both have extensive entries. I challenge you to find any entry for PG which is in any way derogatory. If you do I’ll buy you a pint in The Albion Best DC PS Can you let me have the name of the ’new Company’ please, as I have no knowledge of it
  12. Hi Renegrade You may recall that I asked you to provide proof of the allegation of financial improprieties other that those committed by the Larholt gang previously claimed by you and others. Can you please let us have these allegations out in the open. I know Larholt is not the most honest person in the business world but to tar his ex-wife and her father with the same brush is just not on. Best wishes DC:clap2:
  13. Yes, I'm a new poster on this BB as I only discovered it recently. However, I have followed the antics of Oliver Larholt and his cronies on other boards for nearly 3 years now. What made me incensed was to read allegations of financial misconduct by the Gullestrups. If you and your fellow contributors have otherwise proof of any improprieties have the courage to let the board have the details. That is if you can. By the way I had the dubious 'honour' of being invited to OL's wedding.
  14. If you know and 'have proof', let's have it!!!! You only need to google Gullestrup and you will see that this person is beyond reproach.
  15. As I have said elsewhere you're wrong!!!!! Your assumptions are very 'dangerous' may even be libellous so be careful
  16. You are talking utter rubbish. PG is straight as a die and a very tough businessman, fair, but he takes no prisoners
  17. You are barking up the wrong tree. I think they are just trying to get rid of a bad egg.
