  1. How did your appointment go today? Was she happy with what u wrote in your work booklet?
  2. Same here im on my 34th week now but four weeks ago my advisor said i have 6 weeks to find my own voluntary work or hes putting me forward for community work placement but then two weeks later (the last time i saw him) he said hes going to another jobcentre so im going to be getting a new advisor and also a letter saying my area Region will be moving over to universal credit in july so it might all change when i go to sign on this coming tuesday with my new MIR advisor
  3. Yes but if u read further it is buisness as usual until you reach 26 weeks of post work program support then it is at the discrestion of your advisor if you go to daily work search reviews or Community work placement
  4. Yes thats right log in daily apply for as many jobs as u can then write them in your booklet aswel
  5. Also does it make a difference for universal credit as my area region is changin from jsa over to universal credit in july
  6. What is the guidence to the previous post work program support? As i left the work programme last september?
  7. Well it will all be online in 2015 coz they are replacing the jobpoints in jobcentre with computers so those on jsa who say they cnt use computer or get access to one will have to attend jobcentres for jobsearch coz anything written down wont be valid evidence of job search
  8. yes i use the whole page every week sayin every job i have applied for
  9. yes i write every job i have applied for in it every week even one that are saved on UJ and any cvs i have sent out to companies i normaly fill a whole box in the work book each week so when i sign on i have 2 pages of jobsearch written down
  10. It was a bit different back in 2009 basically they Would pay the candidates benefits for the first 4 or 6 weeks of employment of a 12 week probationary period before the company had to then start paying them a wage
  11. Yes i knew about it - it started in 2009 when i was working an i rang the jobcentre to post an advert for the company i worked for and they told me bout it on phne an booked an appointment for me at the local jcp to tell me bout it in more detail - its a good incentive but they send an inspector to the buisness an it ment the company would have to have all proceedures and paper work squeeky clean coz we were a small company we didnt have an HR department or anythin so we decided the scheme could cause us more work and problems than it would solutions
  12. I was told 12 to 18 hours per week would be acceptable and he recomended to try 12 hours over 2 days coz u are still expected to do jobsearch
  13. If u google "Do - it " website you should be able to find a website that has a list of your local charities lookin for volunteer's
  14. I had 3 weeks to find my voluntary work left but here in Wirral we have bout 4 very small jobcentres and one Massive one in Birkenhead Town centre which has four floors and everybody frm the smaller local jcp offices that finish work program all got sent to the big jobcentre in Birkenhead for Post work program support as all the staff on the top floor are trained to only deal with people who are long term unemployed but last month the local government have pushed us forward to become part of universal credit which is post code based and so what i got told is the advisors from the main jobcentre in town who deal with post work program are being split up and sending one or two out to each small local jcp office so im now going back to signin on at my local jcp in our village so things might change if i hav a new advisor or the one i had in town could get sent here by coinsidence in which case my situation wont change but either way if you finish the Work Programme your better off finding your own voluntary work that you dont mind doing before they send u on a madatory work scheme where u cant choose what it is u do
  15. after the work program i had my jobsearch increased from 10 jobs per week to at least 20 per week and had to go to jobcentre once a week for 6 weeks then after that i got told i had 4 weeks to find my own voluntary work placement or they would put me on a mandatory work scheme which could be anythin frm working in a Garbage Recycling Plant, bag packing in tesco or Litter Picking and General up keep at a public place or building including things like cleaning benches/shelters and removal of Graffiti
  16. Yes i went on a 2 day course with reed 10am to 3pm was pointless just told u what is expected when u go for interview etc and draft u a new cv which is the one i use now as its a really good cv to be fair
  17. Oh and no in 3 years its supposed to be accross the country universal credit started rolling out last year in Wigan and early this year St Helens and in march it was Knowsley in Liverpool and by july it starts in Wirral
  18. Yes she is but wirral is split into a few different mps and mine isnt her thank god my part of wirral is a Lib Dem MP
  19. my local jobcentre sent me there coz all the staff that deal with post work programme are at the big jobcentre in the town centre its the same with other small jobcentres as i spoke to a woman who had also been sent frm her local office but now they are rolling out universal credit in our area they are sending one or 2 staff from the team that delt with pwps at the main jobcentre in town an placing them in smaller jobcentre in the district
  20. Dnt know what to make of that but at least i get to go back to going to my local jobcentre in the village rather than the massive one all the way in the town centre
  21. Just been told today when i signed on that i can go back to signing at my local jobcentre as people in wirral who finishd wp had to go to the main jobcentre for wirral in birkenhead which is a huge jcp over 4 floors the top floor dedicated to post work programme only but now the staff from there are being split up and sent to all smaller local jobcentres accross Wirral under New Reforms as Wirral has be chosen to change over To Universal Credit in July
  22. I think we should let each other know what area are job centres that we attend are in so we can see what areas things are being implemented in and which are not - i attend a jobcentre in Wirral near Liverpool and Chester
  23. do u mind me asking what part of the country is your jobcentre?
