  1. Judging frm the council polls it looks likely that Labour will be in power but maybe having to share with ukip in order to gain the required majority vote which means whole sale changes to the back to work schemes but possibly for the better coz my older brother went on them in the late 90's and they were run by local council staff giving the jobless a chance to learn a trade my brother chose gardening and landscaping frm things like painting an decorating, and office admin work to kitchen staff and these were all to recognised qualifications like City and Guilds that my brother did - coz Labour dont mind spending that little extra on decent back to work schemes in order to help get long term unemployed back into work - ok it does mean working for your benefits at first but a minnimum wage job is not that much more anyway not for a young single person with my own flat like me anyway
  2. thanks for the reply im 28 i have never claimed DLA before and im at post work program support
  3. Does anybody know how to move from jsa to esa? I have asthma and it has become increasingly worse over the last 18mnths due to stress and other health problems and find it difficult even walking 100 yards without stopping to use my inhaler i also suffer with depression an my family an a friend feel if i spoke to sumbody i would likely be signed off but ive always been to proud to go an talk about it coz i dnt like the thought of people thinkin i would do anythin not to have a job an go to work so ive just let it go on an i wouldnt know how to start the ball rolling anyway who do i speak to first ? Jobcentre plus ? Ring Dwp? Or Go to My Doctor first ? Any Help Would be Much Appreciated thanks
  4. No they arnt sending anybody back to work program because of the New Scheme coming into play which is similar to the mandatary works scheme (MWS) For Everybody who has been claiming jsa for 3 years or more basically it is still being drawn up but MWS was either a period Of 6 Weeks Mandatary Voluntary Work Full time (30 hours a week) or 12 Weeks Part Time Mandatary Work Placement (3 Days per week plus 1 day for Job Search - Depending on your needs and placements depending on what is available in your area so it could be doing various roles from charity shop work to litter picking or bag packing at tesco- the new scheme comes into play 1st April 2014 and will replace Post Work Program Support any claiment due to finish pwps before then will have it extended to April 2014
  5. Also after 3 month my post work program advisor says coz he is happy with my cv and jobsearch a fortnightly attendance will suffice
  6. My local jobcentre in wirral is small they moved me to the large main head office jobcentre for wirral in birkenhead for Post Work Program -everybody on the wirral is the same they all get sent frm the local jcp with 3 or 4 computers to the main one birkenhead where the council offices are and its got 3 floors and the top floor deals only with ESA post work program and work program signing days
  7. Yes it look like you stay at post work programme support until april then you go on to the MWS (mandatory work scheme) doing voluntary work for 12 weeks but it depends on how many hours u will be given as if you only do 1 or 2 days a week the jobcentre will expect u able to do sufficient jobsearch so u could be on MWS for upto 6 months then after that you just repeat the process with pwps until the Labour party get bk in power in 2015 an change it all again
  8. Yes this is the scheme George Osbourne Anounced at Conservative Party Conference -its just a slight twist from a scheme of what some Area's of the Country Piloted in the Spring Called the MWS- Mandatory Work Scheme Which lasts for 12 weeks then my guess is if you complete that you go back to 6 months pwps and repeat the process over until you either get a job or get a long term doctors note which is normaly 12 weeks then when u go back to jsa you start at the very beginning when you first signed on -i know coz it started in wales over a year ago an my sister was at wp after finding it hard to get a job after raising a family on her own -she had a nervous breakdown which caused a panic attack and a massive asthmah attack and had to be injected with adrenalin then she got signed off for 12 weeks but went back after 10 and they said she starts again as a new jsa claimant
  9. Does anybody know what is the process when you finish post work programme support? Apparantly it only last 26 week an ive already done 8 plus i have christmas aswel so im only doin 25 weeks so after this week ive got 16 weeks left the weekly appointments at the jc are flying by but what happens next ????
  10. Does anybody know what the process is after the 6 months of post work programme support finishes? Coz my local jcp in Hoylake Wirral doesnt deal with pwps and have sent me To the larger Jcp in birkenhead for my 6 months of pwps its also the same for other claimant who sign on at the other small jcp offices around wirral
  11. I had my first interview after wp and i have to apply for 10 jobs per week until i have a ujm set up then he said he gave me a jsd to attend at least 2 sessions with the "out reach team" at my local library and when i went today it was a guy frm the national carreers advice service and one guy who works part time in my jcp an plonked at least 100 print outs frm jcp jobpoints and also helpd me load my cv onto uj an brief explanation how to use it next week he said once im up an going to the out reach team he wants 20-25 actions to find work each week these can include search local newspapers, actual jobs applied for using uj and other sites also random c.v drops
