  1. Thanks for your reply Emmzzi, no there isn't a mobility clause but I have a written agreement from the former MD who agreed that the company would pay my accommodation / expenses instead of giving me an allowance. I would have never have accepted the position under the conditions that they propose to enforce. Regards Zohan
  2. Hi just wondering if anyone can offer me any advice on what to do about unfair conditions been forced on me by employer? I have been working for approx. 18 months, as a manager for a company that has its HQ in the Midlands, when I joined the company I took on a national role for which the company paid my accommodation and meal expenses via a Business account they hold with a National chain of Hotels. Approx. 12 months ago the company offered me a promotion for which I would be required to work at their head office 2-3 days a week and continue to pay my accommodation costs and expenses, when working at HQ and visiting the companies other UK sites. I live approx. 120 miles away from HQ office. It was also agreed that I could work from home 1 - 2 days a week when not visiting other sites. There has been a recent change in management and I now have a new Boss who called me in last week to say that the company would not allow me to work from home anymore so I have to be at the HQ office when not visiting other sites and they will not pay my Accommodation / Expenses when working at HQ. My new boss also suggested that I permanently relocate my family to live near HQ (which is not possible) I have an e-mail from my previous manager who has now left the company outlining that the company would agree to pay all my business accommodation costs (and a copy of this agreement is on my HR file). I cannot afford to pay accommodation and expenses of this proportion, do I have a case to issue a grievance against the company? Any advice on what to do next will be gratefully received? Regards Zohan

  4. Please can you provide email address for OFT
  5. I defaulted on a £400 loan with minicredit 6 weeks ago and they have escalated it to £1194 as per the breakdown that they supplied to me when I requested it: Microcredit Ltd is confirming that we accept the amount of £1192 as a full and final settlement repayable under a payment plan £70 per month with our debt recovery partner Opos Limited from March 2013. The total settlement balance £1192 consists of the original loan amount £400, interest £612 added up to default date 23/05/2013, the overdue penalties of £80 and the debt recovery fee £100. The contractual interest rate is 1% of the principal per day from the date of issuing until default date the 120th day overdue. The first overdue penalty of £25 was added on the 24th of January 2013, the second overdue penalty of £55 was added on the 26th of January 2013 and the debt recovery fee £100 will be added on the 22nd of February 2013. I did attempt to make token payment and set up repayment plan but they refused, I have also completed their hardship form. OPOS have been trying to contact me for 2 days now and I not replied yet as I have been trying to work out how best to handle them.? I propose to repay them 9 payments of £70 (£630) standing order which I think is all I owe them: original loan plus interest and one default payment. Then I will cancel standing orders and tell them to whistle for the rest as they are unlawful charges. Does any one think this strategy will work and is it lawful?
  6. Has anyone had experience of completing Minicredit's hardship application form? I have completed one and sent it to them and am currently waiting for them to get back to me. I'm hoping that they will accept my proposed payment plan? Does this process work???
  7. Just to share an update of my progress, I took your advice and e-mailed UB a copy of my own I/E budget plan and propsosed repayment plan - I didn't send copies of Bank Statements or Pay-slips. UB have now replied and have agreed to my repayment plan, so its a good result for me as I thought that getting a repayment plan was going to take considerable time with UB! Thanks to all who have replied to this thread. Zohan1967
  8. Received my 1st threatening text from Minicredit today: We would like to remind you that your MiniCredit overdue loan balance is £852.00. If we are unable to recover full amount within next 10 days we'll send Your account to THE DOORSTEP COLLECTOR and You will incur extra costs. We may also start legal action against You. We also report the status of Your outstanding account to Credit reference agencies. All this process affects your credit score adversely and ability to receive credit in the future.
  9. Hi I'm trying to set up a repayment plan with good old Uncle Buck I owe them £600 and have offered to repay them back at £70 per month providing that they freeze interest and further charges. UB have sent me an email from "Plandeal collections" requesteing me to fill in a CFS / personal budget form that is 14 pages long with a lot of intrusive questions. They have also asked me to send a copy of my Bank Statement and Payslips (which I have no intention of supplying to them!). I want to negotiate a repayment plan with them, I think that my pro-rata proposal is fair, however I dont want to be made to"jump through hoops" with excessive form filling or supply them with personal /financial data. Any advice on how I should respond, also has anyone else had similar dealings with PLANDEAL COLLECTIONS ( I presume this is UB's in house collection team?)
  10. I have also found txtloan to be helpful so far as well, even CFO have been cooperative which was a surprise because I have read a lot o bad stuff about them also! Just out of interest how long did you go without paying Minicredit before they started threatening doorstep collections etc?
  11. I've set up standing orders to repay by monthly instalments with: Txtloan, 24-7 moneybox, CFO, YES, THL, without any problems just e-mailed them told them my circumstances and made pro-raga offers based on. 9 monthly payments that I can afford. Just need to do the same with Uncle Buck and Minicredit now ! Zohan1967
  12. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to respond to me some good advice and comforting to know that I am not alone! Would be interested to know if anyone has had a successful outcome with Minicredit and other PD lenders? Zohan1967
  13. Thanks for the advice on what I should / should not disclose, I also have a I/E to complete for Uncle Buck and they have requested copies of my Bank statements and Pay-slips, but I have no intention of providing either of these. I think I read on another CAG posting that they come under the Data Protection Act? Cheers Zohan1967
  14. How long since you defaulted / how long have you been trying? I too plan only to pay original balance, 1 month interest and default fee, also have you / anyone received the same correspondence as me??
  15. School boy error me posting it in the wrong forum Thanks for moving it ploddertom. B R Zohan1967
