Hi, I'm just a bit in front of you, my prelim runs out on sat and all I've had is a standard letter back with complaints booklet. So it looks like lba going on sat. As for closing account obviously I haven't got that far but they do seem to be closing some down. I think majority have stayed open though but its a good idea to get a parachute account opened else where just in case. Good Luck.

They did the same with me. I asked for 6 yrs but got 4. When I complained and asked for other 2 yrs they said they were sending them but I received the same 4 yrs worth. Am still waiting for the other 2 yrs. Useless they are!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I'm aware, and i'm sure someone will correct me if im wrong, but under the dpa the maximum they can charge is £10. This is probably another one of their tactics to stop people claiming their charges back. Good Luck with your claim and keep us all posted.

Received letter today saying they are sorry i have found cause for complaint and that they are glad i have given them the opportunity to explain the charges they have applied. Also, i'm still waiting for some more statements which it says on letter that thay have arranged for them to be sent out to me ( yeah, whatever). Shall I now send my LBA or wait till the deadline on Saturday? Thanks

Update: Received statements on 26th but 2 years missing so I emailed them and received a letter two days later saying they acknowledge my letter requesting specific information blah blah blah. Sent prelim off on 30th June for £3663.00 (£1200 est) and have heard nothing but today got home and a big pile of statements were waiting for me. Only thing is the silly blighters have sent me the same statements all over again and with the 2 years still missing!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! If I still don't get my 2 years missing statements by the time prelim runs out can I still send a LBA with an estimated balance?? I est £1200 because when I split statements into years it averages out at £500-£600 per year. Thanks

Sent DPA on 21st June. Rec'd lettery today saying ' Thanks for your recent request for copy statements. The information you have requested is no longer held on our systems and therefore, an administration fee is required. The fee will be as follows:- £5.00 for 1 monthly statement which has been archived. £10.00 for multiple monthly statements which have been archived.'' Also, there is an 'Authorisation Request for Account Transaction Statement' form for me to sign. What do I do next?

Have you tried sending them an email? I seem to have had a better response from doing that. I emailed them last tues and rec'd statements today ( 2 yrs missing though). This year alone I've been charged £590 so looking forward to gatting it back!!! Good Luck and keep us posted.

yes you can claim the cleared transaction charge
