Ill get onto those tonight or tomorrow, you done really well in saying what you have been through, so a major pat on the back is deserved. I'm chuffed with the bathroom blind, small steps and all ! See, were getting there. You dont need to say anymore about what you have been through, got a picture, but if it helps to release it, then by all means do. Only tingy knows what my wife through, so he knows why i fought and am still fighting a leading bank so hard lol

Thanks Ellenn I'll give it a go and get her kids and family friends to have a word, considering they know her better than me lol. Do you think she would be forced to sell through court considering the house is to big just for 2 people, this is what i think as all that room is not needed and so the courts will not allow it

Hi Jellycubes, Please do not worry about he doorstop collectors, did Tingy manage to write those letters for you and get them sent to them?, If not, just say and i'll do it for you. I know it must be really hard to wirte down your illness, my wife just couldnt do it either, so pm me symptoms, conditions and how and why it started and i'll type them and send them off if you want me to. Jellycubes, you are NOT a moaner and must not think of such, tingy did say it does go quiet on here at times, so do not worry. Were all in this to help. If they knock on your door again, just shout "go away and i'll be writing letters of complaints" that will make you eel better when you shout at them lol. Try and open the blinds in another room like the kitchen or bedroom bathroom etc, i know its really difficult for you but were sure you can do it, my wife was exactly the same and even begged me to help her go ! (if you know what i mean). So must of us have been in this position before and know how to help.

claiming back any unfair charges will be difficult as they did win in court last year, however they did lose the ppi in the courts so there not alot of hard work to go into that

Bit of a strange one, debt gone due to bankruptcy, can i claim?
matt5983 replied to matt5983's topic in Lloyds Bank
Just found out that if i receive any ppi refunds that were connected to any debts from my bankruptcy even after discharge they can still ask for it. -
Hi Ellenn, I knew you were gonna answer soon lol, i think the mortgage has about 3-4 years left on it, the house is worth about 200k, but only has 20k left to pay.

Do they really, i havn't heard that before, how would it work with regards to joint accounts? -
My mother in law has suffered with a severe mental illness for years, but its just got to bad now, lostt all income and only gets 2 pensions. She has 2 debts, one a 20k mortgage and the other 12k unsecured loan, after doing the I&E paying the priority bills is fine, however they have nothing left for the loan at all. Where do i stand with regards to the house being in danger etc matt

DMP and F&F - is it a case of either or?
matt5983 replied to trickyvickytavvy's topic in Debt management and Debt self-help
I had this issue many months ago, from what i can remember if you payed off the smaller DCA's via F&F then yes it will be a help to yourselves, trouble is if the bigger debts find out what you have done they can get nasty and refuse all offers and take legal action in which a judge wouldn't see that you have acted fairly. However, this is if you get found out lol. Other option is to do it sequanci's way and make them all an offer via a pro-rata payment, if some accept then great, if some refuse then tough on them and keep them on a DMP -
Agree with sequneci, with regards to your belongings or a repo, your along way off with that (need to attend court, then lose, then they apply for warrant and if granted then yes, but its a long way off) saying that im not as sure as theres a house that you have, some more knowledgable people then me will know........... You will get the standered threats etc and thats all they are until you do actually have to attend court, but like i said thats along way off. There is alot of people on here who know the ins and outs of the law so please do not worry, just start with the letters and token payments and see what happens. But be prepared for some nasty letters to come through the post and never call them and keep all correspondence in writing, make sure you keep a copy of what you send them as well.

The official reciever who would be in charge of your DRO would look into your car, however if it is £1000 or below they dont take any notice as thats one of the criteria. You say about getting a pay rise, as long as you are in the 12 month period from the start date you will need to inform them, i have heard some people dont tell them and they might get away with it, but if you get found out you can get into alot of trouble, however if your payrise is only small say upto £100 a month, then try and lose it in the expenditure (outgoings) so your only still left with say £50 surplus, so if would be fine then

Council Tax Arrears
matt5983 replied to StupidMe's topic in Local Authority, Council Tax and Business Rates Issues
In my opinion you just need to be openly honest about it give them a ring and start off by saying you would like to report a change of circumstances etc and go from there, someone else will be along shortly -
letter is just threats, please do not worry...........someone will be along in a bit with a lot more info

My wife went on a fairly new wonder drug called mirtazipine , she was on seltalopram after getting PND and was coming off then when things took a turn for the first, they got upped to the maximum and 4 weeks later no difference, after the 4th time of being in hospital as she had enough (you know what i mean) a CPN said to try mirtazipine, went doc's thurs and was put on straight a way at 15mg, was told if no improvement by sat put it up to 30mg, which we did and the doc wanted to see her on tues, we took her tues and her mood had changed dramatically but still having highs but more lows, so she was put upto the max of 45mg, and within 3 days she was back with us. She had been very ill for over 3 years but only had mirtazipine for under a year as they worked that well, but for some reason they also work very quickly.

Your doing really great jellycubes, remember that the tablets do take a while kick in and you'll start feeling better soon. You've got the right support behind with the people on here and by the sounds of it mental health team, if you want any help with them including asking for for different types of medication then let me know, im very good at this as it's how i got my wife through it. Just remember, you and your son come first and everyone else is below you lol. Matt
