  1. Just how deluded are you? Higher Court? Were you thinking Old Bailey or somewhere higher? You really are deluded if you think a court is going to listen to an appeal about a straightfoward matter such as an unenforecable invoice that they have already had to waste valuable court time on, let me know how you get on because I will start charging my neighbours £100 a day for living next door to them or perhaps £1000 a week for not letting my dog take a crap on their front lawn. Really Peternet it is time for you to get a real job and contribute something to society except toilet paper.
  2. Just a thought but do Council Parking Attendants use cameras to take photos of the offence? If so maybe on checking the photo the correct reg number will be noted and the letters could find their way to the OP? If it was me I would hold on to it as evidence to show that it wasn't issued to your vehicle, the incorrect documentation would always be a losing point for the Council in court.
  3. I think the OP has handled him/herself well and argued a point with what sounds like a typically arrogant young plod. The points made about him being a BMW driver are irrellevant and I usually expect better from this site. I don't agree with the offence however, it is clearly an offence to have altered one's numberplate from the standard so the OP should have accepted the roadside FPN and possibly considered the 'be quiet and humble' approach even when talking to a know it all officer. I once had a youngish copper pull me out from a line of traffic (I was on a motorcycle) and try the old 'I know your face don't I' line, to which I replied 'You may well do as I have just left an all day meeting with Chief Constable XXX at Scotland Yard, it's possible you saw us in the canteen whilst we were having lunch' - all true, I had been there on a exercise from the Ambulance Service to discuss tactics and options for a London event. His face was a picture and his mate even laughed at him and took the pee, saying 'You won't try that one again will you' I just got back on my bike and ignored anything else he said, nodded to the older copper and rode away. They are people just like us and make mistakes and have good and bad moods like us, I think the OP did well not to let the uniform intimidate but could have managed it better by judging the character he/she was dealing with before taking the direction he/she did.
  4. Are you certain this is a council issued parking ticket? Have you read the name of the issuing party on the PCN?
  5. I had the same ticket and responded the same way to ParkingEye, had exactly the same letters as you and then heard nothing, they are toothless and they know it
  6. Mainly because he just admitted it in post #28 on this thread with an even more outrageous claim/rant/lie. The OP just needs to ignore this berk and he will go away like the rest of the bottom feeding PPC losers. Devere was indeed the posh couple in To The Manor Born, methinks Lee has delusions of grandeur
  7. You are Lee, the owner, operator, manager, debt collector, chief cook & bottle washer, office junior and dogsbody of yet another cowboy outfit known as Devere Parking and I claim my five pounds. Did you really think your ridiculous rant would be enough to convince anyone to cough up their hard earned money What's the matter Lee, don't you like it when someone gains your personal details and reg number and uses them without your permission? Congratulations, you can go and sit in the corner with the stupid hat on for the rest of the week.
  8. Do not pay Parking Eye 'invoices' and don't bother contacting them, just ignore and they will eventually get bored of sending you their junk mail. I had a ticket from them about 2 months ago and I sent a letter declaring I wasn't the driver (I wasn't) and they they had no reason to contact me again, they still did and they sent me a standard 'your appeal has been unsuccesful letter', what appeal?! I wrote back saying I had not appealed there was no debt and they were not to contact me again. They sent another begging letter telling me I will have to pay as the registered keeper of the vehicle is responsible (utter drivel) and I sent back a cease and desist letter and have heard nothing since. Anything else they send me will be ignored and I only sent them letters in the first place to see how much of a personal response I could get, I've pretty much proved they don't even bother to read any letters you send and just go through their standard junk mail until they get a result or you refuse to be intimidated and they go away. So ignore them and don't be intimidated by their blustering and threatening letters, they have no legal rights to force you to pay their invoice and they will go away.
  9. Private parking company, safe to ignore and remember to ignore all the letters, do not make contact no matter how threatening they get, read a few threads on here and you'll get the idea.
  10. Hi, did your sister in law have a valid parking ticket or ensured she had not breached the PPC 'rules' when she was clamped? If so then I'm pretty sure the clamper acted illegally and you should inform the police (though probably won't amount to much) or be prepared to take action to get your money back. If she was parked without a ticket or in breach of their 'rules' then it's a lesson learned and nothing more as he clamper can only clamp on the property they are contracted to work on and only then if a car is parked without having met all of their 'rules'. The answer is to ensure that she is parked legally in that car park or doesn't use it at all in the future. Some of those with more legal knowledge may be along to advise you further but I'm sure that the clamper's threat to clamp whenever he sees her car is an empty one.
