  1. It can often take 3-5 days for the MCOL to be acknowledged so don't fret!
  2. I can't think that for one minute that this is legal the accounts a bound by different agreements and I am sure they can't just transfer from one to another unless you have a direct debit set up.
  3. You could also send it here as all roads lead to this one: Colin Langdale Senior Service Quality Officer HSBC Bank Plc Arlington Business Centre Millshaw Park Lane Leeds LS11 0PP

  6. My post will remain unopened until I get back on friday but I will still be visiting here as I have internet access all the way!
  7. It would be nice to get it tomorrow before I fly on Sunday. Anyone know how many of us have filed an AQ and are now waiting for HSBC to file or give up?? Once this is all settled I think I will write to HSBC and DG about the way they mess people around as we all know they are going to pay up eventually!!!
  8. once the MCOL is filed you can't be late anymore as you could risk having your case struck out by the courts
  9. Here are a couple of links on the AQ paperwork. Chances are you will need a printer particularly if you are going to use the new Section G strategy. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/11644-allocation-questionnaires-guide-completion.html http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/53570-new-strategy-allocation-questionaires.html?highlight=strategy
  10. I don't think that anyone has had a problem with this as the banks don't want to go to court so the have to accept that we won't sign up to the confidentiality clauses
  11. Lets hope so I am off to india in a few days so would love to have it sorted before that otherwise I'll have to wait another week!!!
  12. Checked with the court today HSBC still have not filed their AQ and this has now been refered to the judge. I was told that the judge may well give HSBC another 7 days to file. Oh well!!!
  13. my only comment would be to leave the calculation out and just put the total daily rate.
  14. Great glad to help you get the letter right. This will all work out ok in the end and we will all learn some stuff on the way!!
  15. JaneyKate I think you may have made a mistake on the daily interest rate the £ 0.00022.x on the MCOL thread is a multiplier so I would calculate your daily rate of interest to be around £1.58
  16. Have fun looking through them I guarantee that you won't be so pleased to see the charges mounting up when you realise that you will get it all back
  17. I agree to be gentle with them too Netty
  18. JaneyKate I assume that the daily rate of interest is a mistype as it won't add up to very much no matter how long they take to settle!!!!
  19. The key thing is to read Netty's post above. What you can't do is claim back all the interest on your overdraft only the component of that interest that comes from the charges. There is a special spreadsheet to work this out and can be quite complicated. However I am assuming that you aren't claiming £1700+ in interest so is the £2k offer all the charges you are owed back?
  20. You can speed things up a bit by viewing your statements on HSBC's online banking if you have access. Use this to calculate your charges for the period you are interested in and then fill them in on the spreadsheet to work out the total you are owed. You can then continue with the Prelim letter etc. You still need to get the statements however in the unlikely event that you end up in court so don't let that slip. Good luck

  22. seems like everyone is letting off steam tonight or building it up I can't decide which!!!
  23. Is your claim in the court process can you let us know exactly where you are up to so we can help?
  24. Oh I pressed on you have to let the banks know you are serious and stick to your own timescales they on the other hand would love to drag it all out as long as possible in the hope that you will make a mistake or give up!!
