  1. hi Magda I'll see what I can do re pm Steven4064 thanks for all your advice - it's much appreciated S
  2. Hi Magda how detailed does this Defence need to be? I need to get all the high level points in but don't really know how much detail I need to go into at this stage. thanks S
  3. another request for assistance I'm afraid does anyone know how to use Dualcalc to check interest rates/balances? I've managed to download the program but I've gone cross eyed trying to understand it and the 'help' notes. (it's like a foreign language to me)
  4. Zhan not sure if you are aware but the agreement number is showing on your document regards S
  5. morning exasperated this is interesting but I can't offer advice I'm afraid as I'm a bit of a novice myself. Is the agreement number exactly the same on the letter and the supposed agreement?
  6. morning Magda thanks for the clarification on the word 'not' I believe that the amount of the arrears was correct but the balance was not. never mind - it just adds to the confusion I will crack on with my defence and post it for feedback as you suggest S
  7. morning B I used the template suggested by Slick in Post 36 in this thread (may be post 32 or close to it but if I go back and check I'll lose this update) I received an annual statement from them a few days ago. They are not adding interest (that stopped a few months ago) but they are strangely adding PPI payments which of course I'm not paying.
  8. hello again question relating to PPI. The Egg loan agreement disputed on this thread includes PPI. The bulk of the loan advance was used to repay an existing Egg loan which also included PPI. many thanks in advance
  9. hi this may be a silly question (apologies in advance but I have had a couple of glasses of vino) What is the important figure on a Default Notice? is it the amount of arrears or the amount they say will be payable if the default is not remedied within the time period? many thanks in advance
  10. hi I've been logging into the forum, reading posts then logging out again!. I've finally got some time to get my defence together. I'll base it on your draft Magda so thanks very much I'll be back
  11. morning Magda if you could find somethng for me to work from that would be fantastic yes they did add interest. thanks again S
  12. hi Ron I sent my 31.14 request at the beginning of February and received an acknowledgement a month later then the documents about two weeks ago! Drydens also responded at the end of July to a letter sent to them in January. I wouldn't be too concerned about the lack of response as it seems to be par for the course. The court will absolutely agree that you need to see the documentation and have time to review and prepare a defence so I would just wait and see.
  13. good evening I've received a lot of information but asked for documents/notes that are not on the system as they only sent me system generated stuff. The DN is fine. I don't think that there were any charges added to the account as I never missed a payment until I couldn't afford to pay. I'm just getting a tiny bit fractious about the defence structure but I'll scout around the forum and see what I can pick up. thanks lots S
  14. evening Magda an R&B I really appreciate your input. I will do as you suggest Magda and pm PT. This Egg Loan issue has been ongoing and I have to put in a fairly detailed defence. I have some information but have asked for more detail and expect that to be forthcoming in a timely manner!
  15. morning all I need to have my defence ready in a couple of weeks could anyone point me to a defence for an Egg agreement that was unenforceable for the same reasons that mine is unenforceable? thanks in advance
  16. good afternoon Slick many thanks for your comments. I think that's a sensible approach and the only thing that I need to check is whether they have registered anything with the Credit Reference Agencies. It's not urgent at the moment though - I've got Egg and others to sort out yet
  17. hi it's been quite some time since I posted on this thread as I have been so busy on others I sent the letter on 14th April 2009 and, to date, haven't received any response at all. I don't get chase calls or letters either so not sure what I ought to do next. any suggestions so that this can be closed off (how nice would that be lol) best regards
  18. hi I've been reading as much as possible on the site in order to build an effective defence. ONe question relating to Data Protection request lots of people seem to have received 'internal' documents, notes etc with their request but I've got a mountain of paperwork but it's all copy statements, agreements and screen prints. Should I be asking for the rest of the information even though I don't know precisely what is missing? any suggestion on what to request from the solicitor would be useful many thanks
  19. hi Ron I'm afraid that I didn't submit an embarrassed defence - I simply wrote to the Court and asked that a Judge review my request and he did and the claim was stayed. Not sure that would work for everyone but it certainly did for me. It's a loan agreement that is in dispute regards
  20. hi Pompey congratulations! I do hope he's well and not too shocked by his early entrance.
  21. hi Ron I had a similar position with Egg/Drydens and the court stayed the case until they provided the information requested good luck
  22. hi M fyi if you go to Quick Links at the top and then select Subscribed Threads it will show you any threads that you have posted on. that way you won't lose track of any of your threads best of luck
  23. hi, is this an Allocation Hearing? if so, any advice on what to prepare? (sorry for asking the same questions repeatedly - I must be deaf )
