Ok i am not here to convert anybody or force ideas on anyone. I read a lot about people complaining about the banks greed and the government that does not listen. My grandad has been telling me for years and trying to educate me. I was reading through the manifesto of the socialist party here Socialist Party manifesto - and i have to say i agree with everything that thy stand for. As an ex soldier i admit i was brain washed on their views of the socialist way, and that we would end up like Russia and lined up against the walls and shot for having an opinion. Now, i have opened my eyes, we can stop the fat cats who get richer and give the working class their rights. Like i said, i am not here to convert anybody, but i can see there is an alternative to the parties that do not listen. All views and opinions appreciated.

I know this is a big ask, but is there anybody willing to have a look at the SAR that i have and all the complaints if i send them to them? Just so i know i am not going mad (Barclays making me feel i am)

I am not on benefits, i work as a contract SDH engineer. I have made a complaint to the FOS verbal and in writing (copies kept) and have also done the same with Barclays head office customer relations.

I will be following the advice given. Today i received correspondence from Barclays stating that the account is terminated (see if they have better luck in this than me) and that my debit card/cheque is to be handed in and that my credit rating will be affected. This all relates to the account with fraudulent activity on it. I cant even begin to explain how fuming i am.

Unbelievable!!!! i just received a phone call from Barclays collections. They said my account (the one which should have been closed down) is overdrawn by £1500 (and when i had that account that was the overdraft) they said it needs to be settled. I was furious, i said do you lot actually talk to each other? i explained that i settled the account so it could be closed an a new one opened. And that my account is and always has been in order and is sufficiently in credit. The answer i was given was that they could hold it off whilst i go into the branch (which ive done and am getting nowhere) and sort it out. Im fuming, i can not believe the audacity and stupidity of this bank.

I live in Huddersfield, the old account was never closed in the first place (just like to clear that up) when i transferred money to that account for it to be closed (on the advice of the branch staff) they told me it was closed there and then. But now they are saying it could not be closed because there was money waiting to come n to that account. Very strange considering that every other bill/dd/pay managed to find its way to the new account but this supposed rogue payment couldn't. I have noticed on the sar that when complaints have been made by myself, and i HAVE sent the relevant info thy needed (recorded) it has been marked down as resolved and not the banks fault, even though they have lost the info that i sent.

UPDATE Ok i had to submit a SAR to get all the information that Barclays have on me, now, what would be my next course of action? do i inform the bank that i am going to be contacting the media regarding this, or just go ahead and do it? or would the banking ombudsman be an option? sorry for the lateness in the update but i have been working abroad.

When watchdog were doing a program about the banks and fraud a few weeks ago, i did write in through their web page, but did not hear anything back. I appreciate the sheer volume of emails they have to go through, would it be worth getting in touch again, and maybe local newspapers? im not sure if national newspapers would be interested.

Ok so here is an update. Eventually my case has been looked in to. I received a call from someone in the specialist investigation part of Barclays fraud, she informed me that they will have to send me an affidavit and i am to sign it with a witness. I was also told they that as some of the transactions are from an ATM whilst i was in possession of the card then it will take a while to look through all the transactions to get to the bottom of it. She also said that they can tell whether a card has been cloned (dont ask me how) overall i got the impression that they do not believe that i am telling the truth, i am fuming, i have been absolutely messed around by Barclays and i think they are trying to pass the blame. I even said what about the amount of times ive sent the proper paperwork in (with a witness and took names times of the paperwork faxed within their branch) and they still lost the paperwork. I am not at all happy at the way i have been treated and this is nearly a year later. What else can i do?

Do a google search of this absolute p155 poor excuse for an ISP, i was with them myself a year ago. They tried all this with me, i requested a mac code, and stated that by law they have to, don't listen to their excuse of having to do it through the member console (which incidentally didn't work when i was with them ) ill try and dig up the info on a forum dedicated to how poor fast4 actually are. My apologies if this is in the wrong section, but i could not see anywhere else where this would be apt. I am currently working as a contractor in Guernsey and my pay gets invoiced by me to the company then paid out under the umbrella company (ibalance) this is the first time for me being paid this way as up until recently i have been serving in the army. Now basically im hoping to rack peoples brains to see what i can add to offset my tax, i know the usual things , laundry, incidentals,meals etc. Is there anything that anyone can think of that will bring the amount that they can tax down to a minimum? Any help greatly appreciated.

Only problem is, the stairs lead straight into the living room (no door to put a lock on) so i bought an alarm to point down the stairs giving an audible warning. Also some safety gates at the top of the stairs.
