  1. Right Got all 3 accounts totaled together, was a bit gutted that they were not for more but never mind. Account A £420 Charges Balance -£69.21 Owed £350.79 Account B £902 Charges Balance -£145.63 Owed £756.37 Account C £1034 Charges Balance -£1230 I owe Them £196 So the NET figure is they owe me 911.16. Now, heres the tricky. Do I chase them for the 2 that are in profit to me, when I get them paid, put into the account that I NET owe them say £300, then persue them on Account C because the interest will put me WELL in front on that account. IF THESE were to Summons Issued on them, on all 3, I would be NET £1572.22 as of today. I can afford to go and put £300 in account C now if this would help my cause. I hope you understand what I am asking as Im struggling. OR do I just issue a claim en mass for all the charges and ignore the current balance even though I have not paid them, then settle the accounts after payment RE-EDIT I can pay all the balances off to ZERO
  2. I had one of these and while this may not be exactly worded as some more knowledgable. Dear Sir I am writing to you with regard your letter dated **/**/** I would like to inform you that this amount is in full dispute. I am in contact with Cutomer Relations with regards to the sum you claim is liable. I will not be discussing this matter with you until my dispute with the bank has been resolved. May I suggest you contact your client for further instructions Regards If they ask the bank they will tell them to stop as under the Banking code, they cannot chase any disuted amounts
  3. Right Just got home and even though they had no record, my statements have come for my 3 accounts. Totaling 155 pages. Going to sit down tomorrow, England are playing, and work out exactly the mounts. 1 quick question, their is alot of Intersest. Now none of these accounts had an overdraft so the only way I could become Overdrawn was if I had had charges applied. Am I correct in thinking I can claim this back as well as there would not have been any interest if it hd not been for the charges. Thanks for your help
  4. Just a note and it is personal choice. when you send something recorded delivery, it is just treated exactly the same as a normal first class letter. IE sorted and then taken out for delivery where the postie gets a signature. They do get lost. Special delivery, while £4.10 I believe, is tracked from the post office to the point of delivery. IE Accepted at Post Office Accepted from Post Office By Postman Received and sorting On Road Recevie by delivery office Received by Postman Delivered If its as much as you hope, I would defo pay the extra
  5. Though I would just send them a little reminder. On 1st June 2006 I sent by special delivery, a request for a list of all transcations and charges on my account. The adress used was Ma Alan Pretty Senior Service Quality Officer HSBC Bank PLC Arlington Business Centre Millshaw Park Lane Leeds LS11 0PP It was revceived at 7.05am by PAM BAKER I note with interest, that while HSBC have been on posseion of my request now for 18 days, you have not cashed my cheque. Considering that there is an enforced Time Limit of 40 days, I trust that I will receive my request in a short period of time. Regards
  6. 20Th June Today phoned to chase as I noted they had not cashed my cheque. Spoke to "Ray" He advised that while they had received it, as I had the proof, it had not been entered onto there system. he gave me an email address [email protected] and advised me to email in asking for a charges only list on the accounts. I have done so BUT also attached the original DPA letter, a screenshot of the Proof of Delivery and advising that while I appreciate that the original may have been lost, the original 40 days is still ticking. He did say something that ticled me, he said that he couldnt generate a charges only sheet as he didnt have the authority to, only the special team set up to deal with this can. Its a "Major Issue for the Bank" NEVER
  7. I ahve a query about Carphone warehouse that I wonder if anyone knows the answer I have a mobile on cotract, i asked for a £75 call limit per month We went on safari in africa and I used my phone to call home but thought I would stop when the call limit kicked in. Anyway, I got home and my next bill had call charges to £720. I argueed and they said Blah Blah Blah, I disputed the amount but carried on paying my bills, minus the call charges why they found out what had happened, then I sought legal advise as whats the point of a call limit if not applied. Now my solicitor said it was a grey area after seeking advice so I agreed to pay. What I did not know was while I was still paying my current amount, CPW where putting 1,2,3 4 on my account as this bill was still outstanding. I paid the bill when I got the advice for my solicitor. However, on my file it says default/delinquent amount £800+ even thought I paid all the bill and neer had any notices etc etc. It does say S as the last thing on this file but there is something in the Default/deliquent area Status Credit Limit Date Updated Start Date Date Last Delinquent Date Satisfied Default Date Default / Delinquent Balance Settled £ 0 19/02/2006 04/09/2004 12/05 16/01/2006 £ 846 Payment History See Key of Payment History Most Recent Status: Previous History:

  10. My brother, who lives about 180 miles away, has had fortunes in Bank Charges, possibly more than me. Ive told him about this site and he wants to get into the banks BUT he doesnt have Internet, nor a computer. I work from home all day on my computer so I have plenty of time to help him. What i would like to know is, can i do all of this for him. The only problem is the distance so if I can do it for him, can I get the banks to send me something. I know when i do things for my mum on the phone they need her permission to speak to me. Is there anything we can draft up for me to ct on his behalf and receive the letters on his behalf Thanks in advance

  17. If the mods want to do anything to this post thats fine... If you have online banking, you can "Search" your statements for relevant transactions. Just select Charges from the drop down box. Then starting from the begining of the year, select to search from 1/1 YEAR for +3 months (Available from another drop down box) Then choose 1/4 1/7 1/10 then 1/1 from the following year This will show you all the charges applied, what the statement number was that they were applied to, the date they were applied PLUS the reason for the charge. Hope this helps someone
