  1. Hi Ja-De any sign of your papers yet. Has the postie left a pressie for you. Cant be long now keep my fingers crossed for you. HI Buffy007 With this weather can you blame her for wanting to stay safe and warm. She wont visit untill shes ready. Very Best Wishes:)
  2. Thank you Dusary, Was going to click your scales but wouldnt let me. Very welcome information so have a hug instead
  3. Thanks JA-DE Ive found one on that "take me back" site archives. Goes back to 2003 cant find one before that but Im hoping this will do. So long as Ive got one near to 1999 should be ok I hope. Mines not all that big either really but thought Id do a bundle of sorts anyhow. Lets see what tomorrow brings
  4. Well done . Always nice to hear of people getting their money back. Enjoy
  5. t wonderin has anyone got a copy of the T&Cs dating back to 1999 please. Ive been waitin for the Halifax to send them but their a long time comin. LOL Id be very grateful if someone could post them for me . Thanx (or tell me where to go ) Ill re-phrase that, tell me where to find them.
  6. Well done Tonycee, Im pants whenit comes to using this thing too but I bet your feelin ontop of the world now youve got this under your belt. See doesnt matter if were not genius's on here so long as we all pull together and help whe we can WE CAN ALL DO IT, Give yourself a big pat on te back an just think, youll know exactly wha to do next one LOL:)
  7. HI again Not so sure if Ill be of any help but I can only go on what i think I would do. Id go for the high rate ( they can only say no) do a couple of spreadsheets , different rates and then the judge can decide which one you can have. I would still claim even if the account is closed after all its still your money they took and so I think it will still be accruing the interest, Not too sure about that one, but I think if anyone has better advice they will come to your help sooner rather than later. i notice from your sig that your far more experienced than I am so perhaps you can help me too sometime eh! Hope this helps in some miniscule way LOL:)
  8. Hi JA-DE Ive not heard anythin either . If Im honest I didnt reallyexpect to yet. You know what they are like, bury their head in the sand in the hope that we will all go away. Lke thats going to happen. Im at a bit of loss now I suppose I should be getting the bundle shouldnt I just in case. Have you seen all the things your supposed to put in .Phew some of them are positively GINORMOUS. LOL No wonder people claim £9.25 ph it seems like its going to take ages and a whole lot of ink as well, just as well we can claim our costs back then eh! I must admit Im nota whiz when it comes to computers. Just about manage on here. I would love to be like you ,Im green with envy of anyone who knowstheir way around these things properly, and full of admaration as well. Well done you. I should imagine you will hear somethin back from the courts this week so dont despair . Like we all know they backlog is massive so we'll just have to have patience. I know thats a pain but just thnk of all the interest its gathering and the smile on your face when you get your hands on it It is worth the wait even if its just for the feeling of satisfaction you'll get. Have you started your bundle yet btw. Are you going to put loads in it as well. Give us both somethin to take our minds off waitin. regards:)
  9. Hi wednesday, JUst wondering what spreadsheet you are using and are you claiming for bank or credit card.
  10. dont know what I did to deserve that but Thank You M/H . Much appreciated
  11. HI Ja-De, First off I want to say. WHAY HEY GIRL . Good on you , sounds as though you know exactly where you want to go and by the sounds of it , youll get there too. I think its really great that you got your head on right and went out and did something. MORE POWER TO YOUR ELBOW!! Am I now in the presence of some computer genius then. How on earth did you get your head round spreadsheets. I must admit Im really, really impressed. Wish I had the bottle to do it but I feel at my age its a wee bit too late now, although I would love to learn more about this comp I dont think anything would sink in . Things these days just see to go floating out of my head as fast as I try and put things in. Goldfish memory half the time, honestly. My late husband was the one into computers, He was self taught and before his health problems he ended up teachng computer techniques in a local college , and my son now takes after him . What he doesn know about comps just isnt worth knowing. Didnt get it from me thats for sure. One more time GOOD FOR YOU! Now about these costs and things I was readin a thread somewheere before and I think it was one of the mods (gary) that posted a reply to someones query and (I hope Im not mistaken here) they said that you put in for your costs eg; postage , time taken to get the bundle together , stuff like that, when the Judgement is in your favour and then it is up to the Judge what you claim for. Someone please correct me if I am wong and put me on the right path, thanx So looks like you and Iare near eough at the same place then with our claims. I believe there is quite a backlog around here for the Hali so would not surprise me if they put a defence in right at the last minute and then (I think ) arent they entitledto another 28 days or is it another 14 which would make it the 28 inclusive , 25th -9th then 10th -24th or thereabouts. I was talking to a freind the other day and she was going for the NatWest she'd had a letter to offer just on half her claim and she sent a no thank you letter but said she would accept it in part but she would go to court if they did not pay her all the amount. They came back with , they dont do part payments and she had better take them to court then. She was getting worried but I told her they are just tryng to scare her into giving up and accepting less. I should imagine they will settle before it actually gets into court. Hope so for her sake anyhow. Right well Im going to bounce around some more threads now and see what ill need for my bundle . Im sure someone had one that was over a hundred pages so quite a bit of work to be done. Good luck with yours and keep me "posted". We'll do this together. LET BATTLE COMMENCE Regards
  12. Hi all Awwhhhh heres me thinkin you might be doin cartwheels or summat like that on your mat Ja-De. Just thought you might be practicing for when you get your money back:rolleyes: . Well the Halifax is deemed served today (according to the courts letter) . Did I read your thread right Ja-De is yours deemed today aswell? They have till the 9th July to pay up or file a defence. I just hope they think it isnt worth going to court for and take pity on me and put the money in the bank. Well a girl can dream , cant I. Would be ssssssssssssoooooooooooooo nice o check my bankand find a nice little deposit there. LOL Have you started getting your bundle together yet just in case? I dont know whether to start mine or not yet, suppose I should as when Iv read other threads on here they have got so much to put in them. You remember me sayin that I havent put the cost of the postage or that in my POC's , Well just thought then. Ive not done the bundle yet so I couldnt put the cost for the time it takes to do that in the POC's before hand then could I. Perhaps I can still claim for that when they settle then ,(if it goes to court I could ase judge to include the costs then ) . Cause cant see how I could have included it if I havent done it yet. Does that make sense or am I waffling on again:confused: regards:)
  13. I wont even ask what you were doing on the doormat . ( but id love to know what you used to do 20 years ago) The mind BOGGLES:cool:
  14. hi Ive done all mine through the local court. Its quite straight forward and they will check it over for you. But dont worry about that yet spend the time you are waiting to read up on more threads. Im addicted to this site so many different stories and so many clever minds, its facinatin. About the spread sheets ,I personally used Midzias one , Im no whiz with anything like this and i found this one really easy to use. no work really just put the details in and hey presto it does it all for you. There are notes as well just in case you do get stuck but if I can do it Im sure you will too. Like weve all said though never feel as though you cant ask , theres always someone about to give you support and help. They really are a GREAT bunch on here. regards
  15. AAAAWWWWW your still only babies then LOL Its not that bad, I get away with loads of stuff I couldnt have done in my 30's or 40's:p
  16. hi armillar welcome to the club. The N1 is included in the small claims pack you can pick up from your local courts. mcol is if you want to do your claim on line. Have you read through the FAQ's That will tell you all you need to know and lots of good advice too. Dont be put off by any letters you get from the bank there all standard bog off and not worth worrying about. Just banks way of trying to get people to stop them from claiming. I think the case you are referring to is the one called dads. Its about CCI and the Judge set a precedent in the high court , a lot of people are now not bothering to go for this particular rate of interest . Dont know if it means nobody can claim it anymore or if it is just if you try and claim it under the "mutuality and recirocity" argument. Not read up on it too much just sorta skirted round the edges. Must make time to read it through as i have gone for CCI but it was before I came across dads thread so Im not sure if ill get mine or not . not too bothered just so long as I can get the 8% stat. Good luck with yours and dont forget read, read ,read its amazing how much you will learn from the great people on here. Dont forget your never alone always somebody willing to help out if you get stuck. regards
  17. Glad I brought a smile to your face money . My kids tell me Im the oldest teenager in captivity;)
  18. HI have you sent them the letter telling them not to take your benefits money any more. Im not on benifits just not working. Had a job 2 &1/2 yrs ago but walked out and just been in and out of work since. Me and my stupid impulses. Im sorry I walked as cant seem to get a good job now , not qualified for anythin , jack of all trades done a bit of everythin. Trouble is now the money is wearin thin on the ground but no sign of a job, Im sure its my age only got another 3 yrs till I draw my pension . OMG ill qualify for a bus pass. Where does the time go. Seems like yesterday that I was just 21 , Still feel the same but now the old face looks like its been torn off scrumpled up and flung back on. LOL:)
  19. BTW itsme thank you for the support andyour very welcome
  20. hi Well I went with my daughter to see the nice man at Welcome. They had a new contract for her to sign but I made sure we read it thorougly first. They have taken all the PPI off and instead of her having to pay £302. mth they have lowered the payments to £167.00 mth. No insurances at all on it. this leaves her with a balance of £8100.00 instead of the £11000.00 odd they quoted her in the first place. Shes happy with so. I had to laugh though cause the poor fella didnt seem to know any of the answers to the questions I asked him.He made the excuse that he didnt really deal with car finance side of it he was morefor personal loans. Then he told us he was leaving next week anyway as he was fed up with the way they rip people off. Said the amount of people that were putting in complaints was rediculous, and he was sick of gettin all kinds of flak as he knew they were right but he has a job to do and only doin as he was instructed. AWH Felt quite sorry for him really poor chap.Oh well its done now but Im not sure if they have still ripped her off somewhere down the line cause she has paid nearly 12 mths of PPI but cant seem to get my head round it for some reason or other. Anyway as long as shes happy thats all that matters I suppose. Hopefully she will have no more trouble with them, who knows.
  21. Hi Ja-De I thought i should have but if its too late now then its just hard luck on me and ill know next thime wont I. Hopefully we might hear something over the next few wks eh. That would be ssooooooo good. Im not in work at the moment and the money would come in very handy believe me. Just have to wait patiently , and keep fingers crossed.
  22. Thanks itsme and 2701 Both of you have been very helpful. My daughter has an appointment with them today to sign a new agreement (which Im not in agreeance with) but she asked me to go as well so ill make sure she reads everything. this is the letter she got from them "I write in relation to our conversation and your recent complaint. Having reviewed your agreement .In our opinion you have not been mis-sold PPI . In your atatement that Mr ****** was not in employment for 6 months and could not claim. Once Mr ***** had completed 6 months continuous employment he would be able to claim In Jan you requested to cancell the insurance which we actioned an a pro rata basis, as this is the rebate we have recieved from the insurance . In order to adress your query, we are as a gog, prepared to rebate the difference in cancellation rebate, between inception date 31/06/2006 and the 12/01/2007 when you cancelled the insurance. This mean the total amount repayable of your agreement will be; £6900.00 Amount of credit £4066.80 Finance charge £295.00 Gap Insurance £170.15 Interest change for Gap insurance £150.00 Acceptance Fee £100.00 Option Fee £11681.95 Total amount repayable This is a reduction of £3050.05 from the original figurres. However the monthly payments of£302.75 will remain the same .If you maiintain a Full payments on your agreement this will reduce your term from 48 mths to just over 38mths. There may also be a rebate of interest at the end of your term." They have also rang her to say that the payments she has already made will need to be taken off the balance as well. This is just over £3000.00. She seems to accept this but somewhere I smell a rat. I think she should get the total amount she has paid off the ppi back in form of a cheque. Or does anyone think Im pushing her luck. Do you think she should be happy with the deal they want to make? All advice would be appreciated thanks
  23. Hi money. thanks for the support. Ill be hovering like a hawk LOL
  24. Hi all To update ive come back from the shops and found the postie has delivered my papers from the court. The banks shall be deemed served on 25th June and they have till 9th July to respond. Im excited now but also a bit wary, as you all know Ive gone for CCI but dont think Ive a hope in hell of getting it now, just wish Id read Dads thread before I took mine to court. Never would have gone for it then. Still Ill be happy whatever I get , just the immense satisfaction of standing up for myself, at long last. Im still gob-smacked that Ive actually been and gane and done it. Didnt think I had it in me . Its all down to the fantastic people on here, without whom I would never have dared try anything like this, yet now, well Im rearing to go. BRING IT ON Could someone please tell me though should I have put my costs : expenses and the time its taken , stuff like that, on the POC or do you claim for that if and when it goes to Court or if the bank rings to offer settlement? Not too sure on that one. Ive just claimed the CCI on mine dont know if this is right and if it isnt then when can I claim for them? Any advice would be most welcome regards
