  2. Hercules have you tried Mindsia's sheet ? Its really good and will work that out for you. This is the one ive used and believe me if i can do it anyone can . lol
  3. if you cant get it off the link try excel contractual spread sheet it on there near to the last pages
  4. hi lorry It might seem daunting just now but the advice you were given to read ,read, read is well worth taking on board. I think we are all a little nervous now since the LLoyds case but we must not give up. Stick to your guns youll be ok . this is the link for THAT case if you want to read it Ifhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/15_05_07_bank_charge.pdf regards
  5. just to update, well the deadline for the lba was up yesterday so sent out another one today. I know its giving them another 14 days but I have added a bit to the letter. "Seeing as how I have had no response from you re my previous letter,I have had more time to research my claim . As you can see I have sent you an amended schedule of charges ,as I now know I can claim for contractual interest at the rate you were charging me" Hope this sounds ok ,and that this will please them Sent it off this a.m. recorded del. When I came back home from posting it , there pushed through the letter box was a letter from them. Suprise, Suprise. This was dated 11th May, just the usual bumf. "Sorry we took so long responding, blah, blah, blah. Will investigate as soon as possible, you will hear from us no later than 9th June." I dont think I will be running to thier time scale ,I like my own. Another 14 days then file for court. I wasnt going for CCI first off but then ive read so many threads where other people have tryed for it and won , so I thought to myself " Well never venture , never win" .My only worry is that ive not done the spreadsheet right. Im nearly certain i have ,compairing it to others that I have seen and reading all the info on them. Im just frettin over nothing I think. Its just the interest seems nearly as much as the charges but what the heck if they want it accurate to the penny , let them work it out for me. After all they'll be the ones forking it out. Ill keep you all updated and good luck with your claims. regards
  6. hi im not too sure who put the attachment on for me but thanks very much whoever you are this has really helped seems ive done it right after all :D YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OMG how sad am I gettin excited over a spreadyLOL:o

  8. hi just wanted to say what a lovely piece. Ive lost furry friends too over the years and people who were very special to me . One very very special,my hubby. These words brought tears to my eyes and I can hardly see to type. I like to think that they all walk by our side still , we sometimes feel their presence, we just cant see them physically, but we can if we look into our hearts and remember not just the good times but the not so good as well .Its all part of our memories and they never die. regards
  9. thanks Lucid dont know where my brain was , of course , now I realise my mistake. Just looked at all three now and thinkin how dozy I must be:rolleyes: Its taken me ages to work out the spreadies but just want to say that I personally think Mindsia's is fan-dabbi-dozy. lol. Its the only one I could get right,(well I think Ive got it right). I dont suppose I could be cheeky could I and ask you if youve got the time, sometime, to just check it over for me please. I know your busy and its my own claim but I would really appreciate it if you would. Depending on of course I can get it to you,:-| I admit im not too good at workin out how to send stuff. I tried the other night and it looked nlike a pile of gobbledy-gook:confused: Anyone tryin to read it would need a degree in brain science I think. I was so embarrased. Well we didnt do computers when I went to school, Still used the abacus, , only joking really not that old , honest . Anyway thats my excuse and im stickin to it Again thanks and by the way ive read all your thread and you two are really the bees knees when it comes to put pen to paper. Really impresive letters. regards
  10. Hi again sorry tobe a pain but have just been gioing through some threads and came across a stick that answered my questions to the letter so once again sorry to post an obviously unwarrented question.:o
  11. hi Just a quick question for anyone that can help me. Im asking this on behalf of my daughter. Shes doing spreadsheet but on her statements there is an unarranged borrowing fee also service charge ,which she thinks is because she has Advantage Gold Acct. Now I dont think she can claim for service charge, but not certain. Also does the unnaranged fee go down in the charges or the interest as she also pays interest. Thanks anyone in anticipation. regards
  12. hi thio yes im going to start another 14 days as like you say , theres no rush and will give me more time to work things out in my head as well. Brains getting a bit fogged up ,so much to take in,and the spreadies are just about starting to make sense (i think) regards
  13. I am also in this position and im just updating my schedule of charges now. i sent my LBA on 2nd may so mines up on the 16th but ive decided to send another LBA plus new charges and will include somethin like " Due to not having recieved any acknowledgement from you ,I have had more time to investigate my situation regarding the charges and have now realised that i can claim for contractual interest , hence the updated schedule. " this gives me another 14 days to get everything into perspective before filing my claim. Hope this helps and good luck with your claim regards:)
  14. I am also in this position and im just updating my schedule of charges now. i
  15. hi jackster not too sure myself but if im not mistaken doesnt vamps spready include instructions on how to change the rate ? I must be honest i couldnt even download this so ive used mindsia's one .think ive got it right regards:)
  16. hi all just need a bit of help. Ive done the spready but i'm confused , (or just plain thick) On the top in the boxes where it has the totals TOTAL PENALTIES TOTAL INTEREST ON PENALTIES TOTAL OWED BEFORE INTEREST The last one is the one that i find confusing, am i right in thinking that this is the final amount of my claim? What does it mean OWED BEFORE INTEREST? Do i need to put more interest on? If so what interest is it? Sorry so many questions but its confusing the hell outta me:oops: I must sound really thick but not to good with numbers but i am trying to understand ,reading loads about it but the more i read the more confused i get. I thought i had a handle on it but not too sure now.:? Any help anybody would be greatly appreciated. thanks regards:)
  17. hi lolypop, which spready did you use ?Ive been using the one off mindsia found that to be the easiest one to do as I dont know about you but Im no wizz kid when it comes to interest.although i have come to understand them a bit better after reading "me v halifax" gives a way of working it out that even i could understand regards:)
  18. Well I just thought that they have charged me so why not " DO UNTO OTHERS". Its my money and now I want payback. That might sound brave but Im not feeling very brave at the moment , although, I have just read "ME V HALIFAX" and for the first time I think I understand this interest lark a whole lot better. Applied this formula to my charges and POW it worked. CI wont make a huge difference really but the satisfaction will lol. Well im off to bed now with a smile on my face for the first time in weeks Goodnight regards Eileen:)
  19. Hi . Ive just been reading your thread and I cant begin to tell you how much its helped me. Ive been dithering over interest rates for ages , could not fathom out how everyone arrived at the sums they did:confused: I came across your formula and yoouve put it so plainly that I applied it to mine and HEY PRESTO I think I have got it at last. I cant thank you enough for helping a dimbo like myself, who seemed doomed to wander about the site for another good few weeks or even months :o . I think at last I see the light. THANK YOU and I wish you well with your claim. You remain my HERO lol:D REGARDS :)
  20. Hi halibunny Im going for the contractual interest as well, I hope ive worked it out right. Ive used Mindsia's spready which i think is fantastic . It works it all out for you like magic. Well seems like magic to a dumb cluck like me:p Although just be my luck to have got it all wrong. Ive no head for figures at all. I sent a LBA in already but with just the charges and interest then when i thought about it I realised that seeing the amount theyhave charged me why shouldnt I get it all back. After all its my money and they would ,and have, charged me the same rate so why not. I read this sight every day cant gat enough, not only for hte bank info but the other stuff as well. Its a font of useful nformation. Opened my eyes i can tell you. Well good luck with your claim and I will keep checking to see how your progressing regards
  21. Thanks sea sidelady ill go take a look at that now I could do with some tips. I think ive done it right but you never know. Any help is welcomed regards:)
  22. Hi Louis Thanks for that , think I just needed a wee bit of reasurance;) Honestly Ive been meeting myself coming back over these interest rates and the spreadies. I only hope Ive got it right this time ! I felt such a fool the other night I asked if anyone could check a bit of my spready and instead of scanning it in I copied it. DOH! Talk about was my face red. It looked like a right load of jumble, nobody would have been able to make heads or tails out of it. Someone said it was the best post all night:rolleyes: Yep I think they were being sarky but I couldnt help but laugh. Couldnt blame them though. Oh well we live and learn dont we. regards eileen
  23. Just an update ive just decided that perhaps i did the spready's right after all. been sat at the comp nearly all day (again) and reading reading reading. Cant get enough of this site, but if you think about it its better to find out as much as you can so your forearmed.lol. ive decided to send my LBA into the shabby with an amended schedule of charges. I think its ok to do that at this stage , sure ive read somewhere on this site that other people have done it so going to have a shot at it myself;) ive printed off another 3 lots of spreadys one for each type of interest but ill just send the one for contractual in and then include the 3 lots in the bundle (if it gets that far) then leave it up to the judges discretion. Just an after thought and i hope this doesnt sound to dim but when you get the statements back are you supposed to get the contract you signed as well and any other info they keep on you like if there has been any "manual intervention" or is it just the statements:confused: regards to you all and good luck with your claims
  24. hi s-side lady Im not too sure yetwhich one to go for so ive printed off all three rates , might go for contractual though if ive got it right. thanks for replying though. regards:)
