  1. Iresa can have poor service at times I now but they are "much"cheaper than British Gas.My bill over 8 months to heat a 3 bedroom house was £420,(October to June.2017 inclusive).Last year it was £720 with BG.I did get a bill for £3600 for 1 month but after emailing them got an apology and was sorted within 24 hours. My British Gas bill last year was £1100,I estimate this year with the summer season on its way the bill will be £700 for the 12 months.
  2. Thanks for the reply, just found out that the noise is coming from the hard drive,it's obviously a little to noisy for listening to audio at close quarters but thats the way it's made so stuck with it.Regards.
  3. Hello, on the 9 May 2015 I bought a Asus laptop that is working perfectly but it has a noisy (to my ears)operating system. I am an Audiophile so the computer has to be more quite than it is. I took it back after to Argos after 2 days and explained that it was to noisy for me as I play Classical music and there are a lot of very quite parts. To be far I don't think there is anything wrong but it's just a little to noisy. The lady did listen to it and said that it was the operating system and so could not get a refund. In law is it possible to get a refund do you think. Regards Paul.
  4. Parking fines on private land If you park on private land without permission (or stay longer than you paid for, for example, in a shop car park), you might get sent a notice telling you to pay a parking fine. This might look like an official fixed penalty but it isn't one. It's a notice that they intend to take you to court for trespassing, and will offer to let you pay some money to settle the case out of court. This isn't a criminal matter. There is no independent appeal process for parking fines on private land. But if the parking operator decides to take you to a county court, the court may decide that you don't have to pay the fine. This might be, for example, because the parking restrictions weren't clear. A parking operator doesn't have a legal right to recover a parking fine without first taking court action against you. You can also look on the website of the British Parking Association which acts as a trade association for companies that carry out parking enforcement activities on private land. Members of the Association must comply with a Code of Practice on the issuing of parking fines. You can find the Code of Practice on the website at Welcome to the British Parking Association. Put bluntly IGNOR all there threats i do.
  5. Did someone say thats life!No thats paypal.Deal with these creatures at your peril.
  6. What is happening to you is happening to me,some one managed to break into my ebay account and sold £2917 worth of stuff to ebayers up and down the country. These peaple payed there money and got nothing in return. They complained to paypal who without checking anything payed them all back as what happens in these cases. They did not even check to see if the money had gone into my paypal account from this fraud,it had not.It went into the [problematic].Of course then what happened was there computor throws up my name and without checking my account duly put it into the hands of iqor.I got a soliciter to send them a letter(£175 so do not do it)and heard nothing from them, then 4 months later i got a letter demanding £2917 from EOS solutions.I have had 2 letters in the last 18 days.If iqor have given up then thay all will.I have not or will not be getting in touch with these creatures. We all see this as a laugh now because we have experienced it first hand and so will you.Do not get overly concerned and do not get in touch with them.By the way to show you how perseverant these type of peaple are i had a parking ticket which involved 8 debt collection companies over a period of 2 years (great fun), none got my hard earned money.
  7. thanks andydd, you may remember about 4 months ago you gave me the advice about this problem were my ebay account had been hijacked and the person who hijacked it went on to sell a few things of his own which with my sales/perchases and his own got excellent from ebayers. Then WAM!he started to sell high value phones,TVs and the like, well every body who paid thro paypal(how i hate this company)got nothing from him. Then the next thing i get was a letter from iqor collecting on behalf of paypal asking for nealy £3000 which they had paid out in compansation.Cutting this short i involved a solicitor. Now eos solusions are asking for the money. Not once have paypal been in touch, thou at the time i had changed my internet provider but they could have written.Anyway none of these debt collection agencies will be hearing from me.Neally forgot, i had been on ebay a few times leading up to this sillyness but did not log in for over 14 months else i would have seen somthing was very wrong with my account.CHEERS
  8. palomino, the instructions from me were carried out to the letter i am just letting those peaple who are contemplating using a solicitor that it can be a costly road to follow.
  9. Since having my ebay account hijacked 10/2009 i got a letter from iqor stating that i owed paypal £2917,i got a solicitor to write to iqor with all my selling and buying information (about 12 transactions thats all) to which he recieved no reply after 4 months from iqor. The solicitor was paid his one letter fee £175 and that was that. This morning i recieved a letter from Eos solutions saying they were taking recovery action to collect this debt. This is getting farcical.Iqor cannot get paypal's money so it's sold or bought by EOS.Well there is going to be no reply from me anymore to this saga. It's obvious iqor have not given EOS any of my solicitors information, but then they would not would they, so perpetuating this odyssey. If nothing else i have learnt not to use a solicitor as with help from this forum we empower and inspire each other.
  10. andy, when money is handed over by cheque what ever is used the remainder is paid back, anyway i now him.
  11. Hello andydd, just to say that my solictor did write to iqor 8 weeks ago asking for the transaction paper work from ebay and paypal but has yet heard nothing.I supose no news is good news.I might add that on having the solicitor taken on my case i had to hand over £500 to get things moving, if the case is cut and dry i'll get most of it back.
  12. Hello, andydd thats right i lost no money just had my ebay/paypal account closed down. The first transaction by this prat was August 2009 where as my last transaction was 2 August 2008 and have not been on ebay since then.So from around August 2009 this prat took over the account still using my username and chalked up £3000.He used the account for a few weeks selling and buying and to all accounts every body dealing with him were happy. So with my excellent record and his by now he spent the next 2 weeks selling high value products and recieved the money from paypal but no one got there stuff.Needless to say what peaple have said about me.Paypay without any thought or professional integraty have taken the easy option and blamed me.
  13. 6 weeks ago i recieved a letter from Iqor demanding on behalf of paypal £3000,my ebay account had been compromised. The person who stole my account sold over £3000 of items over a few weeks which these poor peaple did not recieve and so have blamed me.I had not used ebay for over 12 months.Ebay did not get intouch with me as i have changed my internet provider and phone number, why thay did not write God only nows.Anyway i got in touch with iqor and told them what had happened, they said they would check it out, what a bitch she was.I did the usual things got in touch with paypal, ebay etc and tried to explain to these morons. The £3000 did not go into my paypal account but the person who stole it.Ebay i think saw my user name which he kept and without checking everything fully just got iqor to hassel me.At the end of the morning and with the iqor letter and transactions information that had taken place in hand i went and saw a solicitor.By the way my ebay information was down loaded by a ebay friend as my ebay/paypal accounts had been stopped. My solicitor has written to iqor and as yet had no reply after 8 weeks.I am paying the solicitor to do my dirty work but out of interest does anybody now what will happen next.
