Have a secured house loan with them, now been sold on many times over the years and want to pay it off completely . i rang them up . They want bank statements and want to know where the money has come from plus when they took over the loan they put the interest rate up when it was fixed . Its only 9k . We never had a problem last week with Santander paying the remainder . They are being right nastu about it and seems like they do not want us to pay it off .

My credtit card goes back to 1997 but i dont think i have all the statement . Funny how they came about that figure of £13500 without a complete breakdown . I have never checked my credit card file to see if i had a default . I will write back to them today for a complete breakdown

Hi this is my second claim against HBOS . The first one was last year and they paid me by cheque even though i owed them money . I made another claim for ppi on my credit card last june and it went through the fos and hbos have now given in and are offering me £13500 . I tried to make a genuine claim back in 2003 (broken an arm and a leg ) and they refused to pay me . my credit card went into default in 2011 and they will use the ppi to pay it off which is what i always wanted from HBOS . My question is I have asked them to remove the default as part of the settlement which they said no . I am just wasting my time with this . Also in the settlement letter they have not given me a complete breakdown of the ppi figure just the offer of £13500 .

I have just downloaded the FOS complaint letter and will fill it in tonight .

The reasons were i broke my leg and i was never told that by me being self employed i was not eglible . I did not know i had ppi or had it explained to me Paying the ppi was useless when i needed it the most . "Halifax relpy. In light of my findings i feel that our advisor acted fairly and reasonably throught the sale . I believe that the information provided at the time of the sale was a fair presentation of the features of the policy and explained the policy exclusions and the costs of the insurance . I am also of the opinion that it was clear ,fair and not misleading therefore allowing you to make a fully informed choice . My review has not highlighted any failings with the sale that would lead me to believe your decision to purchase the ppi policy would have changed . "

Claim for miselling of the ppi policy and been rejected

Hi took out a credit card with the halifax around 1995 and did not know i was paying for ppi until september 2003 when i broke my left leg in two places . I rang the halifax about a personal loan i also had and because at the time of my accident i was self employed they refused to pay out . I got into a heated argument with them at the time but to no avail . So i asked to be put on the credit card side to see if that was any different . They also refused my ppi at the time so i cancelled it CC ppi . Roll on to march of this year i rang them to complain about the ppi loan as to why they did not pay out in 2003 and they paid me nearly £3500 even going back as far as 1998 on a previous loan . I decided to claim on the CC ppi and have just got back a reply today saying its rejected . I have downloaded the form from FOS is there anthing else i can do .

Yes default notice credit agreement the usual . The envelope was royal mail 1st class . I did not want to leave the defence till the last day just in case something went wrong and never thought i would get anything back from mkdp .

Fourth letter down does have two barcalycard account numbers . I had to omit them for obivious reasons .To me the rest of the letters are useless. I am more conserned i got them and nobody else has .

Yes ref number is unknown to me its also states the county court claim number . No mention of the barclaycard account number

Andy i take it its the third letter down and if so no account number just ref number

Having read through the papers sent to me by MKDP i am now of the opinion that there is nothing new or anything i have asked for . Only one of the letters has my name and address on it .

Ok i posted my defence this morning to be at the court by 1pm friday . Here are the letters i got from mkdp today at 3pm

OK Dotty . Have now had a letter back From MKDP . Acknowledgement of me to defend the case some useless abc template like letters and they have requested the original credit agreement ,copy statements and any other documentation from barclaycard .

Great is this the only paper i send in now as my defence ?

Having read dotty post she is using a template as her defence mentioning no sign of the cpr and the 78 request . Can i use her template or is there one on this website as my position is nearly identical to dottys . I am still confused having read all revelent posts

Crikey Dotty i am in the same boat as you stressed out . I have not decided to ask for an extension but will decide by thursday . I will write MKDP a follow up letter tomorrow .

Yes Dotty i am following your link .Would it be to my advantage that mkdp does not send me any of the requested paper work inside the 14 days to submit my defence or the extension (28days )

Very interesting post sick of thames credit . Do you have a link to why the original CCAs is unenforceable . I did ask barclaycard for a copy of the cca but they sent me tand cs . As to why they did not produce it to me i dont understand . My reckoning is they dont have it and if they do have it they would have passed it on to mkdp surely .
