  1. Glad it went ok for you. Just hope it will be straight forward for you.
  2. When I first signed on ,I signed on from my mothers address. When I moved I also moved job centres but informed them of my new address ,four different times. when I got the letter from the local authority it wasn't sent to my address was sent to my mums. I also receive letters off the job centre that goes to my mums. But when I went to the job centre I did question this and they said it got nothing to do with them. I only get paid one lot of JSA. When I went to the job centre after the after my IUC they told me there a number you have to ring to update your details but I didn't get told this. I did ring this number the same day as I had my IUC.
  3. Yes its correct I got called in for a ICU. Local Authority called me in. I was only living at my mums address for 2-3 mouths and her house is paid for already so no I wasn't claiming HB. where I live now and where my mum lives are two different authority's. They think I was claiming from 2 addresses because they had not updated there records. Even the people at the job centre today said the address should have been updated which it hadn't been.
  4. Sorry but things could be done a lot different Tomtom256. When you know you haven't done anything wrong and your going though hell, you can see easily see how things can be done differently. They think I am signing on from Two different addresses when I am not. What I don`t get is why my JSA hasn't been stopped but my housing benefit and council tax benefit has.. They didn't said me a letter to tell me my benefit had been stopped, I found that out when I got there at the interview last Thursday. What I don't also understand the woman who interviewed me couldn't stop apologising and told me that it would be sorted by Thursday afternoon and I would get a call and they said they would sort the benefits out. I been ringing them everyday and all I get told is there looking it to it more. They letter I fist received was vague and I was unsure what I was being accused for. I did take paperwork with me to prove I was living at one address. If I knew before the interview what it was about I could got a letter from my mum, (where I lived before) to say I was no longer living there. Took bank statement's as I said I have nothing to hide. They also could of had my landlady's number . They could of visited both addresses . What do you suggest I do Its been a week now and I haven't heard anything. There expecting me to live on less than £50.00 a mouth. This is making me ill.
  5. That's bad when its not your fault . I don't know about you but I think a lot of time stress upset and money could be saved if they done things a different way. I hope you won`t after pay anything back as wasn't your fault. I still don`t know where I stand and because they stopped my housing benefit / council tax benefit if it isn't sorted it couple weeks wont have home .. Please let me know what the Decision maker decides and I hope you hear off them soon
  6. I'm so glad for you make sure you take care of yourself ! Has this effected your benefits ? Don`t you think they could of asked you before to send information / proof that it wasn't your fault before calling you in for a interview ?
  7. fraud officer LOL ? Says it all . I am going though hell at the moment still and its a shame that Fraud officers don`t go by facts. That's why I said I heard....Its up to people who post the threads to believe it or not. You seem to have a lot of time on your hands. I think they make up the rules as they go along .. They say one thing and do another. How did you get on today at your interview Danilou91?
  8. You know why they called me in because a computer was flagged up read against my name! Two addresses was showing up in my name because they never updated it and they thought I was signing of from 2 addresses. I'm just trying to help people and give my experience as like I've said I went though this Thursday and not a nice experience.

I don't have a clue lol I was at an interview Thursday. You can get legal advise where did I state you couldn't ? You can not get legal aid for a interview so you can not have a solicitor come with you for free.
  11. I not being funny but you two are not helping, I've been though this last week, They must get a good wage for doing it . It states on sites and I've also seen it put on threads on here when I was looking for advise. When I rang Friday I got told the person who interviewed me is working from home today. You tell me why they accusing incorrect people of benefit fraud when they done nothing wrong ?
  12. It is I am still not sleeping well as they haven't sorted out repaying my housing benefits or council tax benefit. I know how horrible it feels all kinds go though your head. see I found out the other day the people who interview you work on a bonus if get a Guilty. My interview lasted about 15-20 minutes .

It is bad that we can no get legal aid for this. They do it on purpose because they know a lot of people are not going to be able to get the support in the little time they give you and also they know not going to have funds . Make sure you have someone with you even if its just a friend.
  14. Please let me know how you get on. I know how scary it can be I lost 5 days of sleep and lots of worrying.
  15. He started to pay it back and it would cost more than £1,800 to send the case to court. If he wasn't paying it back they would get items of the cost of £1,800 from his propriety .. I have not seen any one going to court for a small amount of £1,800. If the person is still receiving benefits they will take little amounts and may reduce the payments of what benefits you was receiving. I would go to the interview. If that was the case they accused me wrongly they would of took me to court. They think I had a overpayment of JSA. They thought I was getting paid twice because they had to different addresses for me. The overpayment would be over £2,500
  16. I don't think it helped you setting up a direct debit. You should go to the interview. You wont go to court for a overpayment of £1,800. if you wasn't advice you had to tell your council you shouldn't of starting paying it back. Are you still receiving benefits? Go to C.A.B .. Was you seeing a Dr for you alcohol problem's? a letter from you Dr would be helpful.
  17. That's good your mum to got your mum to go with you. Take all the letters you got with you. When is your interview ?

see I would mention this as well. I think it way to easy to accuse someone of fraud. Call a solicitor I rang one at night time and they got back in touch. Please don't go by yourself. See I had to borrow £600 for a solicitor. Have they stopped your benefit? .Its bad how long they give you. I couldn't sleep for 5days and still in hell. I've also always been honest. I thinking off going to my local MP as I've been treated like dirt and all I got was a apology. They still haven't sorted my housing payments out or council tax.

Get a letter from your bf saying when he moved in also get a letter from his mum, The DWP/ council get a bonus for catching people for benefit fraud but innocent are getting accused when they done nothing wrong. whens your interview what date ? Go to the C.A.B for advise. I got a solicitor for my case as I didn't know what I had done wrong and they hardly put anything in the letter they sent. I think its bad you can not get legal aid and they only gave me 5days before my interview.
