  1. Gone from mine too! Just checked Noddle, it definitely used to be there. My new report can be viewed in 9 days so i'll check back then, but its gone. How very odd! Not that I am complaining at all I might add, but i'm not counting my chickens (or defaults) just yet! H
  2. Heeey Guys Little update for you! After a long and drawn out battle this is all finally done and dusted! After setting up a payment plan last year, and sticking to it, Speedcredit/Marhsall Hoares/ NDR tried telling me they had not received my payments, even after getting my bank to run a trace on them and faxing them proof they still insisted that although I had paid what was agreed this was not enough to close the loan. After goodness knows how many emails, faxes and calls, I finally got them to agree to close the account and have confirmation that this loan is paid off! Logged into the site and it says " good news, this loan has been paid off" 8 little words have made me so happy, and a huge weight off my shoulders Altho the cheeky buggers do go on to say, please feel free to apply for another loan. Hmmm no thanks, id rather stick pins in my eyes than deal with this lot or any other payday loan company ever again! I have learned such a hard lesson from all this and will never get myself into this situation again. Thank you so much CAG for being so helpful and full of non judgmental advice! You guys are legends! H x
  3. I just want to cover myself from all angles. Plus I want them to find the payment so they can mark my credit file accordingly and I can get on with my life I did however just have a very interesting conversation.... I just checked my credit file and Web Loans Processing (who are used by speed credit etc) performed a recorded credit search on my file in December 2012 which I found strange as I had not authorised any such credit search so I called Web Loans Processing from the number on their website to query it. Toothfairy automated service picked up, I then pressed a few options and got through to Marshall Hoares Baliffs who after a lot of explaining as to why I had called, they had no idea about my payment plan and no record set up. Which is strange as I have an email from them and NDR confirming such! I was told that they are just a call centre and don't have dealing with the other companies.......When I pointed this out to them that it didn't matter who I spoke to they are all the same and I had emails from them both detailing my payment plan, they backtracked and said ahhh yes there is just one payment of £58 to close the account can you pay this today....... face palm! I repeated that I had made this payment and have now faxed them all the documents this morning and was told by the guy (who actually wasn't that bad to talk too, much better then the usual numpty that answer the phone!) that he would investigate this mess up and sort it asap for me.....We'll see! When I finally got round to the actual reason for my call to Web Loans Processing, and asked why a credit check was performed they could give me no answer, they said usually a credit check was only done when the loan was applied for or a default was being added...... this all happened 2 years ago! So iv lodged a dispute with call credit Strangely enough, according to my credit file there is just an outstanding balance of £58 on this account (not the £1560 it used to say......) I know they don't have a leg to stand on and I know I have made my payments as agreed so that nothing can come back to me, I just want to get this closed down once and for all. Fingers crossed. H x
  4. Hey Guys I have been battling with Speedcredit/toothfairy/NDR/Marshall Hoares for months and months. I finally got them to agree to a payment plan. On a £100 loan they had hiked up charges to nearly £1500, through sheer grit and determination I managed to get them to agree (in writing) to 3 payments of £58 to settle and close the account. All was fine, I made the three payments (Oct, Nov and Dec) as instructed on their email (via bank transfer with a reference number) Those jokers have now said they cannot find my November payment and I still owe them £58 and unless I pay they will start recovery for the full amount of £1560. I have called them and replied via their useless web pages numerous times, and numerous times I am told their account department is looking into it, then 2 days later I get another round of emails telling me I still owe them money. In my last phone call I told them that I have my bank statement to hand to prove that the payment has made, I have even instructed my bank to run a trace on the payment..... I was told to email it to them......Idiots! I was then in a later call told to fax it to them....!! Now being in the 21st century I do not own a fax machine and my work do not own a fax machine. So what was I to do, the lovely man on the phone told me to seek out a corner shop and get them to fax the sensitive documents over...... again REALLY! Soooo here is my cheeky work around. I have found a online fax service offering a free 30 day trial. The service gives you your own fax number and will fax whatever you upload to any other fax machine number (after the 30 days its £7.99 a month but you can cancel it anytime during the trial) http://www.efax.co.uk/ It works a treat! Sent my letter, copy of their letter accepting a payment plan and copy of my bank statement proving payment (with my bank account number and sort code blocked out, not having the cheeky buggers try and get any more money out of me!) via fax to NDR at this number 0203 137 0794 and a few minutes later got a fax receipt telling me my transmission was successful, sent to my email address. To be fair that fax machine at NDR could actually be their local corner shop but that is the number they gave me and I have a receipt to prove I have sent the letter should anything come back to me later. I wanted to share this with you guys as I know everyone has trouble emailing and sending letters to this company and indeed getting recorded delivery proof via royal mail. Perhaps going old school and faxing will help some of you Keep on plugging at them guys.... you can do it! Love H xx
  5. I did both, direct email so I had proof and through the contact us form. I literally bombarded them! Seemed fair, seeing as they bombarded with with nonsense for months H
  6. I emailed speed credit, toothfairy and marshall hoares! You have to use the contact us on their web pages as the emails will bounce back if you do it direct, but persevere, eventually someone will get back to you. H x
  7. Heeey guys Just wanted to give you all a quick update on the situation. I too like some of you were concerned that the email sent by toothfairy/ndr agreeing to a much reduced balance paid off in 3 installments was a fake. Today (the day before my 1st payment was due) I received an email from them gently reminding me that the 1st installment of my payment plan was due, again detailing the 3 payments of £58.67. I logged into my online account on the ndr website to check and low and behold they have stuck to what they agreed and my balance is now £176 (not the £1400 they were stating before). So as per their email I made my 1st payment via bank transfer with the correct ref numbers and have emailed them to confirm I have done this. 2 more payments to go! By 2013 I will be done and dusted with toothfairy! Keep at it guys!! You can do it! H x
  8. Just keep emailing the registered email address, bombard them if you have to. eventually they will email back. I just kept sending the same email over and over again, think I annoyed them into submission more than anything. Good Luck! It can be done! H x
  9. I have sent them an email as per bombaymix advice, lets see what they say. In both emails it mentions accepting my offer to pay £176 in 3 installments, in the NDR one it says to close the loan, and in the title of the email it says payment plan confirmation. Eeek! Lets hope this isn't all too good to be true H
  10. This is the email I have had from NDR.....what do you think? Im going to reply as you say, won't hurt to get it confirmed again. 13. I've just had 2 emails, one from Marshall Hoares and one from NDR both confirming my payment plan. Time to start spreading the news! It can be done H
  14. Guys you will not believe this!!!!!!!!!! Dear Thank you fro your message. A letter pack will be sent to your address. 15. Its all go today guys..... I have just had a standard reply back telling me they do not accept my offer of £152 Funny as I did not offer £152, I offered £176 Iv replied with some more detail, hopefully a human being will read this and actually get back to me Dear Sirs Further to your email of 28th September 2012 at 13:11 I would like to point out some errors. I have not offered £152 in full and final settlement I have offered £176 the details of which are below. While writing I would like you to kindly provide me with a copy of my original loan agreement. Secondly according to your email of the same date at 10:34 you say that the outstanding debt (not including your charges is £844. I would like a detailed breakdown of how this figure has been calculated. Lastly in that same email there appear to be two separate charges of £200 for ndr to accept the case file. How can ndr accept the file twice. Also on this point the breakdown of fee charges does not make sense how can charge fee charge 5 be day 43 yet fee charge 3 (two charges) be day 56 and 57? For avoidance of doubt..... I understand the original loan was for £100, to be paid 28 days later. This would add on interest of £36 (as per your flat rate of £9 per week, as stated on the toothfairy) I would make an offer of a full and final settlement of £176 (original loan amount, plus interest, a fair amount for charges, less £24 already paid) paid over 3 instalments. 1st payment of £58.67 would be 1st November 2012 (as I have already been paid all money has been allocated until next pay day). Kindly confirm that this is acceptable?
  16. Thanks Nao Im going to counter every threat with an offer to pay. Im also going to stick to my offer and pay 3 installments. I fear a long road is ahead of me with this one...... H
  17. I am also confused as it says I have to pay by 17:00 today, but then further down the letter it says I have 4 days to pay?? I have replied to them again with my original email, lets see what happens. I also have confirmation in email form that the original loan was for £100 and for a period of 14 - 28 days. Listing the debt as £844 is totally made up. Fingers crossed. H
  18. So from going from no contact speedcredit/toothfairy have really ramped it up this morning Had this lovely email. Definitely going to have to pay hardball with them. I am more than willing to pay back what I borrowed, plus the interest for the 28 days and a fair charge but on a £100 loan £1460 is not acceptable. I think everytime they send me something I am going to reply with my offer. Perhaps I can annoy them enough into accepting my offer. 19. Update Just had this reply... Dear Thank you for your message. Your current outstanding debt is £1460 Please remember that your original loan was for 14- 28 days ONLY. Your offer to pay £176 in installments to close your file has been rejected. However any payments made will be added to your file but WILL NOT be known as a payment plan nor will we freeze any interest. If you are unable to pay in a one off payment, but you are willing to pay £100 per month starting from this month, we are prepared to FREEZE all interest and charges. Please confirm the dates that you will be making payment on and whether you wish for us to set this up to take payment automatically? If you have any questions please don\'t hesitate to call us on 0843 381 1111 Failure to make a payment will lead to ground recovery agents being dispatched to all addresses on file and if no agreement can be reached, proceedings will commence against you in your local county court. Yours Faithfully I can see this is going to be a long slog. I am going to do what Nao suggests and pay off what I think is owed in 3 installments. Is it worth replying again? Does anyone know of any wording I can use? Thanks H
  20. Thanks Nao. I have managed to negotiate with near enough all of my creditors except this one, im used to a bit of backwards and forwards. I even managed to negotiate minicredit (another notorious pdl) down from £1200 to £280 but toothfairy are really difficult. Its taken me over 10 emails just to get this reply out of them. Has anyone had any success with toothfairy at all? I can't find any resolved outcomes on here H
  21. Hey all Without wanting to go into a long and embarrassing tale of how I got to where I am, i have managed to fight my way back from the brink and get rid of nearly all of my 10+ payday loans (3 more are being cleared this week alone!) But there is one not playing ball at all, and surprise surprise its Toothfairy. After a LOT of digging I finally found the way to contact them via email here is the email I sent, their reply and my reply. Any advice on where to go from here would be much appreciated, I am expecting them to come back and reject my offer so any tips would be great.... Do you think iv made an acceptable offer? Dear Sirs I am trying to track down the details of this account I would like to discuss this account via email only, and with that in mind could you kindly provide me with a the following 1. Copy of original credit agreement 2. Breakdown of the account, including fees, charges and total amount now due. 3. Repayment plan options. This was the reply...... Dear Thank you for your message passed to us from Toothfairy Finance. If you have any questions please don\'t hesitate to call us on 0843 381 1111. Failure to make a payment will lead to ground recovery agents being dispatched to all addresses on file and if no agreement can be reached, proceedings will commence against you in your local county court. Yours Faithfully Door Collections Marshall Hoares Bailiffs After stalking this forum I sent this reply....... Dear Thank you for your email. So what do we think? H
