  1. will do, thanks for the advice
  2. current code is now 960LM 1
  3. Yes they have they said it will be with me in 3 weeks. I need to wait until that comes in and review it.
  4. Hello, Back in January 2015 i started a new job and with it came a company car, i got all the details and immediately called HMRC to inform them of this. Fast forward a few months and in August 2015 i left the company, returned the company car and again immediately called HMRC to inform them of this. Started a new job with a new company in September 2015 which didn't come with a company car. I get a letter from HMRC in September 2015 to say that i have underpaid tax so i call them up and they say its to do with the company car i used to have in the old job, they said they will adjust my tax code to make sure i pay back what i owe in the next financial year. I never really argued and said ok. Fast forward to now and i am still paying it back and my tax code has changed at least twice because of it all. Surely i shouldn't be paying back tax on a company car i returned back in August 2015 and even informed HMRC of all the changes??
  5. i think its been long enough and HMRC have still to provide the SAR we requested, it was requested on the 3rd Jan 2017 and still no sign off it. Can anyone now point me on the next steps , also to note i have heard nothing from PastDue also in the last few weeks.
  6. Ok, i will give it another week then as i assume that will be 40days.
  7. applied for the SAR from HMRC on the 3rd Jan 2017 and still nothing back from them. So in theory 12/13th Feb is their 40 days up then ?? Also i will continue to ignore PastDue and not communicate with them what so ever. Thanks again
  8. just an update on this thread. Applied for the SAR from HMRC but still have yet to receive it, in that time we have had only had 1 letter from PastDue. I am still ignoring the letters from PastDue until i get the SAR from HMRC but just worried in regards to time as we applied for the SAR at the start of January and its still not here. Shall i write a letter in or make contact with HMRC again ??
  9. well i do think they are correct and we do owe them xxx amount but i am not sure, i will see when the SAR arrives
  10. shall i await the SAR from them (HMRC) now or write them a letter outlining all this ? thanks for the advice
  11. Just off the phone with HMRC, firstly spoke to the person on the repayment plan team. As soon as they took my details they said i shouldn't be speaking to them and to call Pastdue , i then said i am refusing to speak or deal with Pastdue and will only deal with HMRC on this matter. They then said they'll transfer me to the specialist team that looks after repayments. After the transfer i again give my details and the person asked was i paying it all in full today, i said no and will setup a repayment plan now with them for a direct debit. I was then told this isn't possible and the debt is now with Pastdue and to call them to arrange repayment. I said i have requested a SAR from HMRC and will not under any circumstances deal with Pastdue, they then said well sorry there is nothing we can do. I then ended the call by saying i will now put all this in writing and expect a reply from HMRC on this matter. So after pushing them that i will only deal with them (HMRC) they are now saying no and to only deal with Pastdue. Any ideas or advice on what i should do next ??
  12. will update soon when i get feedback from HMRC
  13. thanks renegadedeimp I will call back again and ask for a manager to deal with my issue and to start a repayment plan. Is it worth even a writing recorded delivery letter to HMRC about this ?
  14. thanks for the feedback again, I called HMRC and said we have completed the SAR but i was told i cant setup a repayment plan as the 'debt' now lies with pastdue and i have to contact them. I did mention that i would prefer to deal with HMRC but the person on the phone said to call pastdue now. any ideas on what to do now as i dont want to leave it to long ?
  15. thanks for the feedback We have started contact to HMRC in the form of applying and completing the SAR. Do you feel we should wait till the SAR is here before contacting HMRC again or contact them now to setup a repayment plan. I have had a couple missed calls from Pastdue but have ignored them. Thanks
  16. Hi, Back in September of this year myself and my wife both received separate letters from HMRC to say we where overpaid Tax Credits and that we need to call them to call them to pay this amount. I did call them straight away to dispute as we were sure that we informed HMRC of a change in circumstances and we believe we shouldn't have to pay this back. The way it was left was HMRC told us we had to dispute it but tbh we never really got round to it. Now we have received letters to both of us from PastDue Credit solutions saying they have been asked by HMRC to contact us in regards to overpaid Tax Credits. I then immediately called HMRC in regards to this and was told that they cant deal with me anymore and to deal with PastDue from now on. Since then myself and my wife have discovered that we didnt actually inform HMRC in change of circumstances and we probably were overpaid the Tax Credits. I do want to set up a repayment but dont want to deal with PastDue at all. Any advice on what i should do ?? Thanks G
  17. letter sent to Halifax HBOS today 11/08/2014 (Recorded Delivery)soon as I get reply i will update the threadThanks
  18. Ok, I'll get a letter drafted up, upload it as a PDF and you can see if I need to add or remove anything. That's if you don't mind. Thanks
  19. Tbh, I didn't know I could, I was very inexpierenced at all this and it wasn't until I was going through all the letters regards the Halifax Credit Card that I found no default notice or even letter saying the account was heading for a default. Despite my lack of knowledge or even stupidness, is there any way that I can try push for proof of Halifax issuing a letter of default or even notice of warning that account was going to be defaulted ??
  20. Yes it is related to that older thread. I am opened this thread as the Default that Halifax put on Credit File is really damming me getting any credit. I haven't had a load or credit card since that Halifax one but I was recently rejected for credit due to the default Halifax issued against me. So what you saying is they don't have to provide any proof via document or letter that a default was issued, if so I've no chance of it getting removed ?
  21. Hello, Halifax have issued a Default on my Credit File back in June 2011 due missed/late payments on an old Credit Card, the balance was paid off at the start of this year in full but I am questioning now if Halifax have ever issued a Default letter or Notice of the impending Default to myself. I am have all the documents regards the Credit Card from Halifax and there is no Default Letter or Letter satating they are going to issue a Default against me .How would i go about seeking proof that Halifax did issue a default letter or notice as i want the Default removed from my Credit File. Thanks,
  22. So looks like my thread has come to an end, Halifax and I have agreed on a Final offer which is to remove the late fee's and over limit charges which in turn has reduced the outstanding amount by almost £1200. So now I just begin the process of paying the remaining balance off, I have agreed with Halifax that I will be paying a specific amount every month which suits me perfect due to my financial situation. There is a final response letter being sent to me and I have also sent in my own letter confirming everything. So a massive thanks to everyone that helped me out on this thread and that offered me advice, draft letters and just general info. Special mention goes to citizenB, thanks for everything
  23. any of the senior members or regular posters what take a hit at my latest post above or offer some advice then please. Thanks
  24. just got a voicemail from the Halifax Customer Services person, think they said they were a manager regarding the recent letter I sent in (42man drafted up for me, see post #136) and they said to call them back to discuss the matter and even said to call them on their direct line. So should I call back and if so what should I say ??
  25. Thanks, ill get the letter drafted up now and send it recorded delivery. Hopefully they will clear the over limit fee's and late fees so I can get this matter sorted. Thanks again all for your help and advice
