  1. Just as an extra, as far as I'm aware, the company Logbook Loans was bought out by an American company and they have relaunched as Logbookloans2go according to letters some people received after Logbook Loans went into administration.
  2. Sorry to Hijack the thread but I have the same worry about my account with natwest. I'm currently on a account that has no overdraft charges (A graduate account) would they just be able to pull this from under me too?
  3. Clearly just a mistake. As people have said, it makes no sense for you to spend £20 in the store then steal a £1.50 lipgloss. They didn't call the police right then so I don't see why they would further down the line. Maybe they took your details just incase you were to 'steal' again, which you obviously wont be and obviously didn't in the first place.
  4. Sounds like maybe the previous owner is trying to pull a fast one on the mobile phone company. Id get in contact with your service provider and explain the situation.
  5. Shows that the main question you need to ask yourself before taking out loans like this is: are you organised and can you pay them back properly? Good on you for being one of the people who are doing it the right way!
  6. I always see so many people complaining about Virgin Media but I have never had any problems with them since they took over from NTL. Sometimes downloads get a bit poor but thats probably due to me being on a 10MB line, same with the TV everything is always fine. The thing I have noticed is that in my area people seem to be fine, but in other areas Virgin Media seems to be a real bone of contention.
  7. Great petition and one I will definitely get behind. Signed!
  8. Worries me when people take out Logbook Loans. These guys are in the business of ripping people off, I've studied this kind of loan fairly extensively recently and its clear that 99% of them are very unforgiving when it comes to trying to help you get out of the debt because at the end of the day, they have your car as leverage. Just take a look on Google for all the lawsuits filed against Logbook Loan companies recently.
  9. Seems like a sticky situation. The best way is probably what has been echoed on this forum of enrolling then going on the sick if you can, or trying to come to some kind of agreement whereby she could do some work during her recovery. Seems quite harsh that they would just refuse her enrolment when she has to have this operation.
  10. Sad news really, we kind of knew after all the protests and distinct lack of reponse that these measured and new tuition fees wouldn't be changed. I'm just glad I got through uni the year before this happened, as selfish as it sounds
  11. Sadly you haven't done much. Their company has been bought out by an American company who are going to start relaunching them. You cut off it's head and two grow back. The only way people will stop these loans is if people STOP USING them.
