  1. Nah I have no idea why either, but then if they had any sense they would pay out before the court claim and save themselves a whole heap of money. Can you work out what the payment covers? or is it just a random amount?
  2. YAYYYYYYY YOU!!! I hope they don't try this drips and drabs thing with me, my account is closed and I would like just the one big fat cheque! Well done enjoy your shopping! x
  3. Yea glitter this is your thread Someone will see and answer all your queries, sometimes quickly, sometimes a bit longer, but there are loads of really clever people (Im not one of them unfortuanely!) that will be able to help as soon as they can.
  4. check this one out.................. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/nationwide/49478-nationwide-have-paid-up.html Maybe we will all be so lucky!?!
  5. Apologies to Kirsty who seems to have had her thread somewhat Hijacked!
  6. lol To be fair Emma the 24th was only three days ago and two of those were the weekend Patience is a virtue or so Im told! Mine was issued today, seriously not expecting to hear anymore for at least another week, course though, would be nice if I did!!
  7. If you haven't heard anything else within two weeks of sending the letter, continue with the next stage. Don't let the bank set the timescale, or they will take full advantage and take as long as possible. It makes no difference how they dress up the "wait whilst we investigate" letters, they are all delaying tactics and should be ignored! JMHO hope this helps
  8. Welcome and well done! Don't worry Halifax are pussycats lol
  9. There is absolutely no reason why you wouldnt get the same result as before! I did two claims for Halifax for the same account, without any problems. Remember its YOUR money! Go for it!
  10. I personally think its both much of a muchness! They both work! Mcol is convenient because you dont need to leave the house, but isnt suitable for people who are exempt from court fees. N1 allows more space for the particulars of claim, but you have to go into the courts to file. Hope this helps
  11. Yes you can continue to add charges right up until you file your court claim. Just add the new/missed charges into the schedule and alter the total. Hope this helps
  12. Recieved another letter in reply to my LBA yesterday, cheeky so and so's sent me a duplicate letter of the reply from the preliminary, assuming that I hadnt recieved it! Anyway the result was still the same, we believe the charges are fair ra ra blah blah I have just filed my money claim , couple of days early admittedly but they had the chance and the letter made it clear they weren't gonna budge. Anyway what else is there to do on a wet sunday afternoon?!
  13. Hiya My advice would be no!, simply because, when I have needed statements from Halifax in the past, for the Inland revenue, for example they have provided them really quickly. It was only when I sent them a S.A.R. that they dragged it out for as long as possible, and then some more! Give them the week, and see what happens, but in my opinion if Halifax don't think you want them for claims you get them a whole lot quicker!
  14. I was checking hourly the week my mcol went in........it paid off one fine friday at about two pm. Don't stress you WILL get it!
  15. Have you checked your account today Mo? Money will land any minute.............Now!
  16. If I am honest........no I don't think so either, but I am not sure just how legally binding these letters are. Ask a MOD if possible.
  17. Hiya Kelly Congratulations on the baby!!!......what did you have? Did you accept your payment as full and final settlement from the bank, or was it accepted as a goodwill gesture?
  18. Yea Tam I had a letter from Capital one in reply to my preliminary, saying the normal rubbish about eight weeks etc, there Lba is due at the end of the week. I had yet another letter, this morning from those slighty inept lot aka Lowell finance saying that the debt has been passed to the pre - litigation dept, I have sent them yet another letter, (not very polite and with no holes barred!) Congratulations on your promotion btw You deffo deserve it!
  19. Nah not a dickie bird Im filing next Tuesday, so If they are planning on settling out of court they had better get a wriggle on.........but I'm not holding my breath lol
  20. yea thats right this one: nationwide BS nationwide house pipers way swindon sn38 1nw
  21. lol @ you! It will come up as being signed with your name printed Oh and apparently its the piper address you need to use!
  22. Wait exactly two weeks from the day they would of recieved the lba thats plenty of time for them to pay up without the interest and court costs being added. If they want to pay these extra amounts, who are we to argue eh?!
