  2. Hi Bo, I'm afraid it sounds like you've been a victim of online fraud. We've had several reports of criminals using the Shiply name to conduct an illegal practice called phishing and steal money, often by selling a vehicle/product that doesn't exist. If you look back through your correspondence in regards to the purchase of the vehicle, you will find that the emails do not come from @shiply.com. Hi Ian, Sorry to hear about that, we can confirm that even though our system might say "you will not be entitled to a refund", if the transport provider accepts your cancellation request, you will still get it back.   6. Hi graemepark, I'm sorry that our emailed response was not what you were expecting and this prompted you to post up here. I feel perhaps this is partly our fault for not explaining the process in more depth to you. Shiply operates with over 8,500 independent transport companies of differing sizes. For these firms, ensuring they keep their vehicles full is very important to them. Therefore, it is vital that we help minimize cancellations on routes they have already planned out. This is the reason why we ask you to pay an up-front deposit which we transfer to the transport provider's account on Shiply. It helps to reduce the number of cancellations and time-wasters who cancel and affect transport providers bottom lines. Just like any deposit really, you are committing to buy the service on offer, if you then pull out of the commitment, you lose the deposit. In this instance, I understand that this is particularly hard for you to accept as the fault lies with the eBay seller and not yourself. We do sympathise with you here, it is unfortunate, we can see that you personally had every intention of completing the transaction, however that isn't what happened. In line with our user agreement, we do reserve the right to make the final decision as to whether or not to grant a refund of deposit payments. For the reasons stated above, I'm afraid that it is not possible. From what you have said here, it looks like you would certainly be entitled to a refund.
