  1. Hi everyone I have been claiming jsa but have been ill for the last 2 weeks from 18th and I am due to sign on this Mon 1st Feb but will not be fit to. I am aware that I need to end my claim for jsa and claim the alternative Employment and Support Allowance if I am going to be ill for longer than 14days. My question is if I do this will the last 2 weeks that I have been ill be paid as part of my jsa or will my claim for Employment and Support Allowance start from the 18th Jan and cover the last 2 weeks I have been ill? which would mean I would be waiting quite a few weeks for a paymnet of any kind.
  2. hi fuzzybobble I have sent them the second letter(account in dispute) they signed for it monday. All I have had is a letter offering reduced payment to settle, and a call today asking for £5 a month for 3 months no acknowledement of either letter I have sent. thanks
  3. Hiya Yes I have sent the second letter and they have signed for it. I was worried about the interest still being added! It's funny I have heard nothing for months but since I sent the first request for a copy of my agreement I get a letter offering a deal, and then when I send the second letter they call me the day after signing for it, to hassle me. It appears to me they cannot provide it, I just wondered if I should be writing again because I have no acknowledgement from them of my request at all? Rest assured I will not being talking to them again at all Thanks everyone
  4. Ah I see it was a private number so I answered as I thought it may be about a job, I did answer one security question yes my year of birth but that is it. My point is though because the account is in dispute they should not be ringing me at all, and they are totally ignoring this and its still getting interest charged too. I have had no acknowledgemnt of my first request for a copy of my agreement and no acknowledgement of my second letter either saying the account is in dispute so what do I do?? thanks by the way
  5. Hi everyone I have recently sent off the second letter(template from this forum) tp Calder stating the account is in dispite because they have not provided a copy of my agrrement. It has been signed for so I know they have it. Today I received a letter asking me to call because barclays say they're prepared to take a reduced amount as total payment which I threw away. But I have just had a call from them today firstly they said its calders legal dept and they have just received my account which I know is rubbish but they did not akcnowledge anything regarding my account being in dispute and said it is still being charged interest. So what do I do now? is there another template letter I can send them? Any advice would be great Thanks everyone Mark
  6. I see well fingers crossed they can't provide a copy of my agreement then, thanks for your advice it's much appreciated!
  7. oh I see thanks for that, well they have until next Wed to get me my copy. If they don'y or can't provide it and the account becomes in dispute what happens? Does it stay in limbo forever or get written off eventually? Mark
  8. I'm not familiar with that case, but how can they put info on your credit file about a debt they can't prove exists? doesn't sound right to me. Anyway that makes the letter template (failure to comply) on here out of date then, who updates them if anyone? cheers Mark
  9. Hi everyone I just wondered if the collection agency do not provide a copy of my agreement, is it correct that when it is in dispute they must remove all entries regarding this debt from my credit file?
  10. yeah I just type my name and always recorded cheers!
  11. I'll do the same as you today, I know what you mean about the idiots not knowing what they are doing. Get this about a week after the oft lost their case witht the banks I got a smug letter from hsbs saying my charges were fair and I wouldnt be getting a refund. But I GOT them all back 20 months earlier (£1000) because I was suffering financial hardship, So I sent them a letter back thanking them lol thanks for your advice I'm very grateful Mark
  12. It is a bank loan for £7,500 I sent them a recorded letter asking for a copy of my original credit agreement. They sent me a letter from the compliance dept that acknowledges this and says my account has been placed on hold and no further collection activity will occur until it is resolved. Today I got a letter from the same company only the collections dept saying they had not received any reply to their letters and so they have set up a payment plan of £443 a month and will consider this acceptable if they dont get a reply. So do Ii just wait and see if I get my copy of agreement? or do I reply to this letter from collections and tell them about my letter from their compliance dept? It seems one doesn't know what the other is doing!
  13. Hi everyone I have a letter from a collection company telling me they have received my request for a copy of my agreement and my account is on hold and no collection activity will occur until the matter is resolved. However today I have received a letter fro them albeit a different debt saying I have not responded to their initial letters and they have set up a repayment plan for me for a crazy sum and will consider it accepted if I do not reply. Have they broken some law by doing this? Should I ignore and wait for the outcome of my request for agreement copy? Thanks Mark
  14. Yeah I know, well I'll just see if I hear anything over the next week or so. I am going to send a letter though to the company that has just sent me another letter asking for payment, to refer them to my orignal letter asking for a copy of my agreement.
  15. well the probelm is I sent template letters saying they had 28 days to respond obviously outdated info, does this matter or not?
  16. Right I see so I can type letters to both and send them next week with the letter 20 then. Just a couple of questions is the 12 + 2 working days? Do I count those from the day they signed for it or the date I posted it? What happens if they send a copy of agreement after 12 + 2 have elapsed?
  17. By respond do you mean just acknowledge my letter?? The other company I wrote to have done that and said they consider it to be in dispute until they have provided my copy of agreement.
  18. yes i posted recorded and its been signed for
  19. Hi everyone I am sorry If this has been covered as I am sure it has somewhere I just can't seem to find it there's so much to take in here. I sent 2 letters to collection agencies asking for a true copy of my credit agreement on the 17TH Dec. I have had one letter back acknowledging receipt and telling me they have sent off for it. Today I received a standard collection letter asking for full payment with no reference to my letter asking for a copy of my credit agreement and saying interest will continue to be added this company is calder financial acting on behalf of Barclays I believe. My question is do I respond to this letter? or wait until 30 days have elapsed then contact them? Any advice would be great. Hope all the great people here have a good year and everything works out.
  20. Hi everyone I know there's already threads about this just cant find em. Can anyone direct me to a template letter to ask for a copy of my credit agreement and also one to send if I do not receive a copy in the set time or at all. Thanks all Mark
  21. Hi evryone hope someone may be able to give me some advice. I am currently almost at the point of making an appointment at court to declare myself bankrupt. Everything is filled in with the help of the cab money advice unit. I am just trying to get the money together because I got made redundant. Because I have stopped maing any payments towards any of my debts on the cab's advice I am now getting threatening letters about court action, ccj's etc. All my credit is unsecured and I have no assets and have just moved to my dads whilst I get through this. Obviously I dont want people turning up at my dads door, he doesn't need it. One inparticular keeps asking me on the phone how close I am to having the money to go bankrupt obviously I say nothing. But do I just ignore these threats? or is there something I should tell them? At the very latest it will be Jan when I finally go bankrupt. any advice would be great good luck everyone mark
