  1. No I didn't regrettably, I just assumed the agency would pay me on completion.
  2. Exactly no they never mentioned it at all. I assumed as I was working for them they'll pay and then bill the landlord
  3. Yes I have a reply to my initial quote that just says please go ahead with the work
  4. No the last one just said it was work for them but they did not hold money for this property so the landlord has to pay it
  5. No all I have are the emails, that's the only contact I have had with them
  6. when I contacted them about payment. They said it was work for them, but because they didn't hold any money for this property the landlord has to pay. As citizenB said I would have thought it's up to them to pay me and get their money off the landlord
  7. Hi everyone I am a Decorator and did a job for an estate agents on a flat they rent out for the owner. The only communication I have had is with the estate agents. I emailed the quote and they gave me the go ahead. Once completed I emailed them the invoice. However I have not been paid, they say they've forwarded the invoice to the owner, but I think the estate agents should pay me and get the money off the owner is this right?

    HMRC rebate

Myself and most of my work colleagues were given rebates for the year 2012/13. It now turns out that we will most probably have to pay them back because our employer has actually not given the HMRC the correct and complete information for the last two tax yrs. I just wondered what our rights are regarding this when it's obviously a mistake by our employer shouldn't he have to pay it?
  9. I've stupidly had a loan from these parasites in the past thankfully I was able to pay it back only 2 months later so avoided paying most of their interest charges. I hate the way they exploit people who are desperate, and just hope the government do something about these companies
  10. I was told if they cannot provide a signed copy it is difficult to enforce the agreement
  11. I requested a copy of my credit agreement yes and sent a p.o for £1. I thought they should be able to provided me with a copy of my signed agreement not just a blank one? It is in arrears yes not sure where to take it I was just waiting for this signed copy and was then going to take it from there.
  12. Hi thanks I cant open that document my pic/fax viewer is not working. should I just write and tell them that is not what I asked for then? Thanks again Mark
  13. Hi everyone First not sure if im posting in the right place so sorry if im not. I asked Barclaycard for a copy of my credit agreement with them about 8months ago. Today I received a letter quoting section 78 of the consumer credit act 1974. It basically says they do not have to provide documentation in answer to validation of debt corrspondence but they have taken steps to provide me with the contractual terms under which my financial obligations arise. They have included a photo copy of their terms and conditions but not a copy of my signed credit agreement at all. Question is do they have to provide a signed copy and what should I say in reply? any advice would be fantastic Best Mark
  14. Hi everyone I am getting letters from equidebt regarding a loan with santander. I sent them the first letter asking for a copy of my cedit agreement and i got a reply saying they were obtaining it and would not make any collection attempts until I have got it. They did not provide it so I sent the second letter saying I consider the account in dispute because they haven't provided my credit agreement copy. I heard nothing for several months 3 weeks ago got a letter asking for money to which i did not reply. Today I have a letter saying because i failed to reply they have set up a repayment plan for 500 a month and if i dont reply by the 6th may they will consider this accepable to me. My question is do I reply to them? or ignore them? or send a copy of the letter they sent me saying they wouldnt make any collection attempts? I know they are trying it on just not sure which is the best course of action . i am currently not working either. Thanks Mark
  15. yes i included a postal order, but how can I check if thats been cashed?? does it matter anyway?
  16. yes well I think I will send them the letter telling them I will not respond to anymore letters until they provide what i've asked for, and will report them for harassment if they continue to threaten me
  17. yes I did and both were signed for, they have just never acknowledged them at all
  18. Hello everyone Just some advice needed if possible, I have sent my rewuest for my credit agreement and the second letter (account in dispute) both of which they have received and signed for. However they have never acknowledged my request and continue to hassle me. I had not heard anything for about 8 weeks until today when I received a letter entitled Pre legal notice saying the usual things they can do. So just wonderd what to do now do I ignore? or do I send the failure to comply letter on here? Any help would be great Thanks Mark
  19. Hi everyone I sent 2 letters to different collection agencies asking for copies of my credit agreement about 6 weeks ago. One replied and said they have asked for it and until it has been supplied to me my account would be on hold and the other company has not replied at all. I have now sent the second letters as I have not received a copy from the company that replied to my initial request, and still nothing at all from the 2nd company. It is now nearly three weeks since I sent the second letters and I have heard nothing at all from either. My question is do I just forget them now until I hear something? all letters were sent recorded and signed for. Does it matter that the second company (Calder) have not even acknowledged either of the letters i have sent to them? Thanks Mark
