Congrats on getting your charges back - never heard of them withdrawing overdrafts before now, may be a new tactic? Were you over your overdraft limit by any chance? Could you put exactly what it says in your letter?
-
What a nightmare for you But welcome here To start - what form exactly have you got from the court - I presume it is to get a CCJ issued against you? And have you got all your bank statements for the past 6 years?

Hi, You definitely go for the remainder....need to get that court claim issued now As for the goodwill payment, use this letter .... and no, they won't take the money back from you. Basically they are hoping that you'll think they are so nice giving you some money back, you won't bother going for the rest!! http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/25716-rejecting-offers.html Hope that helps.

Won part payment 2 days before issuing N1

So, let me get this right (head not working today!!) You sent prelim and LBA and asked for £457 fees and said that you would be claiming £143.43 contractual interest? They paid the £457 - your charges - BEFORE you have started your court claim? -

Do you mean that £143.43 was the 8% interest rate had you filed the claim? If £457 is the total of the charges, and if you haven't filed your claim yet, then you are not entitled to the 8% back. That can only be added once the claim is filed. -
I could possibly make that as well - am about an hour away from Southport.

Small article in Daily Mail yesterday (or the day before) about the £125 fine for A&L for closing the account. Can't find anything online, will type out later.....but CAG is mentioned :)

Abagnale should be excellent at 'Operation Revenge' if you are like your namesake

Please, please read around this forum....don't even think about issuing a claim in the current climate.
-
Unfortunately from what has happened in the cases so far, it would appear to mean precisely that. But I do see what you mean.

For those of you who don't know Zooman, he has a lot of knowledge in what he is talking about. Just wanted to point that out.
